PDF Scanner from Photo Camera

Solid free scanning app. Easy to use, can export to pdf or image, and allows a variety of filters and cropping to get the best scans. Certainly helps to have good light and a good camera, but still does a decent job even if you don't. Sometimes struggles with light pencil writing, but that can usually be improved with the filter options. Ads are minimal and don't get in the way of the app function.

The best scanner I have ever used!! Very helpful! I think it is way better than camscanner. It lets me scan my documents pretty easily and can also convert them to editable text!! There are just the minimum amount of ads in it. The best thing I liked was that most of its services are completely free and true to its name, it makes my job pretty simple. Just stop thinking and download it.

When it works, it's a perfectly satisfactory scanner. I use it frequently for scanning homework files or application letters. A lot of the time though, scans will come out really poorly. Pages will be heavily skewed and large chunks of the original image will be chopped off. This forces you to rescan the image, where it's another dice roll about whether you'll get a legible scan. I just had to rescan a job application half a dozen times because it constantly gave me extremely skewed and cropped.

When I first open the app, it said I had to set up an account, from a pop-up box that I had to click "OK" and put in my credit card. It turns out this was an ad, not the simple scanner service, and it took my card information, said it was a free membership, and immediately charged it. Then, when I went to use the scanning app, the same window pops up and I realized it was an ad within the app and not a requirement of simple scanner. Very misleading, and borderline fraudulent

The best scanner app I used so far. Easy to use. Ads are annoying but it's free. You can take multiple scan and save it. You can send the entirety that was saved under the doc name or certain pages. You can find it in the order you saved the document. If you email it out, the doc name is automatically on the subject line. You can crop and write on what you scanned.

. Recently I noticed that I was not signed it my boxdrop and I had stuff on the app that need to be saved. I tried to log in to drop box and i would allow the app to be merged. It kept going back to the app saying "sign in" I tried to closed the app and nothing. I Uninstaller the app and lost all my files because of this bug! So upset with this, thanks Simple Scan! 🤬🤬 ***Still can't sign in!!!***

So far this seems like a great little app, unfortunately you have to pay a huge subscription to save directly to the major clouds like One Drive and Google Drive, but sending by email appears to be free. That's the only reason I've not given it 5 stars, and to be honest if it was a one-off payment I might be tempted, but it would have to be considerably cheaper...

This app saved me time and effort on contless occasions and helped me manage anything that had to do with official and semi-official documents that needed to be scanned. Has a multitude of settings to adjust the size and image quality. Compiles documents automatically.

AVOID!!!! This is definitely a feature-rich app but any scanned documents are stored on the developer's server rather than locally. That alone is an egregious breach of your personal, professional, and business privacy but it's made worse by the fact that you must purchase a subscription in order to download your own documents to your phone or other. This last makes the app completely worthless (unless you like having your docs held for ransom...).

This is the worst scanner app I have ever used it's horrorable. Impossible to go back and find a scanned doc then it will plays games with you when trying to find what you are looking for the ads will just keep popping up when you get close to what your looking for. I would give it a neg 5 star if possible.

Amazing! Was finally able to scan my ID. Has great features (for free!) that made my far away picture of the ID clear and readable when zoomed in. Just do batch mode for both sides, save as a pdf and voila! Easy, simple and excellent and it's job!

One of the most handy apps on the play store. For free let's you scan any documents from your phone and email them. I use this app to save estimates for clients while in the field. Just bought premium and couldn't be more happy. Even their customer support is top notch. I had an issue getting premium to transfer to my new phone. Got email response within 10 min. Overall don't hinder yourself by not having this app.

Awesome scanner I use it all the time. It allows me to scan in any pictures or documents, Convert them to PDF, sign, email, share, and upload. It's an on one app I love it. I use it in my business all the time for scanning receipts and personal documents of contracts and things of that matter.

They recently made their premium version where the only way I can save a PDF is to email it to myself instead of saving it to my phone. Really lame in my opinion. I've been using this app for all of my college assignments and it's really frustrating that this change has to come after having enjoyed the app for over three years.

Pretty handy. It helps to make sure there is a decent amount of contrast between your doc and the scanning surface so that everything is picked up correctly.

Best scanner app I've tried. Least frustrating and works well. Only pic to PDF scanner that's hassle free and that I like. I tried several of the top rated ones and they're all trash. Edit: it's become difficult to take clear pictures and the autocrop is mega annoying

I loved the free version, when it had less ads. And because i loved and used it so much i got the premium version. Even with most new phones having a scan feature built into the default camera app, this app is still amazing and super useful. Can recommend.

I used to use this app all the time to send documents to people, but now they are requiring a paid subscription to do anything. I can't even save the pdfs I scan anymore without having to pay $4 a month for it. If I wanted to pay for scanning documents, I would go to a printer shop.

Terrible application. If you want to email a scanned document you receive it to your e-mail after days. Once you subscribe to premium you have no option to cancel it and being charged again and again. Their service is quite awfull too.

Pretty good app, my old and lame Hp printer stopped scanning for some reason and this app saved the day for me, easy to use, intuitive and just THANK YOU to the developers for making the ads non intrusive and reasonable for the user. 100% recommended and will definetly buy full version if I ever need to scan documents more often.

I had a final and I forgot to download an app to scan the work. It literally saved me from getting a 0. The UI is clean and easy to use with no complexity at all. Just A grade IMO.

This app used to be great, but now there's no way to upload you scans without paying for a pro membership. So, the free version is pretty much useless and interrupts your scans with ads. Definitely planning on uninstalling this app and never using it again.

Use a different scanner app. This app used to work fine but now they made it so you have to pay for their premium version in order to save your scanned documents as pdf files. Seriously. Just get a different scanner app. There's dozens of them on the play store.

It's quite good app. It has dine exactly what I've needed. Just make sure that the lighting is alright before attempting to scan. Overall great for a simple use and if you need something scanned quick and on the go.

Perfect app! Very easy and user friendly with great features. I've been using it for almost two years with no bugs or problems. Pdf comes out very clear.

Brilliant, but too many adverts. If I get too fed up, I'll get another app. Need to go bit easy on ads. Way too many. Sometimes in the middle of scanning ads appear and it rings my picture and scanning.
