I can't even rate the app. It's installed but it won't open. The tech I spoke to advised that my problem is because I have a dual sim phone. His solution was to put my sim into a single sim phone, download the app and put the sim back into my phone. Ptsb are by all accounts working on the app. I'm shocked that a new version was released prior to sorting out all the issues. I cannot access my account unless I do so on the laptop. This is stone age stuff and I'm so surprised at Ptsb. 😞
If I could give it 0 stars I would! This is the worst app I've ever used in my entire life. A bug whereby users are prompted for an internet password caused me to block my account. To unblock it I need to use a computer. Got that issue sorted then I tried to add a payee (only possible via laptop which is ridiculous) and each time I click on the push notification to authorize the payee I get an error saying something went wrong. Whoever's developing your app should be sacked.
Like so many others, push notifications are a nightmare. Take forever to come through and then by the time they do the site I'm trying to pay something on has timed out and I have to start all over again. Also having to use a laptop to set up payees, I get that it's probably for security purposes, but it's still annoying. I have no issues with anything else app related.
Truly the most frustrating app I have ever used, failing to authenticate payments, log in errors. Connectivity issues. If you plan to go "digital first" you surely need to provide a better standard of service. Even scheduled maintainance windows are such a thing of the past. This is what happens when banks see IT as a "nice to have".
Not at all good app. Applied for a online saving account, went through the process and later on I couldn't find the application anywhere. Thought I didn't do it properly, but I did. Simply it isn't there to see or check the status of it. Advertising as easy and in minutes. It is in days and you need to ring the customer service then and they can't solve it then go to the branch etc. Will drive me out of the bank with this kind of service.
Awful. If I could give it minus stars I would. Trying to set up an account and it's next to impossible. It "takes a photo" "automatically" for identification purposes, but that function doesn't work. So I started again and now I can't get past my basic info. Went to the bank, they told me to come home and use the app even though I told them it doesn't work. -5 stars for the level of annoyed I am right now.
I would be happier if I could add additional login requirements besides the pin, eg two factor auth with a one time password, otherwise it does what it says on the tin. Only 2 times in 2 years I needed to go to the ptsb website because something in the app didn't work, which turned out to be my fault. Maybe some UI changes to enable a default account whose details appear when I open the app. On an XZ2, S9, no issues with performance.
Embarrassing! I have changed two phones to try to get push notifications when adding a payee on a desktop but there is no chance to receive them. I have allowed all other notifications under app settings as I got told but still cannot do it! In shorts: you cannot do what you want with your money. Rubbish
This is app is years behind competitors in Ireland and the rest of the world. Login is cumbersome and does not support fingerprint scanner like most apps have done for years. You cannot add payment beneficiaries on the app which is a huge hassle. You cannot access statements on the app which does not make sense in a world where people carry around a phone most of the day. They need to rethink their strategy and focus more on developing the app to cater to the needs of the modern day customer.
The mobile banking is shocking and incredibly slow. I'm unable to do anything online because of issues with push notifications. I have contacted AIB to enquire about switching because I just can't put up with it anymore.
I'd give it zero stars if I could. I'm constantly being logged out and have to enter a brand new time. I've called customer support countless times and they can't do anything because I don't have a laptop or desktop which makes no sense, people should have access to their account with jumping through hoops. Also, ever since the maintenance was done, my money goes in late every week. What are you trying to do to people?!!!!
Horrible update per 25/04/2022. New update didn't have password data saved, didn't remember the password that I set years ago. Couldn't call the number to reset my password as I need to login to the app to top up my phone. Now locked out of my account, can't top up my phone to call them to unlock it and have to pay my rent. Awesome 🤮
This app is useless. Downloaded new update and I had to re register my phone now saying SIM swap detected and won't let me. So spent ten mins trying to ring ptsb and they don't open til 10. Also the push notifications never work first time always have to do it twice. My partner says to move banks over this because it's such a waste of time and aib app always works froat time
PTSB must add once off payments in the app, which is very convenient to transfer amount just with the name and IBAN number. It is not always possible to login to a computer /laptop to add a beneficiary to transfer a small amount. You may never need that beneficiary in future, still need to add to transfer any amount: A complex process. Please add the option to pay with IBAN and Name. AIB even allows to transfer money if the beneficiary is in your contacts. PTSB need to come up with next update
The functionality of the App is good but it am always getting a connection issue to check Internet, the app is the problem as I have full connectivity on all my other apps. It can also be very slow when you put in your PAN code before you get to the main app screen with your account etc.
With the new update, login details are no longer remembered. The app requests the open24 number, password and pan each time. Terrible experience. This was after I "registered" my phone so I wouldn't have to do this every single time I try to login. Please fix it for us 🙏
Every time I click to authorise payment from another site through push notification I have to cancel the transaction forster as it never allows me to the point of authorising the payment the first time it just goes into the homescreen of the app. Very irritating having to go through the transaction process twice for everything I purchase online.
It's limited in features. Can't set new payee, Can't download e-statement so laptop or desktop is also needed. Rivals to TSB are better. Used it for years without stability or connection issues.
Awful, worst app I've come across by a country mile. Had to move banks and when looking into all the banks and there mobile app this one was promoted as being the best. How wrong was I. Do not download as you will be extremely disappointed. Have never been able to open up this app just keep saying something went wrong please try again
Failure to log in out of numerous times (even with having a password written in front of you) isn't something that should surprise you with this app. SMS might come through, and then it also might not come through. I spend half an hour getting into my 24 account today, needed to ring them and use laptop too. So if you want to use this bank and their online banking you should probably be rich (to have spare hours of time to log in and have at least 2 decices, just for them, of course).
Been in Canada over a year now and occasionally used the app for sending money and since the update I can't log in anymore, have no access to this account, called and changed my number to a family members so I could log in, still can't log in, they can't use their phone to log in either, absolutely shocking update, was great beforehand
Absolute joke of a app . Had to reset my device to be more secure and now can hardly ever get into it keeps loading . Happening for the bones of a week and have got in once . Waste of time even trying .
This app is slow and unresponsive. No matter what device or how good my connection is, it will always consistently lose connection or have an error. Which is really inconvenient when needing to look at your finances. It's also so archaic compared to other banking apps. Thanks for the response at least. This week for example every time I try to log in it logs me out automatically and says after 5mins you have timed out and can't get past it. It happens straight away everytime
Terrible app. Slow as a wet week and Almost impossible to log in and when it does it randomly logs out. Never has an app frustrated me more and its been like this for a very long time
smooth and user friendly experience only negative thing is you can not get your statement on the app or print it, much needed thing for people on the go, hopefully something that Ptsb can rectify soon
App was made back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Compare it to Revolut or N26, like comparing a horse and cart to an Aston Martin. Got a push message today 'important app update needed, go to Play Store'. Went to play store. No update available and last update 20 days ago was the latest one. I give up. Same as the app designers
Terrible terrible app. Updated as requested and now I keep getting logged out. Also no quick balance feature. You could take a look at the AIB or revolut app and try again! Surely it's not that hard to get a banking app right!
Absolutely shockingly bad App. It is, by a country mile, the most frustrating app I have ever used. It's a complete nightmare trying to log in and sometimes, it's just down right impossible. Also when I do get in, it often logs out for no reason. PTSB... Your IT/Developer team need to be either sacked or severly spanked!!!!! My 11 year old can code a more responsive App. If it were possible to give a zero star rating to your app, I happily would.
