Android own the names of permissions and Santander will only use them to enhance your experience when using the app. For example, ‘Modify or delete the contents of your USB storage’ lets you remember your ID in Mobile Banking and rate the app. You can find a list of the app’s permissions in your phone’s Applications Manager, or by visiting the Play Store and clicking ‘Installed’.

Very reliable, a little basic. I've been using this app for over a year now, it's never crashed and it's always done what I've needed it to do with no reliability issues. I've had issues with other banking apps in that time but I found the Santander app to be the most reliable. I do think the app is very basic, and doesn't offer as much features or information as other apps. I think Santander development team should look at all of the other banking apps, and bring the app to modern times.

It's suddenly stopped working. It reports "We've stopped the app running for your safety. It looks like you're running apps or services that could affect the security of your device". However, as far as I'm aware, nothing has changed on my phone since the last time I've used the app. Other bank apps I have are still ok. After uninstalling and reinstalling, all seems to be ok again.

Worked well for a while but now the log in page does not respond. The little circle goes round and round but then no padlock icon and no 'securing your device' dialogue. The registration number request appears, not on a dashed line as normal, but on a solid line. The solid line accepts the five digit registration number but then a silly dialogue saying 'Oops! Sorry, something went wrong with your details' pops up and no further action can be taken. Anyone else had this problem?? I've deleted the App, cleared its cache, reloaded the App, even returned my phone to factory settings. Nothing works.

I am new to Santander after changing accounts from another bank. Yesterday was my first day with Santander. I was quite unsure at first regarding the two different cards for my account. I think I'm now getting the hang of it and I find the App really easy and straightforward to use. I have noticed they will give you specific warnings whilst you are doing something on the App ie. Money transfer to another outside account. I find this a good thing as it makes you think twice. Now nearly 2 years.

The app is okay. But would help immensely if we can change the reason for the payment each time. For example, I registered my son as a recipient but I am giving him money for different purposes at different times. The option is not available.

The app is good but it needs organising. With pending at one side and current balance on the other. At the moment I have balance pending in the left and balance including pending in the right just keep it simple one on either side is sufficient.

I've uninstalled the app and reset the cache but it still freezes my phone. I'm on the s21 ultra and when I'm trying to pay someone the screen moves up slightly leaving a small black bar at the bottom and then when I press continue to pay them a red loading circle appears then dissappears and then I get stuck on that paying screen. The only way to get off being to force reset my phone.

The keyboard recently added works appallingly on a Pixel 6 atleast. There no visible lines between numbers and they're weirdly spread out. I end up hitting the wrong key around 80%, when the sole purpose of the keyboard is to enter account or payment details, this is terminal failure. How it ever got through a review as an acceptable UI is beyond belief unless the designers are still in school.

I have just opened a Current Account and a Savings Account with Santander. I am finding the app very easy to navigate so far. I am looking forward to future new features and I found the application process for both accounts very easy and straightforward.

Normally a good app, easy to use. But I've been getting notifications from my phone today: "this app has a bug & keeps crashing and to wait for the developer to fix this issue". Just uninstalled & reinstalled, see if that helps. Still getting the same message.

Basic banking app, the cash back offers are a great idea but it would be great say if you went in a shop for it to remind you tou have a offer to use. Great on the basics just wish there was a better budgeting screen rather than allowing external apps to look st ur details.

Found it to be a great, reliable & easy to use. With not too much security which takes up time with other apps. In response to someone else's review about updates taking up more & more space on phn. I found with old phn, best thing to do with as many apps as poss, was not just to update, but uninstall & reinstall. I found anyway seems to take up less space this way esp if phn is prone to this. All round good banking app. Haven't experienced any problems, will say if overnight maintenance.

The app is very easy to navigate through. I'm so pleased to have the app as it's the only one that worked out of the two other bank's apps when I was abroad where the internet connection was not great. Otherwise I would have been stranded without funds. Thanks to the developers.

Very easy and intuitive to use. Much easier than some other bank e.g. Nationwide. The one thing is missing is the reference of the payment. Could improve in the notifications as well.

The latest update has decided to disable the app completely for having an unlocked bootloader (not rooted or anything) without any warning, making it impossible to make a transfer I needed. Completely unusable now, which is disappointing when online banking is a key feature. Edit: still not working after reinstalling per developer suggestion

I'm not happy with the way my card keeps getting declined when trying to pay online for goods outside of europe. It's frustrating and costing me money every time. The app is of no helo with this as the chat feature, (when it works), they just say to ring... and that means a long time on hold.

Since update I can't log in on my Galaxy S6 Tablet. I've uninstalled and installed it but when I try to log in using my details I get a message saying ( Oops something went wrong with my details ) but my details are correct. I've never had trouble up to now.

Once again a quick balance check turns into a waste of 10 minutes updating a poorly written app. Stop trying to make the app all singing and dancing and concentrate on stability. Another update (See comments above) Another update this time the page doesn't even display properly, do you even try these apps before releasing them? More bug fixes!! Grrrrrr!

App works well, does everything I need on a basic level but I find myself putting money in monzo simply so I can budget. Would be great if you had the features that monzo have. I can see myself switching fully over to monzo soon if nothing changes.

the app has been find and worked well until the recent update. now I cannot pay money into any other accounts and this means I cannot make the transactions I need to. I have tried reinstalling the app and it has not worked for 2 days now. I need this to be fixed as I am currently travelling without the card and my only way to access my money is through bank transfer thank you.

Live chat ends 20 mins after they reply, and sometimes the notifications don't work. Service could be much better - focus on trying to help people, not trying to end chat quickly! Payments also break in this app. iPad and desktop are fine.

If you force me to upgrade to Android 8, I will immediately close all my accounts. I have a galaxy s6, which functions perfectly. Google won't release Oreo for this device but I refuse to let my bank tell me when to replace my (perfectly working) phone. Your move: happy with this bank but they will not dictate when my phone is no longer viable. Edit: support response is completely inadequate. If you render the app incompatible with my phone then I WILL close my accounts. No debate.

Can't use it, as it asks for a passcode, yet I don't need a pass code for online banking, just a two step verification. Plus trying to use the online chat, total waste of time as it's a bot, and to get through to a call center it's 30 minutes on the phone. Come on Santander, surely you can do better?

So frustrating to not be able to screenshot payments to show buyers that money has been sent. Wanting to quickly check balance and app won't let me due to needing update. Worst is trying to open app when other apps like Google maps is open.

I updated my app about 2 months ago. Then yesterday at login it said please update. This morning I needed to check something on the app and couldn't unless I updated. I feel you should have the option to update when you can. Also prefer the old beginning of the app when you only had to enter the 3 numbers instead of the whole five.
