To forecast ovulation Period Tracker calculates 14 days before the projected start date of one's next period. Incredibly annoyed to find out the deluxe version of this app (which I bought back in 2016) stopped being updated back in 2019 without any warning in I guess favor for this app (the original) and making people pay more money in the form of a subscription. Even after importing my data back into this app from the deluxe version, I still can't manage to get my "notes" exported. I just want to export my data...literal years of information that I will now have to manually copy and paste slowly.
UPDATE 3/30/22: WIDGET STILL BROKEN ☹️12/21/21: Been using this for years. The last update broke the widget. I see that's true for others. I have cleared the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled, removed the widget and put it back. The widget stays stuck on the countdown which is a bummer because it is really the most helpful part of the app. I use an Android if that helps with working out this new bug.
I've had this app for YEARS, pretty sure it was new when I started using it. Before changing phones recently, everything was working perfectly and I could change the default background thing from the pink and teal to a bunch of others, that seems to have vanished. I'm really unhappy with the change. I could swear I paid for it in the past, but it's been so long, I have no idea. Begging for 5* but not answering why I don't have access to features I did a few months ago. Not a good idea.
Great app, been using it for a few years now. I find it very accurate as far as its projections. Has auto backup on the free version which is great, and the app widget works well; just dont move it to sd card. Also, I wished it synch to Google Fit.
*Developers have abandoned it* Suddenly rubbish. The main useful tool, the WIDGET, stopped working. Been using app for 6yrs and to get widget to work again I had to sign up for account (i.e add email to what will be a 3rd party sell on list I'm sure). The widget is the only part I need and now it's not useless, while the actual app is reminiscent of 2006 MySpace themes, looking outdated. Annoyed I now have to trial other apps to replace this one because they suddenly broke it.
To be honest I have downloaded other apps including fitness app that dare to say that they can predict almost "perfectly" your period. And not even one of them have come as close and simple as this app has in all its years that I've had it for. Also you can share the information directly with your partner or a medical provider. And yes, I've got the free version, and it's the absolute best! Wouldn't change it for no other app. ❤ it's been a long ride!
The app keeps erasing data on my new phone. I just had to reenter my most recent cycle and other information that I had entered has just disappeared. I have had this app for several years and multiple phones and had no issues. Now all of a sudden on my new phone, information disappears.
This app used to be great but has been really going downhill. I no longer get notifications warning me of my period and like others have reported, the widget won't update so isn't accurate most of the month. For the first time in years, I've installed a replacement.
The experience with this app is amazing. I can save all my details. However, I observed a bug in the app. I clicked on period started today on the home page and it made the calculations accordingly as day 1 today. Then I went to calendar and clicked on yesterday's date. I selected period started today. When I went back to the calendar, it is showing day 1 for yesterday and also day 1 for today.
I've been using this app for yearrrrs. Its simple and pretty. Only issue I've had repeatedly is the widget stops working. Very inconvenient especially when I use that the most to see where I am in my cycle.
This app is so easy to use and you can back up your info and download it on other devices and get your info back easily ive used it for years and love it its always been very accurate, for me anyway, and i havent had any problems with it i definitely recommend it
Overall, it does it's job decently. However, the widget doesn't update on its countdown, and it doesn't explain things like "when there's flowers on the branch, you're ovulating", etc.
Notifications don't work anymore, I have had one set up as a nightly B.C reminder that worked great for a while. No Notifications that I had set up as a "friend" reminder either. Widget stops after each update, have to remove it and then replace to Jumpstart. Ive used this app since 2014, it had been great in the past, but is dated and needs some actual updates that aren't geared towards the paid e-zines and books.
I've been using it for years and love it, I only wish it would autosave, I lost 5 years of calenders when I switched phones and wasn't paying attention, but that's my bad, not the developers.
What happened? I have been using this App for 6 or 7 years now with no issue. When I open now a blank white screen with nothing but a 0 in the top left corner pops up and it can't be closed, blocking me from using the app. Very sad. I loved this app. Changed rating from 5 stars to 1.
They say there's an option to delete your account and data, but I've been trying for days and it just spins forever. This is an incredibly dangerous app in today's political climate that hangs onto your data and who knows who they're selling your information to.
I've had this app for years. It's fairly accurate for predicting my next cycle. Gave only 3 stars because my favorite part of this app, the widget, stopped working a while back. Please fix it!
I have loved and used this app for years, but suddenly I'm unable to do backups - which I have set to do manually. Beyond that, the app still seems to be working well, but I am concerned about potentially needing to change phones and no longer having access to my historical information that is informing some things going forward
