The Peak lights and controllers are totally unreliable. Lights turn on randomly, and in incorrect colors, no matter how many times u reset them. Due to inability to daisy chain, I needed three controllers when one should have sufficed. The controllers do not reliably stay connected to WiFi, or in synch to each other. Every time I open the app, the first thing I have to do is refresh the controllers, and insure the are all recognized. Otherwise, you only make the programming problem worse.
horrible. i have $1000 in product for these lights and out of the package they were ripping and falling apart with ease. i cant change the color or anything of all of them at once. everytime i try to connect it to my music the app crashes and resets. same thing with events. if there is an update i will change my review but if your seeing this before you get the lights go with a different brand. this is a horrible product and so far i am not impressed at all...
Purchased about $500 worth of these lights, a little buggy connecting to wifi but finally got it to connect, app definately needs works, can get lights to turn on automatically but cant get them to turn off automatically. Works well with my music. I find the LEDs is of a good quality co.pared.to other brands, if app could be updated to address some of its problems I would change my rating.
First you buy Peak Lights LED lights for several hundreds dollars and only than you'll find out that ONLY way to control those lights is to install App, that wants full control of your phone, your data, photographs (?), and can do "some" not identify changes. Secondly, if your controller in the garage, but your router (do not forget to provide the password for it!) at home (obviosly), your phone may not have a good connection to both. So, now you spend a lot of money, but can't control your LED!
I constantly have to refresh the wifi controllers. The app forgets at least 1 of them within minutes, so i can't turn the lights on, off or change settings until a refresh. Makes the timer useless as well. When the controllers are known by the app the light controls work well though
The worst experience I have ever had with a product and a company. I will keep it short. After endless attempts to connect and operate lights with app and tech support, I learned that the wifi controller had a defective chip. Company promised to send new model but never did. I have deck lights that I cannot use. Do NOT go near this company.
works ok.. has some problems connecting to wifi.. .have to restart app some times ....for the price of the lights I expected more from wifi controlled lights........is there going to be any updates for this app In. the future ?....i sure hope so. I like the lights...app needs some work.
Lighting app does not sync with Spotify or YouTube so you can't get your favourite music
Works the first time it was a little bit hard to understand butt after you play with it it got easy .
The lights seem to have a mind of there own. I have 2 starter sets and 1 extension set and sometimes I cannot shut all the sets down. Sometimes they don't shut off at night and sometimes they work fine. More often then not they come on by themselves during the day when they are not supposed too.
Ok app. Sometimes loses connection, not sure if it's the app or the light controller itself. Wish you could set a transition delay because when you have more than one controller in a group and are using the fade, jump, flash feature, each strip starts in colour sync then quickly goes out of sync. Every other light strip I have seen that can group together allows perfect syncing. This does not and is a major flaw IMO.
It keeps telling me me peak controller is not connected but it is and I cannot see it on my Wi-Fi list. Please help I was loving this lighting system
$300 worth of lights. Never got the controllor to work. Garbage. Avoid at all costs

This product is very wonky. Over the last year the lights come on at their own will, or not. System can be reset to make it behave for a short time, but then will go out to lunch as soon as your phone goes to sleep. I have to unplug the system to turn it off most of the time.
Bought the peak 1 2 and 3 in spring 2016. Want to use it on my new deck and deck canopy that i just finished building in sept.'17 Just plugged it in now in the house to check it out. App doesnt work. Cant connect to wifi controller. Reset it twice; unplugged whole unit twice. Still no connection. I've read most comments left by others and they are having simillar problems. Peaks' reply is that they are working on a fix...but its been months worth of complaints and months worth of promises from Peak that they are working on it. Still have not read any comments thanking Peak for a fix. Hundreds of dolllars spent on a product that doesnt work and/or a company that doesnt back up their product with timely updates and/or fixes. Tested this out before installing my lighting strips. I'm glad I did. I could connect with the controller, but I couldn't change the color or brightness of the lights. I could add it to my WiFi network, but then the app wouldn't connect with the controller over the network. Multiple resets, reboots and reinstalls, I managed to be able to make the lights change while directly connected, but still couldn't connect on the network, then couldn't change the color after resetting again. Not worth the frustration, I'm taking my lights back for a refund.
App works most of the time but sometimes wont connect. Timers don`t work at all. Would be nice to have them on a timer but they just dont work. Too bad.
The app works ok, all things considered, however I don't need or want another app to control my lights. It would be ideal if the lights could be discovered and controlled with Samsung Smartthings hub or at least support IFTTT to allow more automation through third parties. The hardware is great and works outdoors, but there's no need for you guys to force the use of your own software. Create open APIs or IFTTT support and this is a 5 star product.
This app crashes every time it is run! It cannot find available Peak controllers most of the time. It is fine when it does work.
Love the look and feel of the whole system. Biggest gap that I can see though is it doesn't appear that you can operate your lighting groups on more than 1 device at a time. Would like the ability for my wife and I both to be able to operate the lighting via the app on each of our devices. Hope this comes in a future update. If so then it gets 5 stars from me!

I did not experience any of the setup problems many users complain about. Connecting to the controller and then configuring the home Wi-Fi was straightforward. Minus one star for the extremely dated UI. There is no feedback from the buttons to indicate the status of the lights. This seems like a fairly important feature. Minus another star for the music feature that is advertised not working with any streaming music service. Playing non-DRM music on a phone is not something many users can use.
