Update 05/31. I'll miss penny :'( From five stars to three because I am extremely disppaointed and sad that It will be shut down by crxxx karxx. It's a very intrusive decision to incorporate the app into their own service. I wish the app developers well and hope they get credits for the functionality and concept of penny.

I love Penny! Best used for those who need an insight on GENERAL spending. You have minimal control about what/how she looks at your accounts, without specific customization on catagories. I have 3 accounts, I'd like to be able to see which account spent what, when I see an overview. Subcatagory labeling with control would be the perfect feature. Maybe Penny+ has it. I haven't looked into it yet. I need the business minded Ms. Penny...hint, hint, happy to beta test 😉

Love Penny! I think it's such a unique concept. I've always had trouble with my spending, but it certainly hit hard once I started seeing the amounts via Penny's analyses. Also, I pay for the premium version, and I think it's definitely worth it. I get instant notifications whenever I spend any amount of money. Someone actually fraudulently used my card this past weekend,and because of the instant notificatios., I caught it immediately. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love this app! I even pay for the subscription. I always pay close attention to my finances, but this app keeps it all in one place and breaks everything down for you. It's great and makes finances much less overwhelming! One thing that I really wish, however, is that they would add a "medical" category for prescriptions, doctor visits, OTC purchases, etc. I have quite a few medical expenses each month and having a specific category for that would be extremely useful. Regardless, I highly recommend this app!!

This app has potential. It is good in concept. However, it doesn't cover every type of card. This is a huge flaw that renders the app useless. For example, the app can tell you how much you spent on fast food last month. Only, if you use your Barclay card on a few trips to Subway, your numbers will be wrong, because it doesn't work with that card. So every number and statistic this app gives me is wrong. Any advice it gives me based on my income or spending is also wrong since it is based on only partial data. I had tried the app, thought I would love it, and upgraded to premium, only to find out it doesn't work. Great concept, failed execution.

Edit: so long and thanks for all the fish A spending tracker that I actually use! I've started too many of the competetors and always either had problems or found them easy to ignore, not so with penny. Definately the honey vs vinegar approach! I love the random analytics and tips it offers. I am a penny+ member and very pleased to be. I would like to see multiple plus membership payment plans (annual vs monthly) and perhaps some disount offers. And a more complete faq, or a master list of "something else" entries as that is a feature id like to utilize. Oh and a way to mark a conversation for saving for later would be amazing! I manage the finances for my household and would love to be able to pull up a prior spontaneous penny conversation to show my wife.

Penny is my new best friend. I've tried a lot of budgeting apps, and Penny really helps me see the big picture along with helping me manage the small details. Penny is also really fun to work with.

Excellent app to see where your money is going across accounts. It helps to find where the excess spending is in your budget and how you can save more.

I love the language she uses, like talking to a person you know. She tells me things I didn't know I should be noticing and has really helped me be more aware of where my money is going. I love all the knowledge.

Best financial app I have ever used. I love the casual way things are discussed and it keeps the grouping small. I will be with Penny until they take her from me!

For a single young man like me this app is been one of the best i have found for manage my financial situation. I can't wait to see more update. May be lower the subscription

Its great. Penny has been helping me point out my spending issues and get me started on a good savings plan.

At first this app was awesome and still is but for some odd reason my bank is now not supported. Im a little lost because the first time I got this app the bank was there, did it get removed? Maybe some sort of glitch? Otherwise it'd be a 5 star!

Penny chats with you to review ways you can save money and cut spending. Overall she can help make you a more responsible spender.

Sounded great. I wanted to use it but couldn't get past the opening create account/log in screen. Tech support didn't respond to my email (I'm writing this review over a week later).

I REALLY loved Penny and now that they are going to be getting rid of the app. I'm changing my review. I am not impressed with this new change!!!! She really helped me with my spending and I loved being able to set a goal. She helped me to continue to spend less and it felt amazing! Now what am I going to do?!? This is horrible!!!
