Pendulum Studio

Simulate the motion of nine different pendulum systems in real time on your phone. Use the simulation as a live wallpaper.
Included systems:1) Mathematical pendulum (2D): the simplest pendulum.2) Pendulum wave effect (3D): when multiple pendulums are combined a peculiar wave effect appears.3) Spherical pendulum (3D): a three-dimensional generalization of the mathematical pendulum.4) Spring pendulum (2D): a mass connected to a spring.5) Spring pendulum (3D): a mass connected to a spring in 3D.6) Double pendulum (2D): the simplest example of a system which exhibits chaotic motion and is highly sensitive to the initial conditions.7) Double spherical pendulum (3D): a three-dimensional generalization of the double pendulum.8) Spring mathematical pendulum (2D): a rod attached to a spring.9) Spring spherical pendulum (3D): a rod attached to a spring in 3D.

Features:
- All simulations are performed in real time by numerically solving the Lagrange equations of motion.
- Use the accelerometer of your device for dynamical determination of the gravity force.
- Take into the account the friction force to see the damping of the pendulum motion (recommended when using sensor gravity).
- Use your fingers to interactively change the positions of the pendulums.
- Use pinch to zoom gesture.
- All of the parameters for each system can be modified in the preferences.

The app itself is good but I wanted it for the live wallpaper, but it doesn't seem to work right. I can't use touch or gravity interaction! I tried what the developers said in response but it still doesn't work..

Amazingly optimized. Could you provide a better design for the 3D models? Like create an actual 3D view, maybe add XYZ axis to better visualise? I would gladly pay for an app like this. Also, can I add more pendulum joints?

This is great, my only little complaint is the 100 pendulum limit. It sounds dumb but I want to see more of them. Still absolutely 5 stars though

This app is well done. Extremely accurate. Edit parameters like g, m, k, t (gravity, mass, spring constant, time)

An accurate and entertaining app that simulates the physics of coupled systems very well 😉

i highly recomend this neet amd cool screen saver i look forward to meetig tje developer. 2 chat about tje possinilities true real time expieriecr. Also this sweet application . I notesced acts like a private bodu-guard against sybet theft.

This is an INDISPENSABLE app for all students of physics, mechanics and oscillation. It is basically a laboratory where you can SEE what happens to pendulum systems when you vary the parameters. For example, you can change the initial conditions and actually observe how this effects the motion, or you can simulate the pendulum system of a problem you are working on. The app has a beautiful, user-friendly interface. Thank you very much Voladd for making this app available for free and without any ads. Best wishes for continued success.

Very good simulator. Would be nice to have the phase space plotted as well. Btw, if you set the initial angle to 180 degrees (and thetadot=0) it should stay in the unstable equilibrium, but after a few seconds it starts to drop. This is due to numerical errors accumulation (same thing happens in my simulator written in python for Linux).

Very nice app. I would have given full credit but often it crashes. My rating4.8

I enjoy using this app. I'm not a physics major but I do enjoy experimenting and watching the pendulums.

Behind every genius their is a perpouse Congratulations. State of the art. Real useful 20th. Century stuff. My android Samsung J7 told me it's this or good one.

No excessive permissions or user data mining. 👍good app. Crashes though, with mildly excessive values.

Brilliant App! It's exactly what i was looking for. The simulation is very relatable to the real world. It would be good if we could improve the 3D view for a good visualisation.

It's a great tool and all but it has the inability to rotate which is a big problem to me please fix this

Yuv. S. Oct 20, 2017

It's a good one but I am facing problems while starting the double pendulums, as soon as I start it, the app stops working and it also hangs my phone, and this is not only for this, after 2D double pendulums eat each and every selection I am facing problems. Pls do the needfull. Thank you.

Absolutely love the app but freezes when parameters are set high or too mant are changed from their default setting. Please fix it.
