This app leaves a lot to be desired. I logged in using my username and password, then enabled the finger print and it does not work. I've deleted and reinstalled the app twice and the finger print function still won't work. Super Frustrating! *UPDATE* I am running the latest version, I've cleared my cache and still when I go to login, I am unable to use the fingerprint option. There's obviously an issue with your latest upgrade. Please fix ASAP!

I had zero issues with this app until their big update a couple of months ago. Any time I try to sign on using my fingerprint, the app crashes. When using my password and selecting "remember my device", it constantly has to send me a verification code. What was the point of this update? There was nothing wrong with the previous version and it was much better. Now, it's just very frustrating. Edit: I tried clearing the cache and it made no difference

The app is only optimized for a phone. It doesn't render or auto adjust the size of the screen when used on an iPad. Also the fingerprint option consistently goes away on both my phone and on the iPad. It doesn't seem to like the fact that I have these two devices remembered in the settings menu. Please correct this because it's frustrating that I have to be consistently checked my email for the super secret code and then enter it. Thanks.

This app is a headache to use. Auto-pay feature is a complete nightmare: I feel constantly unsure about whether my last payment has gone through and when my next payment will be taken out because when i make changes, they aren't reflected in the "Pending payments" section... sometimes until weeks after the fact! This caused me to double pay one month, and getting the second payment refunded was lengthy and painful. Also bad UI throughout (lots of jargon and unintuitive user flows).

This app use to be so easy to make your mortgage payment. Now the biometrics don't work or my username and password doesn't work. Tried the app and the direct site and neither work. Just changed my password last payment and again it didn't work. Looks like the only bill I'll have to pay by mailing a check. I Uninstalled the app and reinstalled.....no change. Pretty bad for a large mortgage company.

It was working great, until the last update, since it wouldn't even let me log in! So I tried going to register new account and from there already have an account and I was finally able to log in! A few extra steps but I was able to log in. I like that now it has the option to make extra payments to principal/escrow in app, instead of having to go to the website!

Absolute garbage! It worked just fine until the latest overhaul but now I can barely get it to work for anything. I enable fingerprint login and when I try using it, it just crashes the app. Already cleared app cache and reinstalled but its a worthless app! Whoever designed this app should have the words "Do not develop my app" tattoo'd on their foreheads...

This app is HORRIBLE from a HORRIBLE company. Finally got it to my remember my fingerprint, after it kept crashing & making me relogin with an emailed code 5 times in a row every time I would try to go to certain pages... like "Contact Us"- crashes. "Taxes and Insurance" to see about removing PMI... crashes. How convenient that their app crashes on anything that could cause them to lose money or that would inconvenience them. I've reported them to CFPB before, maybe I need to do it again...

It took a bit of time to get used to it. I inadvertently scheduled two payments because it was not clear that my first one was scheduled. I did cancel the second one. I wish they would allow biometric login. All my other banks and mortgage companies allow me to access their apps in that manner.

POST UPDATE 1.4.115088 REVIEW The app continues to hide your option to pay by debit card. The app states that you can make a payment directly from checking, savings, or debit card. Your options are only checking and savings and in red literature the app prompts you to add your bank account info and schedule a payment. This app is not intended to be user friendly nor is the automated system. They app and the automated do not work and are designed to make you late on your payments.

When the app loads it allows me to click sign in and then it loads a failure page. No updates, no link on the page to report the problem. Please fix. When the app works I like it. When I can't even log in it becomes extremely frustrating.

I wouldn't give it any starts if I had the choice....we have been with Penny mac for almost 7 years and I've only been able to log in or reset password cus I forget after so long of not being able to use it!!!! Never let's me reset password....always an error!!!!!!!!!! I go to work to early to call cus they arent open yet to get any help!!! By the time I get off I forget to call or you are on hold forever...this app needs to be fixed in all aspects...website does the same thing

Whatever changes were made a couple months ago rendered the app completely unusable. Biometrics don't work, app constantly crashes, and if you can manage to make it to the payment screen, the submit button is inaccessible. Please fix it!!!!!

