Periodic Table

This fact-filled, image-rich app is the only periodic table you need.
Ideal if you’re a student, teacher or just have an interest in the chemical sciences.

Did you know that neodymium is used in microphones? Or europium in Euro bank notes to help stop counterfeiting? These are just two of the absorbing facts in our customisable app, based on our popular and well-respected Royal Society of Chemistry Periodic Table website.

• See elements in their natural state and real-life applications.• Check out podcasts and videos.• Use our interactive slider to see how elements change state as temperature increases, or explore the discovery of the elements through history. • Customise your app to see only what interests you.• Use our simple table for quick access to data – like sorting elements in order of increasing density.

Nice app and helpful for my son with his chemistry school work but much improvement needed in the app. Fancy features like the imagery is nice but make it work with varying device screen sizes first! The table can't even display in full on my screen and is cropped along with the menu icons (at least allow screen panning?). On my sons device, the app just crashes when loading the table. Very unstable and needs more UI and UX work.

The app is very good. Everything is perfectly laid out really well and it covers 99% of people's needs. The UI is very intuitive, understandable and customisable because it is the first thing the app asks you when you open it. The only thing that can be improved is the colour choices, but it works fine as it is and I only bring this up is because I am a designer myself. Really great. If you are a student, professional chemist or anyone who needs a hhandy periodic table, get this app.

Not as many of the latest discoveries as a different PT I have, but it has its own "elements" (no pun intended - much) unique to itself that I know of. Having both of these free apps is giving me more information than I'm ever likely to need, but if I were a physics/chemistry student, I'd definitely have this alongside the 2020 version of the other PT (sadly has no more identifying info than that in the title!). Absolutely recommended.

So much info, organized perfectly so you can access just how much info you need. the videos are fun and give relevant and historical info and are optional. I haven't even tried to access the podcasts yet. I've tried several periodic table apps & will delete all but this one. Great resource & its free. Thx for the time & energy it took to create & that it takes to maintain.

I am using Samsung A7 android., and not able to open video and podcast. I don't any 'continue' icon on the screen. Otherwise the app is very good. Hi, thanks for the prompt reply. Yes I tried reinstalling the app. But didn't work. I am using android 8.0.0 version.

This is remarkable! It omits a few allotropes-like metallic hydrogen, but most of that info isn't useful to most users. I give this a 99/100, the layout is fantastic, there is more info than most people are going to need and the only downside is that they overlooked a few allotropes. I mean, congrats on the app, because it slaps. Edit, also if you could possibly put the atomic number (Z) of the elements on the otherwise perfect rank, that'd be the Bees' Knees. Or the Porcupines' Pompadour. :)

Simply the best! Everything you would want to see in a periodic table app. Be sure to check out different "modes" in settings to fine tune what you actually see.

One of the best apps I have ever used. So much more than a periodic table. Thank you to professors and technicians for all the work that goes into the videos. Really makes chemisty exciting and interesting. My son and I watch experiments together and it brings the subject alive. I can't praise it enough.

Very interesting information. It reminds me of the time when I used to enjoy learning Chemistry at (secondary) school. Clearly displayed information for those of us with just a basic understanding of Chemistry. Thank you for creating this app! 😀 Please could you develop an update for those of us who have Android version 10 or above? The app says it may not work properly because it was created for an earlier version of Android. Thank you!

The touch screen on my Samsung S8+ doesnt like this app...or the app doesnt like my device, everywhere i press it hits another randon place on the screen. I was really looking forward to this good looking app. If its possible to fix it I will be sure to adjust my rating accordingly. EDIT im using version 9, its an older phone but not that old, its running all the latest updates available.

it's a really nice app when it loads, but it has an annoying loading screen which sits there for 3 seconds. I usually use it to look up something. That 3 second wait seems avoidable and interferes with it's usefulness as a quick reference.

Overall It's a good app but when i click on any element and video is playing. Its crashed in a regula interval of time. Again i am starting from first. Please fix this bug.

Love this app. Easy to use and great layout. Videos with explanations, examples and experiments. Great for anyone who is new to science and wanting to learn.

Very good resource to learn a little bit about the elements, but not all the information is accurate, eg, you definitely WON'T find a helium-neon laser in a barcode scanner!

Arn. G. Jun 11, 2020

Good app. Only problem is that it doesn't display the full electronic configuration in terms of s,p,d,f. If that were to be displayed in next update, I'd give 5 stars for sure

Easy to use - information is clear - lots of info about the elements and links to videos and pod casts. It's ad free too

the app is good but: "This app was built for an older version of Android and may not work properly. Try checking for updates, or contact the developer." it certainly needs an update.

Constant nagging at start of app, about not being compatible with android11. Then wants me to download newer version of app. Which doesn't exist... Otherwise works fine.

Complete, simple, interesting, convenient and useful. This is the only periodic table app that I will ever need in my life.

Ron. Sep 17, 2019

Very good app. It has all common and Important facts necessary for chemistry. I had downloaded it in my Smartphone. But it made me so impressed that i downloaded it in my windows PC using Bluestacks. Thanks a lot for this wonderful helpful app.

Exactly what I wish I'd had when I was first learning about the periodic table. Very well designed UI. A complete reference tool.

Gwe. D. Mar 31, 2019

I love that this app not only explains each element, but that there are video's, etc., which accompany the individual elements and help to bring them all to life.

Inc. g. Jan 9, 2021

Very good app especially for chemistry students. It gives you a detailed description of the elements of the periodic table. You need not to have access to the internet before usage. I recommend it for you

This is by far the most comprehensive and complete Periodic Table of Elements I have ever came across in the Google Play Store. I definitely recommend everyone to have this app on their device. This is a prime example of how learning can be fun. Many thanks to the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Ash. Jun 5, 2019

Didn't meet expectations. It is no better than those other periodic table apps. And what is the 34 MB(storage space) for if the app shows just image data?

Ste. D. May 21, 2021

Nice app, until it decided to grab three new permissions with no justification given - run foreground service, run at startup, prevent sleeping. Why, when the functionality is unchanged?

Al. P. Oct 22, 2018

Really like this one from the others I tried, no need to spell the entire names to search, and the uses and properties section is very informative.

Raj. M. Aug 13, 2021

I recommend this periodic table app, it's updated, very easy ui with all the necessary details. Giving 5 starts cause they don't show adds.

Del. O. Jan 2, 2022

A good informational tool for studying. I haven't fully checked out the functionality but probably will give a 5 star after doing so. Thank you for creating this app.
