WHY IS IT IMPORTANT FOR ENGINEERING LEADERS TO GET CONNECTED?
Because it’s the best way for engineering leaders to grow. Leading engineering teams is tough. It requires a lot more skills beyond technology. It also demands mindset shift and internal growth. Yet, we rarely have enough training and coaching to get ourselves ready before problems arise. Learning through try-and-error could work, but too expensive.
Fortunately, one engineering leader’s current problems are often others’ past ones. The solutions are already there. It’s the connection that is missing. By connecting engineering leaders, PEMhub helps to make those solutions accessible.
WHAT DOES “PEM” STAND FOR?
We believe it’s fundamentally important for every engineering leaders to have 3 types of connections:
- (P) Plus: leaders that are more experienced (speaker, mentor, coach, etc), to learn from their experience, and know the unknowns.
- (E) Equal: peers who are going through similar challenges, to get a frame of reference, see how they deal with your problems, and prepare yourself for their problems
- (M) Multiply: leaders that are less experienced, to pass on your knowledge and help them to grow. You will be surprised how much you will learn from them!
