Was a good app but from what I read they are shutting down December 30th 2021. Took a while to figure out how to withdraw my funds since the app would not open anymore on my phone. Ended up having to use an older android device with OS (8.1.0) to be able to access the app again.
Almost a month later. I have messaged the developer several times with no reply. App still won't open which I will lose all points. Was a good app. But something happened and now I can't get the app to open. I click on it and pops up then closes everytime. Have emailed developer and haven't heard back. If it opened still I would of gave it 4 or 5
I had issues trying to get the stupid app to open, then I come to the comments and I read that there were notification saying that they were going to shut the app down, butvI never got the notice. I don't even remember if I had any money to withdraw. Lame!
The function of acquiring satoshis passively is great. But the app itself is only partly functional. The map feature doesn't work, and although I'm notified of changes to the balance, it usually takes a few days for those to appear in the app. Also, it's CONSTANTLY triggering a needs location notification to my phone, which is particularly frustrating when I'm in airplane mode or have spotty service. No other app I have does this, and I suspect it's draining my battery quickly.
Great concept. Was working great then suddenly stopped working. Reached out to support and they say it's a problem with the provider they use to sync with the bank. It's been 4 months and no update it fix in the near future. Update: it's been 5 months now. No update from customer service and still not working with my bank. But hey getting emails from Tom now so there is that.
Updated the app and now it won't even open. Before it would crash when I went to the Bitcoin tab. I can't do anything until I turn on location due to constant pop-ups. I've contacted support because I'm unable to cash out to PayPal even after completing the requirements, but haven't received a response because "they're experiencing high volume". I can only withdrawal to Bitcoin, but definitely don't want to do that because I'm sure it'll take forever to cash it out for traditional money.
The cash back program is fine, but this app is horrible. I continually get notifications that the app has crashed. That shouldn't happen with good technology. I may not have even opened the app for two or three days and I still get notifications that the app crashed. I don't think I need any cash back this bad, so i may just uninstall and be done with it.
I like the idea if it but the app is extremely buggy. Once I linked my cards when I used them the transaction never showed up. I sent a fix-it to their support center and it was fixed but then I had ANOTHER issue and had to submit another ticket. Now when I try to use the app it comes up white. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops of fire and submit a "fix-it" ticket every other day to use an app. Deleting it. I'm done.
The app is somewhat buggy. It would be a great service if they gave you the option to add all your cards. Currently you can only add them through the plaid service which I can't personally stand since it's very limited to the accounts you can add. I have 8 various credit and debit cards and can only use one. Some of the other cashback apps at least let you manually add them if you can't find them in plaid.
Ive been trying to withdraw rewards for weeks now. Stuck in "payout review" status and my emails to support have gone unanswered. Also not a fan of having to activate offers before shopping. It used to be automatic and was awesome. App is also buggy, freezes and crashes a lot. Wasn't a huge problem when things were automatic but now that I have to open it to claim offers it's much more annoying.
In the past this app has been awesome. However, over time the app has really dropped in quality. It's hard to predict what will credit and what won't; be aware that every purchase is a crapshoot as to whether or not it will count. In addition the payout threshold was increased over 65% without notice or warning. Today I recieved a form email stating that customer support was closing all current support tickets without any resolution! Most likely they're about to exit scam. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Edit...my 5x loyalty bonuses are taking forever! Everything was fine the 1st few days. Everywhere I went it automatically picked up where I need to get cash back from. Now every time I open it, it disappears. I went to the app store and updated it and it worked the 1st 2 times I opened it. Now all of a sudden it's disappearing again and there is no update available. I don't understand what is going on but I have points pending and Am close to cashing out. I really hope this gets fixed soon
Edit: Changing to 0 stars as they have "upgraded" to no longer automatically provide you with cash back -- as it says in their marketing -- You now have to manually select the merchant before making a purchase, and then you have 24 hours to make said purchase. This is a change to the entire business model. Changing to 1 star as they are now requiring a crypto wallet to be set up. Regardless of the info required to set up this wallet, I do not want to set it up. According to their ToS, there is no mention of the requirement of a wallet.
It's a total scam. They give you so little cash back, and sometimes none. That'd be passable on its own though, it's beermoney not income, but then they keep bumping up the cash out threshold. It was $15, then $20, and now it's $25. They bump it up faster than anyone can reasonably spend. I also did a referral that was supposed to give me $15, but I never got it, in fact it disappeared and right after it disappeared the referral reward dropped to $5. They just didn't want to pay me the owed $15. UPDATE: Customer support did respond to my question, whether anything is actually fixed is up in the air.
Recent changes have made it much harder to earn. I was in the middle of a PayPal cashout (it was under review) when they rolled out these changes and my cashout was cancelled, points credited back to my account, and now PayPal is not an option. Like many others who have recently reviewed, I have no interest in setting up a Bitcoin wallet - and even if I did, the app freezes mid-attempt. Don't waste your time signing up - pretty sure I'll never see that $100.
