Perfect Brew : Tea Timer

It's an attractive app and I like the clever dipping strainer timer but the info for each tea is very basic and repetitive. There definitely needs to be more info on the tea, origins, health benefits, risk of heavy metals, what it blends well with, etc. Also, a way to rate & journal teas I've tried would be great.

Perfect! Such a simple and useful app! it is absolutely one of my all-time faves! No gimmicks. No pop-up ads! It's consistent and useful and lovely with it's appearance and animations! ❤️

It was a great app but now you can't add your own teas to the list anymore. Even worse, teas you set up in the past have disappeared. I have lost all the teas I set up. I have to look for a new app.

Sometime you download a app and think do you know this might be OK i have been using it for a few months now and it has proved to be such a useful aide in the process of my tea making I would certainly be losed without it. a little feature which is quite nice is when you seeped enough tea you can be promoted

The older Version was much better. IT was possible to Rename the Teas and the App was working in the Background. I will remove this Version...

New at all the types of hot teas, but absolutely love this app to learn from . Teaches you, steep time, hot water temp and a countdown for up. I have been brewing a lot more tea since I have this app now!

Not for someone in the know looking to organise their own brewing preferences. I onky looked though for aboit 5 min but i can see how it could be useful for someone exploring and trying things out with tea.

Not sure if my brewing times are better or worse than before I was using it but the whistle reminds me that I am in fact steeping tea. Also didn't realize how much tea I actually drank a day.

So close, but... If you leave the app it clears the timer. Not a great feature. That's the entire reason I downloaded the app.

was really hoping for a beep or something to remind me I have tea steeping. Kind of useless to me with out that, I may as well just use the timer on my phone.

Love the information and relaxing look plus it's got a ton of options and customizations!

Lost all my personally programmed tea settings. I had entered in probably fifteen different loose and bagged tea settings to suit each tea in my cupboard. They've all disappeared.

I've used this all for years. It's nice and convenient. However, you lose all progress when you switch devices. They've removed being able to add your own teas in which was extremely helpful if you had a blend or if certain teas of the same type you liked at different strengths. I've switched phones so hopefully the timer stopping if the phone locks our you exit out of the app was fixed.

App now opens after latest update. Review update to reflect change.

After the latest update, instead of a cup,there is a black lining of a cup. I uninstalled and lost all my tea history. The cup is still gone along with my tea brewing history. Is there a way I can restore my tea history?

It is very promising. It's detailed in some areas and void of details in other areas. Example. Roiboos has no health info like most other selections before it. As you progress through the list the type of herbal teas get clustered and the info shrinks. Tumeric etc have no info while they have extensive health benefits. ..etc. I see a lot of hard work here. Keep it up and make this app amazing. It's got the potential to be.

The timers work but I was hoping for more information of the teas than this app provides. To activate the timer you must drag the teabag into a cup, I found this to be a little annoying. I would prefer a more simple/straightforward mechanism. Once the timer finishes the sounds used to alert you sound like they've come from a meditation soundtrack, if you're doing anything you might not notice the ambient chimes. But in the end, it works.

It's a tea timer, and it does just that. You can adjust the time, so I don't see what the problem is. And it has a little bit of info which is nice :) However, to the lady saying that nobody calls black tea red tea - you are wrong. What you think is 'red tea' is roobois, a herbal tea. But, in China, what we refer to as 'black' tea - say, English Breakfast - they call 'red', because it actually has a reddish, almost brick like colour. Because they have so much tea, they have to separate it further than us - they still have black tea, but this is usually toasted or roasted and is therefore actually the colour black when brewed, not red or brown. Perhaps don't assume that every other culture is exactly the same as the one you come from? (Sorry for the rant. Nice app and does everything you need it to.)

It works but really contains very little accurate information about tea. If you are uninformed about brewing times or the proper way to serve each tea or if you think it looks cool on your phone, this is fine. But you can brew more accurately with the timer that comes on your phone!

Crap, don't waste your time installing

Would be a 5 if it didn't require tapping the start button to start the already started application. Response doesn't address the issue. If I happen to want to brew another kind of tea - which happens fairly often, I have to press the start button to start the already started application.
