This is just the app I was looking for. It allows you to see all apps that request a particular permission, and it creates a composite score for each app based on how many potentially sensitive permissions it requests. Best of all, the app doesn't itself request special permissions.
Good for quickly identifying intrusive apps. It needs an update though. Doesn't take into account disabled permissions, for instance.
Thank you for this app! I wish there was a way to search Google Play for the most permission friendly apps, or if Google would show search results in order of the most permission friendly. Permission friendly should be less of a secret, Google!
Does some of its job, but an app with zero permissions can't be added to the trusted list, so all these apps have to live with an explanation mark in an orange triangle
Really needs to include OS system apps. Many system apps use flashlight and camera but are not listed.
Thank you for your effort in making this app. Please update. Doesn't show system apps on android 8.1
Works great, gives detailed information, and doesn't require any special privileges.
I was not aware this had ever been installed on my phone. Now it looks like I'll be doing some software cleaning!
Great app , above all no trackers, why the developer abondoned the app. It solves the purpose
no permissions. i hate apps that require 5 pages of permissions
Very nice is use app thanks latest version is require for need
Why does it not scan Facebook permissions?
Thank you so much, because it's not fully recovered but it quite fine now, so thank you once again🙏👍
roses are red violets are blue i just got clickbait so did you dont download this only waste your time
Where is System app ?only showing 3rd party apps.
I don't know anything about this app at all but when I do I will get back to you
Not what im looking for. But niceapp
Very useful it.
Awesome app. Thanks
A must have App.
The only reason I installed this app is because I am privacy seeker. And I can assure you that this app didn't let me down. It not only shows what permissions every app has access to, but also shows a severity score for every app and if you feel like the app is too severe for you, you can simply press the uninstal button right in the app. You can even filter the apps by permission, sort them by severity score or name which I believe every user will find it usefull. Totaly recommend.
Great simple app, no adds, no permissions, and an easy way to see what permissions different apps are wanting. It would be nice if it could tell if a permission is denied for an app, and sort by the score based off only granted permissions. It would also be cool if for each app it gave a shortcut to its app information page in system settings, IIRC that can be done without root, and it seems odd that there's no button or link for that
Great for non-marshmallow users. However if you do have marshmallow it is necessary to distinguish between granted and blocked permissions. And changing permissions directly from this app would be nice too. Always a five star rating for no adds !!! Even though some of my apps are listed as safe but do produce irritating and sometimes aggressive (yes) adds.
This is a very helpful app if, like me, you want to get to grips with becoming permission 'literate'. It is quite an education, a learning curve. This app is a little gem which can help you gain better awareness of the peculiarities of permissions - and to be savvy as a result.
I like the idea of rating an app based on its intrusiveness. It didn't rate all my apps (missed WhatsApp for ex) and sometimes gave inconsistent scores - bad score but when looking at the details it said it was ok).
A very good app, but the results need to be interpreted with care. Don't be alarmed if most of your apps are marked as "dangerous". This is to be expected in most cases. For instance, the Lookout security app has a very high score because it needs access to almost everything. Of course it does, it's a security app! Also most developers want to know how you use their apps - for analytical purposes so they can improve them, so this generally means network access is required. Please use this app as a guide only. I was unimpressed to find the apps that I had already downloaded because they needed no special permissions......had special permissions attached to them somehow. Just goes to show you what a deceitful world we live in these days
Although showing important and relevant information & explanations, it ignores the "other" (the non-toggleable) category of permissions and although counting them in the score, it doesn't call them permissions and says: "Great ! This application requires no permission. It means that there is no ads, and it's totally secure". This despite the fact that the "other permissions" includes internet access, near field, and other dangerous (non-toggleable) permissions. Also: "others" DO allow ads. 2⭐
