Been using it for almost 2 years to write a fiction of my own. No complains. Still waiting for the bold, italic, underline feature, which I think is a crucial feature in writing application.
Incredibly useful for writing. An easy to use blank slate with great features (and no ads) which was exactly what I needed. Also aesthetically pleasing.
Been using it for writing poems and other work, and absolutely love it despite the lack of certain features - very neat design which makes you focus on your writing. looking forward to its updates
Love the new feature of syncing stories!! Can effortlessly switch devices without having to copy and paste everything. Definitely recommend!!!!
It was nice and simple to use. There's no ads to that's why i super like it, there's no disturbance while i type. I just wished that it has more editing tools like italized, bold, underline and so fort
so, i downloaded this like just now and please, i love it already! even though i'm just using the free version, it's all worth it! well, just got to stick with this because i don't have the money to buy the premium (i'm just a 11, lol.) and i don't wanna ask money to my parents, haha. but soon! hehe, this is really the best app i have ever used!
It's an amazing app. However, there are some small suggestions I want to happen. I'd be glad to have the text format features, it will be very useful for us users. 🙂 Overall, it's a very great app.
I've been a lifetime member for a long time. I really do like using the app. There's only one thing I'm using the app for and I try my best to write daily. My only complaint is the lack of an indent option for starting a new paragraph through the android keyboard. If I attach a Bluetooth keyboard, I can easily just use the tab, but for me the function should be there at the push of a button. Without the need of a peripheral.
Gorgeous app! Takes a bit to get used to, but oh the layout and design and idea,... makes me feel like Jane Austen, quiet room, drinking tea, looking out a single-pane window to an autumn afternoon evertime I opened it up to journal about my life. I had to buy the whole thing, couldn't help it. Perfect for journaling, as it divides your notes into books or chapters and volumes. Perfect for romanticizing your life ♡
This app has everything I was looking for, and I searched and tried so many others. This one is my perfect fit. I would love to see more features in the future, like a search by word option, link functionality in articles and to others, the option to increase only a line of text size, and to only change the alignment of one area, a cover image option for the stories, checkboxes, highlight, italics, bold, etc. Excited to see the app grow!
Most minimal yet aesthetically-pleasing writing app I've found for personal journalling. It uses some gestures to navigate but it's a worthy sacrifice to keep as many buttons off of the UI. I hope future updates of this app keep its minimal aesthetic. The "add time" button on the text editing menu was a delight to discover.
I used to love this app until my phone broke and now I cannot restore my notes on my new phone. I'm devastated and very angry.
I've been using the premium version of this app for the past few months and one thing I like about it is the minimalistic style it has, but at the same time, still includes a number of useful features I need; however, I think it would be nice if they also make the app available on desktop. Furthermore, as the others already said, they also need to add bold, italic, and underline features. Nonetheless, it's really worth every penny!
It takes up quite some space for a note app. Nevertheless, I still love it as it has a minimalistic design which is so lovely. By the way, does it have back up? Like Google Drive etc. I would like to save it because if not, I'll have to transfer it to a notebook manually which is going to be really exhausting. Oh, and can you make us watch let's say 3 ads in order to add one extra book? It'll help a lot for those who can't pay. Thanks for the app though!
Clean and minimalistic approach. It helps me to think clearly about what to write. It also has no ads! The colours are very simple (mostly black and white), which is SOOO much better than the other apps which have loud, obnoxious colours. 10/10 would recommend. Also, if you want to download this, it is better to go for Premium, as it unlocks new features like Night Mode and different fonts.
I like the simple concept. Like the one button brackets and double quotes. Don't need all the fancy formatting bells and whistles. If you add all of that stuff you end up with just another text editor. But without being able to search through what I've written, well... When they get its search functionality working I'll give it another shot. Right now I would call it a good idea that is incomplete. The good idea about it is keep it simple.
