The idea is fantastic but there are some very bothersome issues. I love the idea and generally speaking the app is clear. But there are major issues with notifications. I cannot choose to get additional job alerts or other via email and I NEVER get notifications on the phone. I missed at least 40 jobs because of this! There is no in-app way to get in touch with the management and they have poor response. I would also wish they'd add a calender or the option to sync it with the phone's calender.
Works differently on the app versus on a computer. Easier on the app. You'll still need some time to get acquanted with the app. Needs way better notification. Once in a while I'll get notified of a potential guest, mostly I have to check a few times a day. Probably lost some clients due to long response time because I wasn't notified quickly on my phone or not at all.
There are a lot of bugs since the last update. Once you have opened a job the back button doesn't work preventing going back to the job list. It doesn't refresh to show new jobs. When clicking on a notification for a new job it doesn't show the new job, and have to manually try to refresh multiple times. I have to close and reopen the app almost every time I use it at the moment
Like that the pet sitter can update the route, distance and time take to walk my pet. But it would be better if there's a tab for messages at the bottom with the other request etc instead. Cause i had to press through all the tabs to find the message button and notification button is at the profile page. The inconsistency in those button makes it confusing for first time user.
A very helpful app and I am happy and thankful for such an initiative. The reliability factor in terms of refund if not satisfied is what made me decide to go for it. As a suggestion when booking is done for more than 10 days it would help if the app has a feature to note attendance by the Walker as it's difficult to remember the breaks in between. Thanks for such a service provider
Signed up as a sitter. It's quite difficult to use and quite clunky. I had to accept their terms and conditions about 6 times just trying to set up my page. I got offered a job in seconds which is also very alarming as I had not uploaded my ID yet. Not sure why it's also asking me to hide the ID # because how do you verify its a real ID without that? Security concerns. In addition, hard to set up service listings and not displayed very well.
It's IMPOSSIBLE to delete an account with these people. There's an option to do so but it doesn't work, either does the reset password link and support is non existent. They just close your ticket. GDPR issues with this one. Pawshake is way better. Better support and user experience.
It's overall a pretty good app, I just wish that if the pet owners have chosen a sitter or walker it will immediately notify the other pet sitters/walkers that are also bidding so we don't feel ghosted, ust a friendly suggestion. The support's respond time is fast and I appreciate the friendliness of the support team, even if you did make a mistake. One final thing, I think this app have different languages? It's not hindering me too much but it can be a bit confusing. 😁
I never knew that there is an app like this! Tq PetBacker. You are our saviour. We had great difficulties searching for cat hotels to board our cats during Eid this year as almost all cat hotels in KL and Selangor were fully booked. But PetBacker came into the picture when i was busy searching for cat hotels. Tq! Its a good app. The service given by My Pets Guardian was superb. Tqq!!! I highly recommend this app. 🥰🥰🥰
I used this app recently to board my kitties over the Hari Raya holidays (end April 2022). So from this first experience, I can say I love the service you provide & the app! I got 3 requests quickly, the same day that I posted the ad. Communication with the sitter that I chose was easy on the app. Booking & payment was smooth too. And I'm very happy with my sitter! Thanks Petbacker, your service was a lifesaver coz I don't want to put my furbabies in cages. Will repeat. (btw, I live in KL)
Good apps for both sides. But still need some space for improvement. The help center don't really do their work properly so i need to report same issue several time for them to respond. Still, only one instead of two issues solved. Second, i feel it is unnecessary to block the chat since they already filtered the unacceptable words as sometimes we unnoticeably wrote or unaware. 25% fee is too much, quite bias towards pet parents. Hope can make some improvement. Thank you so much.
Was able to find a cat boarding near me. Customer service is really good and everything went well. Got tons of pictures while I was away. Secure platform. Love it!
PetBacker is an app which let's you find petlovers (most are owners themselves) who offer services from dog walking, grooming, taxi, training, pet sitting, and even dog boarding. I tried the boarding service offered by a nearby provider, it was awesome! She was a total pet person. The app has many things to improve on (speed, user-friendliness, etc.), nonetheless, it met my expectations. I highly recommend this site/app.
The concept and intention are great, but the interface and communication between all parties require lots of rooms to improve. Not very user friendly, there is a push up notification option but not functional at all. Communication wise is the worst. For active Backers are no problem, but there is no stern action from the developer to notify the passive Backers to attend the waiting requests. Developer themselves are non-responsive for queries submitted, not even a call or live chat option.
It's very easy to use. Enter your requirements and you'll get a bunch of requests back, go through the individual profiles, chat with the sitters and decide who you want to pick. They have other reviews as well as a small bio on themselves and what they do. Very well designed and usable app!
Awesome apps to get a proper accommodation for my fur babies! The sitter that I got was also very good and affectionate to my cats. Please consider using this apps, to ensure your pets can roam freely (not caged like in common hotels) so they can run & play around and don't feel stressed while their parents are away.
The app is not super easy to use, notably when it comes to filtering and sorting pet sitters or to understanding the consequences of posting a job and inviting sitters to it. However I managed to find an amazing pet sitter and it shows that most of them love pets.
I used it only once to find a babysitter for my cats. For me, the application is quick to uderstand, reliable, comfortable to use and helped me at 100%.
Love it. They really work hard to match the proper backer to the right pets. Update. Still loving this app. Had a minor problem with a glitch but the support team was able to fix it quickly. The app says you will get a response in 24 hours but I have always had a response in less than 5 minutes. The app also has helpful information about caring for your pets and what to look for in a potential caregiver or sitter. Still HIGHLY recommend this app. You won't regret giving it a try. 10 out of 10!
I have a good phone so this app shouldn't be glitchy, yet it wont allow me to enter my information when I try to sign up to be a service provider. I'm very disappointed. I would have loved to interact with all the other animals. And the opening ad pops up multiple times and I cant close it. If you can fix this for me I'd gladly download this app again
Not convenient; you first need to register and set up a profile of your pet, only then you can search for a cat sitter and {for my area} find there isn't any. Other apps are more straightforward
I downloaded this app hoping to find local resources to watch my dog while my family and I take weekend outings or day trips. What I ended up with was an app that didn't meet those needs and no way to get the money back I had to put in the wallet prior to services. Not only are the customer service response slow, the customer care is inadequate.
This app was great as it connected us with a superb sitter. I had to dock it one star because of an app issue with not being able to see full messages on the picture walls and not beginning able to do certain things! But mmy overall experience was great and I will be utilizing the app again.
You get blocked from messaging customers for no good reason. I just tell the area I'm placed and i get blocked. Like seriously how should customer know where am I before booking my boarding. Feel it's all a trick to make up become a sponsor and pay 16.5k. initially it was good but not having the best experience comapired other apps for the same purpose.
DON'T RECOMMEND!!!! I have stopped working with this app 2 months ago and still haven't received the money I transferred from my wallet to my PayPal account. They charge you a super high fee for a service they clearly can't provide. I have complained about it to their customer support for several times, however still haven't heard from them. DON'T USE THIS APP! Unless you want to give them money in exchange of your free labor.
I've been restricted many times for no reason, they sort it out under 36 hours, the delay causes issues. I haven't had problems with the payout as I've seen other reviews of issues. The app is a good side hustle income but it does frustrate most clients to not be allowed to contact the pet sitter, understandably, I do like that insurance is offered so I have no reason to go off the app.
