Full page ads when you use your phone for anything! Had to run a detector and found out this app was the culprit. I use my phone for work too and it's really frustrating when they pop up out of nowhere and you can't even change your settings. If you just had a little ad with your product would be one thing but not my whole phone!! Avoid at all costs
the app itself works perfectly fine, not a problem there. But I started getting ads playing even when the app wasn't open? I would be texting a friend, say, and then I'd get a full screen ad for ola rides or something which I couldn't close for the duration of the ad. Couldn't get any screenshots. But they were coming from some bug on this app, and once I deleted this app I stopped getting those ads.
i cant figure out how to use the editing function or at the very least find the interface shown in the description screenshots, which isnt a must-have for me but it would be nice. none of the menus have anything related to editing and holding down/double tapping isnt doing anything. also the ads are super annoying, i usually dont mind them but they make my whole screen go black before showing up
Warning if you download this app you will get a ton of ads popping up on your phone! I'm not talking about ads that pop up when you're actually using the app. Ads were popping up at random times on my phone. Glad I finally figured out that this was the source by using an ad detector! Now that I've deleted this"pdf reader" app I no longer have the problem.
Pretty good app actually in terms of functionality. The way it shows its ads though is just awful, an ad can pop up any time, doesn't matter if the app is being used at the moment, and even when something else is on. Don't know if it's intended or some kind of a bug.
This app is definitely the best PDF reader I have used. It has been designed in a way which is user friendly and easy to navigate. I like the way the app functions as a whole, and in the individual areas of accessibility, capability, and versatility. The app also includes a variety of beneficial features, such as the ability to change the layout of your files, and the capacitive qualities necessary to accommodate a diverse range of texts and documents. I would recommend this app to anyone.
The app itself works fine, but it is also very invasive and randomly opens ads when it's not in use. I've never seen an app that does that. I understand they need to make money, but they can be like everyone else and just keep their ads in their app, not randomly open ads when you aren't even using it.
It won't let me send the files to my email or anywhere. The share button does not work. On top of that, the ads are just insane ridiculously intrusive. You exit out of a document, add. You enter into a document, add. You try to share? You can guess the rest. I know that it's free, but it is too much.
As far as opening PDF files, this app does what it should. But after installing it, suddenly i have random full-screen apps popping up on my phone. Sometimes when im using another app, and sometimes when I first unlock the phone. I understand the need to generate revenue to support app developement. But this app crosses the line. Uninstalling.
This ad has more pop ups than pop tarts have had their entire existence. Every time I opened anything I had a pop up, full screen at that ! Ads, I dont mind when using that particular app and their small but when I'm using other apps ? I think not ! It took me a few days to figure out it was this app as I have some apps that I thought were more likely responsible but I had them installed for a ling time without issue. I did research on how to find these annoyances and there it was, PDF Viewer !!
Does what it's supposed to. I'm pretty understanding about ads in a free app but this is too much, when I opened the app an ad opened up, okay no problem, close it and select the document I want to open and another ad opens up, hmm okay, I don't plan to use the app all the time so whatever. BUT the app has repeatedly opened an ad even when I haven't used the app and then the app runs in the background (as if I had opened the app but minimized it) even after I've dismissed the ad. NOT OKAY!!!
Yes this pdf reader is my choice. There is something I observed about it that has not been found in other readers. I hope I could explain it quite technically as best I can, but when I magnify a page to suit me, and I have to turn to the next and on and on, all others remain as magnified. I love this, because it saves me continual magnification of each page as I read on. You are special!
