Would give negative infinity. device is connected and the link light is a solid green. The app just can't see the equipment. Their phone support has enormous wait time and glitches. Have beenn trying to connect with their support and first wait after 2 hours got the, then the agent put me on hold for transfer me to next level and that holds for 3+ hours and eventually dropped. Another time after 2 hours with the callback I got no answer from the other side. Super frustrating. Call dropped today!
I just had my electrician install the 618031 Color Sync Controller. It controls one Pentair MicroBrite Light. The controller works well in manual mode. The Pentair App does not work. WIFI signal is strong. I downloaded the app, registered, then tried to add this device and the app will not pair with the controller. I pressed the control button in for 10 seconds and the blue light will flash slowly. The app looks like it is trying to pair but the device does not show up on the screen. Very frustrating. I have called several times for support, request a call back, and nothing. Worthless customer support. Please help me. Thank you.
Absolutely terrible. Will rarely stay connected and will just randomly time out. It is frustrating during the summer but a huge liability during the winter. It has timed out before during freezing temps which caused my freeze guard to not turn on. Its amazing that a company that sells such expensive products offers such terrible software. I'd give it negative stars if I could.
I use the app to control my pool via Intelliconnect. Since the last update it reports the Intelliconnect goes offline momentarily every 15 minutes. Contacting support thru the app gets no response. This is just the latest in a series of issues since new. Update: After about 3 weeks the issue was resolved promptly by the local Pentair tech. If only it was assigned to him at first. Changed from 1 to 3 stars.
So far so good! I see alot if people have connectivity issues here, my builder put in a 2.4 ghz extender on a wall inside from the pump and said it works much more stable on 2.4 rather than 5g. I haven't had an issue yet since Dec of 21. Heater, VCF, lights and intellichlor work fine. I would love to see more options for the led lighting though, the light shows are very limited and even solid colors, the lights can make so many more colors than what's on the app. Hope a future update adds it
Works well since voicing my concerns to the support staff. I think it should have a few more features for the LED light show and a QUICK CLEAN option should be added to the pump settings. 4 Stars because there is room for improvement. Overall a solid app for monitorng a 30x15, heated, UV pool, in zone 9B.
First time pool owner. Spent a lot of money building our pool in 2020. Not being able to control my pool for nearly 2 years has absolutely ruined our pool experience. Won't stay connected, we have no control over our lights - my kids were swimming in the dark. Now I got the white light to work, except it's not white - casting a rainbow color. When I select the party lights, or solid color (rend, green, blue, etc) - none of them will turn on. App is NOT user friendly and incredibly frustrating!!
Super frustrating After connecting my Intelliflo vsf pump to the intelliconnect control my pump will turn off every 10 minutes when I start it manually and if I use the app the pump still stops every 10 minutes but only for a few seconds and then it re-starts it keeps doing this every 10 minutes this can't be good for the pump. ***update **4/19/22 This app needs a serious update asap, is getting worst. I did communicate with pentair for several days but at the end they didn't do anything .
*UPDATE* Thanks for the quick response Pentair!! The app is convenient, but now the component windows show controls, but when you go to press something or try to make a change from the home screen, it opens the component screen and THEN you can change the settings.
The app continues to malfunction. I had no light selections after the last update. Then the app did not work at all. Pentair tech was called out. Got it back up, but the lights are not working AGAIN. Same issue. No color selection. How many times do I have to delete device and re-add it?? Now my pump schedule is not working. I have it scheduled to cut off at 5pm. I have to turn it off manually. NOT impressed with this automation at all.
Initial use of this to control my pool pump was very frustrating, it rarely worked. Eventually I reached out to technical support and they were able to completely resolve my issue and now the app and the pool pump works flawlessly all the time. Couldn't be happier with the functionality of the product now. The only reason I'm giving four stars is because of how long I had to deal with the issues previously, and some of the UX could use improvement.
The email verification link does not work. I have Uninstaller the app, had the email redrnt multiple times and the link still does not work. Very frustrating.
Absolutely does not work. Pool bot has been a complete waste of money. Support is non-existent. DO NOT BUY!!! After this post they asked me to contact support, try checking your support queue and find the opened, acknowledged and promptly ignored support request you have had for over 30 days.