Used to be great. But all customer support has disappeared. Raised cash out limit to $25 with no notification. Don't pay out for spend $20 get 200 points anymore. Been waiting on a request to resolve issues since Early December. Not really happy with this. If they could just respond in a timely manner everything would be great again. Please fix this. (Update) finally get a response over a year later and informed they can't see the 200 points transaction. This is incredibly ridiculous. 1 Star
Last 2 updates have caused the app to continually crash when you attempt to open. Not sure what is going on. I hope they can resolve this.
The app freezes and goes unresponsive sometimes. The list of merchants often show duplicates and is glitchy when scrolling. I used my linked cards at two merchants showcased on the "nearby" list, but then no transactions posted. When I tried the "missing transactions" option, those merchants don't show up as available. Now officially lost faith in this app. Great idea for an app, but this thing needs a PAGE 1 REWRITE!
My account was somehow deleted when I try to login it says the email isn't associated with an account, but when I try to make an account with that email it says there is already an account with that email. I've been trying to get this fixed since July 13th I had more than 7 or 800$ in Bitcoin in the wallet with bo way to send it to another address or cash it out
Try signing up for the first time. It asked for verification code but never came through with a text but the app automatically enter the code & wouldn't allow me to hit the next button. I asked to resend the code & did the same thing. So I gave up & never got to use this app. Useless of time and energy of downloading it. Maybe you guys can actually send me the code so I could enter it myself instead of automatically doing it and not let me hit the next button. App is deleted off my phone.
Wow, I was working steadily toward cashout, then suddenly the app doesn't respond. What gives? 1/12 UPDATE: Well, things aren't much better. I have several transactions that haven't been accounted for, which irritates me. Now, when I try to cash out, the app sends an email saying my phone was sent a verification code. Nope. Very disappointing. 2/8 UPDATE: I finally was able to cashout, but I still have many unaccounted transactions. Verrrrry slow.
The concept behind the app is good, and it's pretty passive in earning cash back, even if it is slow only seems to catch every other purchase. My issue is with the app itself, it constantly crashes and becomes unresponsive or just plain doesn't recognize my taps and touches.
I thought I would give this app another chance but it's still junk. I tried to create a new account, it accepts for a split second then kicks me out. I try to log back in and it says my email address is invalid. 9/2019 - I tried several times to get my account to link and it would always get an error message blaming connectivity issues. I tried reaching out to support and got no response. Uninstalled.
Worked ok at first. I've earned a little over $20 in rewards. Lately it has been telling me to reauthorize my credit card; repeatedly. When I try, it says it can't because of an error. So I decided to take my rewards and be done with it. But NO, the minimum to take a withdrawal is now $25. And today app opens with a white screen and locks up. So, I deleting this app. I hope my credit card info is safe.
I hate to say this because it seems to be a great idea...But I cant even get my information into the app before it immediately freezes! I would not generally be too concerned...But they dont seem to have much support to help people thru the freezes and bugs. I mean its frustrating and awful...if you have to charge a dollar a month or something...but its useless this way.
If a finance app has unreachable support, then it's a bad app no matter what good they may intend to do. I successfully cashed out once via PayPal and don't believe this app is deliberately scamming users through its practice ("automatic cash back"). However, after getting a new number, I found I was unable to change it in the settings and reached out to support twice over the past three weeks to have it changed. No dice. Consequently, I can't cash out my earnings (2FA by text ONLY, weird right?)
Update: New phone and it is working mostly. Paypal failed to connect successfully, but American Express seemed to connect.. Haven't tested out the rewards / buying yet. Why can't I use an already existing bitcoin wallet? Sort of lost on a couple points still. Plaid is terrible from a network security perspective. Ever hear of an api token? Original: It was completely unusable. Any button click froze the app. Update: still completely unusable. Froze my phone up at the choose wallet screen. First screen after logging in.
The change from automatic cash back to activated only offers is terrible. It goes against the whole reason this app was awesome - it was automatic! Even worse is that the activation is only 24 hours! As much as I love my cash back apps, I will never end up earning with Pei because they've made it much more difficult. I'd rather have less merchants and keep the automatic earning!
It was an amazing app! But the wallet feature is super limited AND it won't just let me withdraw everything at once, I have to withdraw tiny bits because their BTC:USD converter is crazy finnicky...so I have to make several withdrawals which eats away at my wealth with their transactions fees. So it seems like a scam. Also there are plenty of other apps you can earn 8% on BTC without subjecting yourself to this...like Nexo!
Was great at first, was earning cashback rewards. Then it went to have to select the retailer to activate the cashback. Once the purchase was made it never showed as pending but was an approved purchase. Now the app says it's discontinuing and I need to withdraw. When I go to withdraw the app crashes. This was once great, now it's worthless!