Extremely annoying, distracting ads, with zero way to purchase pro to stop them?? I'm trying to use this in taking crucial continuing education courses on a tight deadline, already difficult bc I have to read the course text in tiny 2 or 3-point type on my phone. I don't need eye-boggling ads making me nauseated & headachey at bottom of page! UNINSTALLED
»¯\/\/¯ARNING!!_¯_¯« Kept showing up as 2 complete(though admittedly same) apps. But in Settings→Apps there was one. Tried uninstalling and was unable to at first. Finally figured out how (not enough space for full exp, but shut down all permissions, appear on top, background web activity, etc.) Oh, and to make it worse/more confusing, had another one d/l'ed and same thing happened so NOW looked like 4 (well, 2 & 2 though very similar!) Cannot run/open files anyway!! Do a clean after un-inst.
easy to use. no problems opening Documents from a range of companies. it's just the advertising that let's it down abit. but the advertising is not in your face all the time. But then the advertising most probably pays for these types of apps. so you cant have your cake and eat it, as they say.
I've been getting random pop up ads even when my phone isn't using this app. sometimes when I'm in the middle of using a different app a FULL SCREEN AD will randomly pop up. It has been terribly frustating because none of my apps have triggered such behavior. until I checked which app was causing said ads to pop up. turns out it was this app. for shame.
It was opening ads. Even when I didn't use the app for few days. I don't mind watching stupid adds when I'm about to use the app, but not when I'm on a phone call and it hangs because stupid pdf app opens ad! Annoying and harmful. Edit: I know the free apps earn by showing ads and is understandable to show them while using the app but it's ridiculous when the app opens itself and shows ads while it's not being used!
This app contains adware. It will make your life miserable, so just don't download it. If you do, be prepared that no matter how important the stuff on your screen is, it will be interrupted by fullscreen ads rather frequently (like once every 20-30 mins...). Just don't...
This app has the most intrusive ads I've ever encountered. Merely entering my password and opening my homepage, a full screen ad begins. The ads require viewing for no less than 15 seconds before the exit button appears. Not once! NOT ONCE DID THE EXIT BUTTON FUNCTION! The only way to kill is to access the "all apps" button and then hit the "close all" feature. Avoid this one for sure! Shame on you Google for even allowing this app on Google Play.
I really like this app, but it doesnt read some of the pdf's and i know i shouldnt be critical about this, but they should udate this so that it can read pdfs so that i can see ones that arent programmed correctly. also, it keeps showing ads even when im not on the app. Ill be on homescreen - there's another ad! its from pdf reader, ive checked and confirmed.
pretty sure that this is the app that is causing all the popups on my phone! I can be in another app or simply browsing the internet and the popups come up. if this isn't the app doing it, I will change my review but for now this is the only thing I have downloaded recently when it started. Beware!
Please beware. I didnt read the past reviews about the pop up ads and had to experience it 1st hand. Ads will suddenly pop up even when app is closed. They come up while im browsing, calling, and they pop up as I was writing this review. It took me a while to figure out where they came from. This app is not worth it.
Displays random full-screen ads even if not being used. I believe it is a breach of Google ad policy. Is somebody from Google aware about this?! This app and developers should be BANNED!!!! Uninstalling immediately. Thanks God for list of running apps, otherwise I would not be able to discover this stupid PDF Reader is causing so much annonyance. Stay AWAY and flag it as inapropriate !!!!
I have a Samsung S10, installed App yesterday. I can be watching YouTube, on a call, texting some one and the App wounld launch it self. At first I thought I was accidentally touching the app icon and launching it. The App has open it self several times in a hour. I like the App. but it definitely has a BUG.. If fix; I would give it 5 Stars. Now I have no choice but to uninstall it or watch it open time and time again while I use my phone.
I will not comment on the PDF reading abilities of this app, they are irrelevant. The only thing you should know is this app makes full screen ads pop up inadvertently on your screen even while you are not using the app itself. This is unacceptably intrusive and very sleazy of the developers because they know full well it could take a while for someone to realize that their app is the one causing the ads to appear. I'm all for ads but they must be contained and not used in a dishonest way.
WARNING! DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP! I installed it some time ago and thought it was OK. But after a while random full-screen ads started popping-up, even though I didn't use the app. The ads block your whole screen and play sounds/music EVEN when your phone is in a silent mode!!! And even in the middle of a phone call! You can't even close them quickly, as they keep playing for like 15 seconds, stopping you from using your phone - you are actually forced to see the ad! Nightmare. AVOID!!!