Non-responsive to heater, was working fine before last update. Someone came out to flash/image the heater, now it doesn't work at all. Have tried to re-install heater in app many times, no joy. Have to use heater manually now. Edit: After some work and troubleshooting (changing modes off and on, toggling pool/spa, heat/cool/auto etc) Still couldn't get the unit to turn off an on, yet it would communicate temperature just fine. I finally killed the power to the breaker and rebooted. Works now.
The confirmation email link doesn't work. Can't get anything set up. I don't think you understand, the actual link embedded in the email does nothing when I click it.
App doesn't do what it says. Set desired temp and it doesn't shut off, keeps going. Good wifi connection too. Electricity bill is crazy!
App keeps telling me I have the wrong WiFi password. I double checked it on my Comcast app. All my other devices connect fine and I have a strong signal at the intelliconnect unit. I can't get it to connect and it's extremely frustrating.
Update killed the app, can't reconnect to my wifi, looks like some high school kids programmed this app. I give it a 1 start
Thank you Team Pentair. After two years with a sump and battery back up, our unit worked very well but some failed messages were recurring. Your responsiveness is impressive in a world where "Customer Service" is most times forgotten. Jim was very helpful and its much appreciated!! Bruce Law
Has to be in my top 25 most frustrating mobile applications. I still attempt to use it regularly anyhow, because I am a sucker, but why don't push notifications actually work?! Why can't it have basic "if/then" rules added for things like "if pool temperature drops by 15 degrees in 15 hours then send a push notification because something is whack!" Is this too much to ask?!
The app is infantile. Only the basic functions of on/off with the ability to schedule. "Scheduling" provides the opportunity to preset your on/off time and light color/pattern once per day for Monday thru Friday once for weekends. I have a morning and evening routine! MY weekend begins on Friday. I don't want the "party" theme extended to Sunday/Monday 2am, as I did on Friday & Saturday. Lastly, it won't sync up with Google Home or similar all-in-one apps that centralize your smart devices.
this app is terrible... everything looks better but performance sucks. I am constantly having to power cycle to reconnect and randomly the schedule will stop running.
Useful app but has a weak Wi-Fi receiver. It has good info if you're patient with the app.
App crashes frequently. Design seems unnecessarily clunky as you have to go into each individual equipment tab in order to have access to the power controls. Also, the application will sign you out often, for no particular reason. Giving 3 stars because when it does work it is an easy way to control your poop equipment. However it can definitely use some improvements.
This app needs work. I simply can't trust It's doing its job. Specifically, notifications never occur; the lights only respond about 30% of the time, and lately, the pump isn't responding. I learned from tech support that one day the servers were down, but other than that it's just general buggy. NOTE. I have an extremely strong ipv6 signal so it's not my network. I rely on my "smart devices" to work and this falls short.
they send me emails when I have a problem with my equipment and alerts on my phone. this is a Great App
I'm a licensed pool pro and have this app/controller to run my basic pool. For the most part it works fine and I like it. Updates needed are the ability to adjust GPM from app and not just the pump (gpm is the biggest benefit of the VSF pump). Currently, i can only adjust speed and if pump is set to "flow" i can only set schedule from the app. we should be able to name each program for the pump (ie cleaner, high speed, low speed etc..).
This is the worst mobile app ever! It will not stay connected and you have to go through all these procedures every time you want to run it manually and it still doesn't come back on you spend hours working on it ! Not enough support staff and most are very rude. it is so frustrating!! The prior app version was much better but far from great the pump itself is good but I would not recommend this product until this problem is fixed it would be easier to go to the pump and turn it on manua
Fair at best. Got the wifi/Bluetooth controller for the Pentair Intellibrite 5G light. I can control on/off & light show via this phone app. But the other features don't work : Twilight & Schedule. The light doesn't turn on or off at the set times. Also, as others have pointed out, no integration with Alexa or Google.
The application, all of a sudden, will not allow me to change the color of my pool lights. In fact it doesn't even show the various lighting color options that I have. Furthermore, I emailed technical support on multiple occasions, detailing the issue, without any response (this is not the first time). Update: Not only did you not fix the issue, but now the lights wont turn on at all!!!!!
