It works decently. I got 67mm using a ruler in the mirror and this gave 67mm. The only way that I could get a good result though was by using a tripod with a phone holder attachment. Would probably work better with a friend taking the picture for you also. I would like to suggest to the developers to put the shutter buttons higher up on the screen, because that's what made it hard for me to use. It's awkward to hold the phone down low so you can reach the shutter button with your thumb.

Its just not accurate. I tried it over a dozen times with different results each time. This led me to decide using a ruler and mirror instead, where I found it was around 3 or 4 mm different from all the results from this app. Additionally I later found that several online glasses retailers have a very similar process offered free on their websites. Waste of money.

Fairly accurate, but can be difficult in selfie mode. Luckily, able to use a friend and rear camera to make a bit easier. Since the selfie flips for alignment, can be harder to get the card straight and flat on subsequent tries. Kind of important since the card is used for the basis of the measurements. Getting the card straight and flat in the picture, as well as keeping your eyes open as wide as possible (think old Dracula movies) will improve accuracy since you control the outcome.

The app is easy to use, but if your phone is large, holding the phone and a card makes it hard to press the take picture button. This can be fixed if they just move the button to the middle left. Although it would be better if they gave you the option to place it anywhere you want since lefties would be screwed if the button was hard set on the middle left.

Incorrect measurements despite several attempts. Went to a eye doctor for a proper measurement and this app was about 10mm off.. Waste of $8. Also a pain to use when you can't see the app. (While the setup boxes are bright, they are super thin, so when you have to take your glasses off for measurement, you aren't able to easily make out where to line up your head.. maybe make that a little bolder.

Couldn't get an accurate reading, zooming in is broken. The edited photo was zoomed in but the position is not saved, so I only saw the blank space at the top of the image outside of where the oval was focussed. This made it very awkward for me to position the crosshairs, and made it very difficult to get an accurate result.

Does the job, wasnt sure at first because it's easy to get different readings. Once covid hit and I saw specsavers eyeballing people's PD with a bit of paper I figured it's not an exact science. Your PD will vary depending on the distance you are looking at, so factor that in when you take the measurement depending what you need the glasses for. The phone at arms length is a good point to focus on, but if you stare ahead or very close up you will get different readings.

I needed my pupil distance for an online order of eyeglasses and not having any ruler to use I downloaded this app without much confidence it would give me a very accurate reading. I followed the instructions to the letter 3 times and got 3 readings of 60mm. The 5 second timer was really useful I couldn't have taken accurate pictures without it. I'm confident the results appear to be very accurate and the app is worth a 5 star rating.

It's a little awkward and I only used it once, but I compared it to a manual measurement using a ruler for my son. It seems fairly accurate, giving me the same number I got on the first try whilst also recommending a separate value for reading glasses, which is what these are for. Seems useful! Will measure again just to be sure.

Tried it for the last few days, more then 30 times, and kept getting different results. There should to be a custom timer and perhaps a movable camera button. Also, the red arrors for aligning to the center of the eye often blocked out my eyes so I couldn't see them.

Really helpful, and easy to use. I recommend going through the process more than once, and focusing on the phones front facing camera for the most accurate reading. I only had to do it 4 times. First time I got 58mm, second time I got 57mm, but the next two tries I got 58mm again.

Measuring PD was easy and I think it's accurate, but for best results have someone else help you press the phone cam's shutter button to avoid arm movement, eye pupils looking down and especially if you have a high measurement prescription! I could barely see if my face was inside the red circle without my eyeglasses.

I'm glad I found this app. I used other apps to measure my ipd and I did not have good results. They were much more difficult to take photos and get the lines of the cards to position correctly as well as clearly see the center of my pupils. I measured multiple times with this app and got a consistent reading so I feel it's accurate outside of the course of action of going to an eye doctor to get a professional ipd measurement. If you're looking for something quick and easy at home, buy.

Consistent Results; Easy to use. Unlike some apps you can adjust the "auto found" pupil positions in the case these are a bit out. I took 4 readings with different lighting. All 4 within +/- 0.5mm of the mean and agrees with an alternative app. I can't compare with an optometrist measured value... As mine would not release the information "it so much depends on the exact application and therefore..." Hmm. UPDATE: Complex prescription varifocals arrived from online provider... Perfect.

Inconsistent. Capture screen oval does not line up if you hold your phone as instructed. Importing a portrait picture produced landscape import. Readings taken only with in app picture gave consistent results, however generating said pictures was difficult on wrist to line up with oval. Does not allow you to save readings, log information. You have to write down your PD manually.

I like that result are fairly consistent. Only drawback is trying to take the photo with your glasses off vision not corrected. Would be nice to have feature where a friend could take the photo for you.

Worked for me! I tried it twice. 1st time 59mm second 58mm. It does take a little getting used to take the picture by pressing the volume button but it can be done with a little practice. To make sure you do this right, watch the instruction video at the beginning.

The general idea, UI and help is pretty good. Where it fails is that the lines used to set the card edges and eye centres are too thick. (at least on my device SONY Compact X) This makes it impossible to adjust it accurately.

dea. Apr 19, 2019

A great idea, but not accurate enough. I tried it a bunch of times and got results from 58.5 to 61. Went and got it measured by an optician and it is 60. So, it gets close, but it doesn't have enough options to really get the accuracy that you need.

Jas. L. May 13, 2019

I tried getting my PD in a mirror, but that is difficult. I thought I was 61 or 62 mm, a family member thought I was 64....the app was easy to set up and use. I'm 61.5mm. Very precise and much easier than using a ruler & a mirror!

Ros. B. Oct 18, 2021

I made several attempts. And after I had been at it for over a hour. I was still not able to get the distance that it would need to get an accurate reading. Unless my arms were twice as long as they normally are it would not be able to give me a accurate reading. I would like to have a refund as I was not able to use it. I was distorted and my face was not able to fit in the oval shape. Ridiculous and a waste of time and money. Thank you Rosie Borba

Ska. G. Jun 4, 2019

The oval to center the face forces one to keep the phone at an *unnaturally far* distance from the face and a *very uncomfortable* position and it doesn't provide *any mean* to tell if you are keeping your phone straight or not!! Also one should be able to center the oval *without* glasses! A purpleish oval is not exactly *visible*! Pointing the pupils with mere dots is another bad idea! I had a reading *-0.7mm* different from an app that took these issues in account!! I want my money back!

A little difficult at first. Held phone against a wall to ensure 90 degrees on selfie. Eventually got a usable shot. Double checking results with another method to be sure.

Not easy to get a good photo of myself but not the app's fault. That part took me many attempts. I did it three times jn a row to validate my first successful attempt.

The fact that it suggests holding a credit card in your picture is suspicious right from the start. They say they don't take the data from it but I used a Tim Hortons gift card just to be safe. The whole process is awkward and there's way too much manual input and room for error. I'm not confident at all that I got the right result.