New to this mortgage servicer, and appalled at how bad the app is. Crashes 50% of the time upon sign in, fingerprint sign in does not work at all, buggy, several menus don't load, awful accessibility where many messages extend off screen so you can't fully read them, and most menu options are actually links to the website making me wonder what purpose the app even has.

This app is the WORST!!!!!! Creating an account in the app is painful process that I have yet been able to complete. Thw terms and conditions page does not work properly, the scroll feature the button or the bar on the right side. I called customer service for help and guess what they cannot help at all but they know their app is a problem and said to try back in a day or 2! I am at a loss how a company can function this way. It is 2022 not 1922!

The experience generally up until the last few months was not bad. Now the app is completely broken, website completely broken, and if you attempt to call in they tell you over and over about their automated payment system but never even give you the option. I can't even log in to the app anymore because either circles back to the screen asking me to sign in. It's becoming increasingly frustrating to even attempt to pay my mortgage.

This is by far one of the most useless apps on my phone. It doesn't load hardly any of the menu on the left plus once you select you have to close the menu to see the right side where it should load but most options just load up empty white space. A useless app.

Worst app ever. I'm seriously considering changing my mortgage company just because it is so difficult to make a mortgage payment every month! Forget calling in trying to make a payment, and expect to fight with this app for atleast 30 mins before you can actually make a payment. It makes you verify your log in every single time you log in, it never remembers your device, and then when you do finally get logged in the entire app freezes and the whole process starts over. Do better Penny Mac.

The older version was more efficient, this new version keeps crashing and it's annoying. Even after signing in and enabling fingerprint unlock still doesn't work. It sucks! No stars for this updated version.

Doesn't take me to login screen, just a white blank screen. I just reinstalled the app, so updates aren't the issue. The website is also a piece of work. It won't even let me access the pdfs of my statements. So frustrating that I can't access my own documents.

Absolutely awful to use. Such a pain. Doesn't work half the time either. Not user-friendly at all! Update 14 March 2022: Just updated the app again. Still terrible! I have to choose "Forgot password" each time I log in. These people must not want my money because if they did, they'd make an app I can use! I know why the guy on the app looks so happy; he's probably hitting the "uninstall" button.

The update is a "down" grade. They basically just took away the perks to meet " ALL"needs and made it a "ONE" fits all app. (for no good reason). The old app was better. Regardless of how many times they suggest you just continue to update the app. It doesn't resolve the issue (you took options to pay away and made it a longer process to process your payments, and see your payments).Its the features you took away that mattered. Refreshing and updating the app every week will not fix this issue.

As others have mentioned, the latest round of updates ruined this app. When I try to login with biometrics, the app simply closes. I have to completely clear my cache/data in order to login successfully. Clearly your updates were a problem, maybe it's time to roll them back?

This app is so troubled. Among other things the most annoying right now is biometric log in. I go into settings approve biometric, log out and close app. Then try to log in and it won't use biometric. Also after I make a payment 5 days early. I close app and then get push notification for payment reminder. I really wish pennymac would stop bugging me to "take advantage of refi deals" and fix the app so that they don't make existing customers annoyed.

App Sucks!!! Half the time I can't log in. When I do log in you can't read anything the words are missing so idk where to click to make a payment. Sometimes when I log it kicks me out and I still can't do anything. I go to the website and it won't let me log in there either FIX YOUR PROBLEMS. Im Always having to call to make a payment. It would be nice not to listen to an automated voice to make a payment.

Wow...this update was supposed to FIX existing issues...BUT, I am using a Samsung Note 20G Ultra and the login screen does NOT appear neither does the register screen. All I see is a blank white page with a blue line across the top with an X. I guess this was a FIX?? 😳😳😳

Well my account got locked trying to create it....by entering the information they sent me in email...about an hour wait time to get someone on the phone, their automated system couldn't help me, and no email address I can find to try and get a hold of someone to address my issue. The app is garbage and it seems the company isn't much better. Really wishing my loan didn't get sold to them.

Your app and website are stupid. I have had trouble "registering" my loan to my account with both the website and the app. Which is already registered. When I enter the relevant information on the registration page, it doesn't register the registration properly and won't let me continue into my account. I spent an hour on the phone with one of your reps last month, who didn't really help solve my problem. I wish our mortgage had never been sold to your company. It's a waste of my time.
