Delays notifications most of the time. Often receive a phone call for a missed message prior to message coming through. Notification then gets received as soon as the app is opened. I have all access available, app can run in background and no power saver and still happens. App also frequently freezes when i try to open conversions. I have to force close the app and sometimes this doesn't even fix it so I waste time closing and reopening the app until it finally works.
Update: app no longer lets me send picture messages saying I don't have a photo gallery installed on my phone...what?! This continues to be the worst app I've ever used. You can tell they just ported an iOS app to android and forgot about it. Keep asking for support to contact me, and never hear from them. 1. Can't sticky important threads to the top 2. Pixel 6 pro - can't send pictures, keep getting error 3. If you access camera in app to take a picture, camera will not focus.
I agree, the support for Android is awful. Now, it will turn off notifications. So the only way I will know I got a message is 30 minutes later when it calls me because I haven't looked at a message. I have to uninstall and reinstall just to get it to work correctly.
Used to love this app, it needs an update, forcing closed, not getting messages for minutes, long delay for patient care. Agree with others about the phone call before the text comes this is not the quality I expect from perfect serve fix it please.
Since phone update in march the app will automatically shut down. No one knows how to get it fixed! Definitely not helpful when you have to access the message through web browser!
Can't send pictures, crashes every time it's opened. The android version of this app is not worth having.
After last update, keep losing access to the call schedules from availability. Very bad application that would never use if I get the choice.
App doesn't push notifications in real time. Will hold onto messages for up to an hour and then send them or the phone will ring telling me I have messages. Cannot trust it to wake me up overnight. I have turned off all android battery optimization and doze features and still does it. Unusable in it's current form. Other reviewers have the same issue. Needs a fix
Very slow. For the past 6-8 months, the app either doesn't open at all or opens very slowly after multiple attempts. Also stopped beeping when I received messages and there is no visual cue that a message is waiting either. This has been the case for my last two phones (Moto and Pixel), both using Android OS. The odd thing is it used to work perfectly on my Moto and then part way through owning it, the problems began. This app has went from being a lifesaver to a product I avoid using at all.
This app will switch to in call audio if you are in an active call on speakerphone and switch back to the app to read a message. Once I exit the app the speakerphone will turn back on. What's really dangerous is when I hang up the active call, all audio from the phone (ring tone, text message alerts, music, etc) are emitted from the earpiece speakerphone (the portion you put up to your ear). Tech supp not helpful and chalked it up to "my phone" and to contact T-Mobile. Doing this on multp phones
No longer receiving push notifications after the most recent T-Mobile update. This is a problem since I am missing pages. Update (4/3/19) - After talking to the product manager, we were unable to fix the push notification problem on my Galaxy 9+, but he was able to at least send an SMS message 5 minutes after a page was sent to me. It was definitely better than not receiving a notification at all. I have changed to a Galaxy 10+ and have not had any problems with notifications.
This app is extremely unreliable. Often I cannot type replies, open messages or I just get a spinning wheel with no conversation listed. I think it adversely affects patient safety due to its intermittent functionality. I do not recommend this application unless it's numerous flaws are addressed and it demonstrates the high reliability required in the healthcare setting.
Many glitches in this app that delay notifications or cause repeated errors when trying to open conversations. They clearly put little effort into trying to fix these issues as they have existed since at least 2016-2017. Also, the design of the conversation decision tree for groups that requires you to completely start over if you select an empty role is terrible.
Nothing perfect about this app. As a physician I find it extremely frustrating to use. I have a new phone and can have perfect internet connection and the app will still have connecting errors. Once it finally decides it is connected it wakes forever to actually load the messages. I cannot wait until my hospital system ditches this app in the next few months.
App doesnt consistently push notifications. It will fail to send a message & reminders until I receive the reminder phone call & then I get all messages with original time stamps. That makes it look like I got the messages on time when I didnt. I have contacted PS multiple times & they tell me it's working & close the issue as resolved without a fix. Problematic app, not helpful support, & marginal customer service. If my health system didn't demand it I would drop this app immediately.
There is a bug where it is not allowing me to send messages. The app crashes and auto exits when I press send. It's been ongoing for the past 2-3 weeks. I have had slowdown on some of my clinical duties due to this. I'm an emergency medicine physician and efficiency is super important in my job. Please fix it asap.
Since getting the new Samsung 10, this app fails to notify me of pages until I get a phone call an hour later. It is detrimental to patient care. I have gone through the steps turning off optimization of the app as requested by perfect serve multiple times. This is a temporary fix. This will be my third time uninstalling the app in the last two weeks to get it to temporarily work. I will be on call overnight tomorrow and am not sure what to do about this problem.
App is pretty good I think a few features could make this app more useful as a practitioner. 1. Ability to forward pages automatically to another team member when unavailable (i.e. in a procedure) 2. Ability to have different sound notifications for urgent and routine messages 3. Ability to silently acknowledge messages so you don't have to be woken up with thank you pages when on call.
Overall like the app. Had a glitch w/ the Adroid Pie OS update where the notification would not play the PerfectServe sounds (I use long beeps as this is impossible to sleep through). I called i to PerfectServe and a support staff walked me through the fix - which required turning off a battery optimization feature on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Now it works again. Thanks
Horrible app. I have always had issues with my android. Lately it seems much worse that usual. I get a error message everytime I try to open a new notification. I get delayed notifications (which is not ideal when many of these notifications are time sensitive.)
review edited: Had previously complained of application no longer providing alerts on Samsung Galaxy Note 9. This was not an issue with app, but with the Battery function on the phone advising me to put the app to sleep. App would work, but no longer provide audio cues. Fixed by allowing the app to run in the background. Pleased with app function, pleased with past customer service calls.
Worthless App, does not work with my android phone.
App does not consistently create notifications for messages until I open the app. If I do not view the messages for which I have not received notifications, I receive an automated call to notify me of messages. Upon opening the app, I receive notification of the messages timed much earlier. This app is unsafe for critical patient care information as it is unreliable for timely communication.
Since 1 month or so, the app crashes on opening. I have a Samsung Note 10+. The error says, this app has a bug. No solution coming so far. It's unusable
Terrible. I'm required to use this by the hospital I work at. I've had to uninstall and reinstall it multiple times because it just stops working for no reason. I often have trouble loading my messages, and it's not uncommon it randomly doesn't alert me to new messages. I was better off with my pager
Buggy app! Since update to Android Pie the app no longer sends push notifications which is a big deal when I'm on call and not getting my pages. I have to refresh the conversation screen to get them and I'm usually half hour or more behind. FIX THIS PLEASE!
Very poor support for Android. They're set up well for iPhones only. Can't send images through the app. After app update on 3/28/22, it automatically force closes everytime I try to start it "network error.". Even IT support at the hospital can't fix it. PS support line can't fix it. If you have Android phone this is definitely not the app for you.
