I've had to uninstall and then reinstall this app three times in six months because it just would not open for me to log in. Otherwise, it behaves as is expected. Hope the app maker fixes this issue. Today is 2/14/2022. PenFed has demonstrated it is not equipped to fix this issue. I hate to say this, but this app's performance is infuriating. I login and the screen doesn't change! In eight months I have uninstalled and reinstalled this app at least 15 times. Very poor performance.

Is just about as easy to use as working with the bank is. App is always down for "maintenance" almost never works right. Difficult to navigate. Plus the bank itself is absolute rubbish to work with. Ridiculously long transaction times plus out of the blue fees. Once my buissness through them is concluded, i am closing my account and deleting this app before I even get to my car in the parking lot.

If the app lets you login making a deposit is nearly impossible. The app has never failed to disappoint. Multiple takes and retakes of the front and back of the check is ALWAYS necessary due to failure of the app to read a clear, in focus 12 Megapixal photo. Very frustrating and to have to rely on the MAIL! in 2022 is just unacceptable. Do better PFCU !

Crashes a lot, especially when trying to access HELOCs. Mortgage/HELOCs are not accessible for transferring and online banking transactions other than making payments. Inter bank transfers are incredibly slow (5 days when other bank clears it at day 2). Had transfer hit on 5th day while payment was due and charged me overdraft even though the payment was in the account. Customer support is almost nonexistent through email or contact us features and phone support takes hours to get through.

Uninstall / Reinstall weekly for the last month or better. Not sure what's going on but the app used to work without fail now at least once every 3-4 days I have to uninstall. It will go thru the entire fingerprint process and then nothing. When it works it's great! Fix it! Pixel 6 Pro

No complaints at all!!! Transfers are quick.. Customer service is always on point!! Helpful, Responsive, Understanding... That's what everyone looks for when they are looking for a bank. App is easy to navigate and very simple to use.. I don't understand what the fuss is all about, as long as you keep the app updated then you will be good! Keep up the great work PenFed 😎

Every time I try to make a payment, I have issues. I can't ever get the payment date to work. It pulls up the calendar to select date but no ok button after date selected then you have to hit in random blank space and sometimes that will work and the date you selected will be there and most of the time it won't. I have called customer service, and they were no help. I would like to make a payment before the payment due date, and I don't want to have to call in to a automated service to do it

Downloading and installing the app was a breeze. Linking External accounts is a problem. Penfed will not recognize the external bank; let's you go through all the steps flawlessly, but will not link the two accounts. Please fix this.

It's slower than other financial apps I use, when trying to go back to a prior screen, it takes you all the way back to the accounts list view, and the auto payment feature defaults the date to the statement date which is 3 days after the payment due date, and no way to manually alter that date.

PenFed app is convenient and easy to use. No complaints. We can get email alerts, but I would like to see one more feature in the form of text alerts that are sent instantly when set amounts are drafted from accounts.

The app is much better than it used to be, but the fact that it mostly just acts as a portal to the website is stupid. I clicked on the current rates and offers and it didn't show any rates, just ads. Then when i clicked to view certificates it just opened up the web browser. Why bother having an app at all then?

Great experience; I was approved for the Gold & Platinum cards. It's easier to make payments when using the app. I use my savings acct for credit card pymts. Balance transfers can't be done from the app. Thanks

Blank screens and inoperable functions. The contact us screen doesn't do anything. The messages button doesn't open "important message from Penfed". It just shows you the date and account number for the message.

Unable to login with the mobile app since the update. All information is corrector username and password. Please have the developer fix issue. Currently on S21 ULTRA 5G. Able to login through my computer but not through the phones app. Tried Uninstalling and reinstalling ,also clearing cache and memory for the app. Still no luck

There is a bug that happens often preventing log in. To correct the issue i have removed the app and installed it again. This is only good for a single log in attempt. Beyond this hinderance the app works fine but completely useless if not fixed.

Can't see where pending payment to CC from. 😠 PAYMENT SCREEN POORLY DESIGNED!!! REMAINING STMT BAL vs STMT BALANCE AT STMT CLOSE vs CURRENT BALANCE. Developer doesn't understand basic functionality offered by other banks/CU. Account updates are behind. Where is link outside account for $ transfers. CONTACT US from App doesn't work. Developer never responds & using contact developer never gets to actual development team. Looking for new CU.

I like the bank but it has never been a modern company, the app is no different. Very clunky. Poor UI. Mobile app not optimized for mobile etc...etc... You're better off using internet browser on your laptop/PC.

Not a bad little app, it does have its bugs, and can be clumsy to rectify your accounts as your debts tend to stay up ( pending) for 4 days minimum so thats pretty inconvenient, but all in all handy.

Can't do a lot of things from their app. And I made a scheduled payment the other day, which now seems to have disappeared. Good thing I screenshot the confirmation page. I have been so disappointed with the whole company/experience with them and wish I hadn't even opened an account with them. If I could go back, I wouldn't do it again.

The app wanted me to type in my age. A simple 00/00/0000 format, right? Oh no. You have to enter their portal, which displays the current date, then you have to click back ONE MONTH AT A TIME! I'm 70. That means I had to click the back button 800 times to put my birthdate in the window. That is the ONLY WAY the questionnaire will let you proceed. HOW STUPID IS THAT?

Pen Fed app makes it almost impossible to make additional payments above minimum payment. I'm very frustrated! I have had to call them to make additional payments. It shouldn't be this difficult @!!

Until yesterday, the Penfed app was very dependable and always available when it was required. Yesterday, it did not function and I deleted the App 3 times and reloaded 3 times but it still did not function. Today, it started working only after Penfed had announced it was not available due to system maintenance. Oh, so that was the problem yesterday and no warning from Penfed.

This app fails frequently. Limited functionality __ should have as much as or more capability than the classic website. You can do better. Now, 4 years later, the app is still unreliable with limited features.

To many situations that you have to understand from the maker of the application to even know what your looking for. They really need customer input to help improve for the common human folks to make the app work. To many delays or staff does not have the right information when a certain feature will be available to all customers. On "scheduled payments" tab it won't show you a payment you scheduled weeks in advance so if you make another payment you will make a double payment and overdraft your account. The process to get your money back is long and annoying and the customer service representative I spoke to had an attitude about it like it was my fault the app didn't show me I had a scheduled payment even though I did.

Becareful doing anything here. seems they like to be retributive. Doing anything you will go through an enormous amount of people and their automated system. cannot speak to anyone directly. was asked on one application didnt like "lack of Mortgage activity' was approved for $10000 card but denied raing 1500 on other. asked if could show incorrectness on credit bureau. did then dont accept. Expect confusion because will ask for that one thing then another for another contradictory. Closed cards