Up to last update it was going well, a nice (though unintuitive) UI, and easy back up to Dropbox. I could open notes from Dropbox on my laptop and transfer to a word processor when necessary. Now though, Dropbox support seems to have disappeared. Instead we have Google Drive sync, which is unusable for me. I've set it up, it tells me it's synced, but there's no trace of a file on my Google Drive, so I can no longer open notes on my laptop.
I loved this app! It is aesthetically minimal, easy to use, and most of all, simple. The pull to add an article is really convenient as well as the swipe to switch articles or stories. However, i find it a bit hard since i can't format my text. It would be really appreciated if you guys could add some text formatting options too. But over all it was great!
I initially switched to this app because the writing app I was using before suddenly switched to a subscription-based premium model. I didn't expect to like this app more than that one, or any of the other writing apps I've tried so far. It's beautifully minimalistic and easy to get the hang of. Being able to sort stories into folders and sync data are my favorite features. The optional premium upgrade is a one-time purchase at a reasonable cost. I couldn't recommend this app more for writers.
Would have been a great app. I paid for premium but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Multiple times when I'm doing some edits on the things I've already written down, when I erase even just a single letter or symbol, everything else disappears without any option of undoing it. I need to start all over again and it's annoying when I've already written a long text. 😰
I'm the first of my writing pals to try this app, and I like it so far! I especially love its simplicity, the different options to lock the app, the dark theme, and the backup/sync option. There are just a few functions I miss: - Undo/Redo Button (for when you accidentally delete something, that's a quick fix) - Sorting Articles by the date they were last edited (not just by the date they were created) - Option to change the line spacing - A scroll bar for easier navigation in long articles.
UPDATE: Dropping to four stars. The spellcheck feature has too many issues. A option to turn it off is needed. The add a word function is too clunky and unreliable, and I don't want to keep adding every plural/possesive form. Love this app. However, the spellcheck option leaves a lot to be desired. There are many words it does not know, it marks strings of numbers as mispelled, it takes several tries to add a word to the dictionary, and doesn't recognize 's, -ed, etc. for many words.
Great app. Overall feel and friendly user interface is truly amazing that it drove me to get the premium version. Although, I'd like to see more customization options for the actual text/body such as bold, italic, underline, colored text, highlights, etc. Even without those things at the moment, still would recommend this app for people that love writing or want a good notes/journal app.
What's great is that the free version doesn't have ads from what I remember. I love the minimalist style. Everything looks clean. Really easy to add a new article. Biggest feature I want is an 'indent' button rather than having to rely on tab with a keyboard. The lack of fonts is fine, I just wish you could import them. Language availability is lackluster, but it looks like a few complete translations have been made so I don't know why they haven't been put into the drop down menu.
I've been searching everywhere for a good app to write my stories in, and frankly– this is the one! The design is minimalistic and distraction-free, the tutorials are helpful and quick, and I can save so much time. The fonts and other features like the word count are also nice and help me stay focused. I bought Premium because I want to support the creators and I'm very interested in what they have to offer in the future. Thank you for the wonderful app!
I love it. Its so simple and easy to use, but I wish we could write in italic, bold, other combination like italic bold, scratch or maybe even listing etc (basically more formatting features). But I just went to the FAQs and read about that it might be a tad difficult to add those features, at least at the moment anyways. I do hope it will eventually added though, but overall I enjoy using this app! Been searching for an app that'll allow me to insert pics but still simple and finally found it.
This is absolutely stunning and well programmed app. I love that you can have many notebooks with different names and the look of it The only downside is that the free font doesn't allow more specific letters (ž or ř in my case). I meant to use it for a diary written in my mother language but I can't because it switches to a different (default?) Font and it looks really ugly, which given how beautiful the app itself is in a big drawback.
I'm a big fan of this app. I didn't even hesitate to go premium. Love the UI, it's almost perfect for writing but lacks some basic features, such as bold, italic, and underline. Update: Still waiting for those features to come out. C'mon guys, those are basic stuff and we really need it.
