I love the same day delivery! My kids feed the dog and always forget to tell me to order food until last minute. Literally last minute. The app could improve though. It's not necessarily the ease on how to use it, because it is easy to navigate. But the app crashes more often than desirable.

TERRIBLE! It does NOT track the food you buy...therefor you DONT ever get your free bag. It's overall 'wonky' and frustrating to use. Seldom "responds". What should be a simple touch/click ends up making you want to give up. CONSTANTLY shows the same message everytime you move from one place to the next. Yeah....you collect info...I get it! Stop showing me that 6 times when Im already frustrated. And keep track of the food purchases. I should have had 3 or 4 free bags by now but it doesnt track.

App is very unresponsive, search and filter features are both hit or miss. I found using the barcode scanner the most useful. Making an order was about as annoying as ever though for in store orders. So if you want to make a quick order for later it would probably be easier and much less stress to go actually pick it up at your local store yourself.

As a former programmer I can say this is a crummy app. It doesnt remember you. You have to scroll through tons of items to get what you want because after adding filters it ends up freezing. The "place order" page is arranged poorly. It took 5 times before I saw the small line at the top where it said "add new shipping address". That normally comes up as a full page, on web sites, as soon as you place an order. I kept wondering why I couldn't place my order. It's just poorly designed.

Extremely slow loading, lags with just about every selection. When I try to return to a category I'm shopping in, I have to back all the way out of the store to get back in. Don't even get me started on trying to butly something, it barely registers typing. The search filters barely work. When I select same day delivery, it still shows products that cannot be delivered same day despite them being tagged for it or not. Fix your app.

If I could rate this a zero I would. I have never been able to open the Petco app and use it. I click on accounts and it crashes. When I was able to sign in, it refreshes immediately and tries to have me sign in again. I want to redeem my free bag of food and I can't because I can even use the app. I tried to contact their customer service and never received a response. Very inconvenient considering Petco is my go-to for all my cat's needs.

The app and rewards program feel as if they are designed to keep you from rewards and just gather your inform. Have been buying the same food for years and was told to download the app to get the eighth bag free. I did that and never saw a free bag only to find out from the very helpful cashier that after installing the app you need to activate the reward. This is an extremely unfriendly way to manage a rewards program. It should be easy, automatic, and feel.... Rewarding. This feels like a con.

Love the app. Shows all my food buying as it is linked with my phone number. Even shows when they had their last grooming visit. I can even price match while I am shopping with the online price. Just wish I could link it to my pets vaccine history to keep it all in one place. Sometimes the online shopping gets glitchy but no major issues.

Problematic. Many items apparently are not available for delivery, instead forcing you to select a nearby location for free pickup, which defeats the entire point of ordering via the app when you specifically need delivery vs. in-store pickup. Also, checking out with PayPal results in the app not completing the PayPal payment process (you can log in to PayPal, but when it returns you to Petco, the app refuses to complete the transaction.

Server is constantly experiencing issues which results in getting locked out of accounts, having to reset passwords, and continually having to contact their CS department. Yet, they never have any answers they can provide. Only that it's a network issue on their end.

It's easier to keep track of rewards but I hate that whenever I'm trying to add a photo of my pet, it rotates it in whatever direction it wants. It really likes to turn them sideways or upside down. I've even tried rotating them before I upload and it's still turns them in some weird direction.

I don't usually write reviews. But this is the worst app. Takes forever to order anything. Get odd error messages that don't mske sense. Can't change date on auto deliveries so you just have to add anotherauto delivery. Now I hsve to call again and cancel. Put in cart at one price, but has wrong address. If you change address price goes up. Cannot remove pets after they die. I could go on.

App wants location permission all the time and if you don't allow it there is an issue adding items to your cart. They get added but it looks like they don't. You get stuck in this circle where the app insists on f/t location access. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

Slow, very challenging. All I want is fish food and the app kept sending me to the wrong store. Then when I selected the store, I filtered my selection to pick up in store. Selected food, labeled as available! Tried to add to cart (made me choose the store AGAIN), then said that store didn't have it! Lost 30 min of my life to trying to order 3 cans of fish food....

App is very slow/lags. It crashed on me x3 saying that the site was under "maintenance". Unlike most sites/apps, there was no notification on the home screen stating that there was mainance being completed. It was annoying to place my order.

This app is terrible. My main issue that's led me to rate the app is the fact that I cannot add my card info to purchase anything, I've tried restarting my phone, deleting and reinstalling the app, and different cards. You are better off using the website.

I ordered two items and only one got delivered I don't know where the other item went. The second item was delivered a little late but i am glad it a least came. The app is easy to use when i don't have enough time to get and item I go to the app and order them items needed.

Seems to work okay, but needing to download an app in order to get any rewards from the program I'm already enrolled in is pretty scummy. Also I'm pretty sure constantly badgering me for location permissions for an app that does not require them to function is against Play Store policy.

My negative review has been deleted twice which I'm not happy about. I will be taking a screenshot this time and I will report this if it happens again. There are pricing issues with the app. Make sure check the cart subtotal, promotions, Vital Care reward discounts, Pals Reward discounts, sales, etc are all applied correctly and you are charged properly before placing order.

App works great until you earn your reward. I've earned a free dog grooming and a free bag of food that t he app won't allow me to redeem. Fortunately, the groomer and I had actually talked about the reward when I dropped my dog off that day. I thought it was a glitch and hoped it would be fixed. Now, a month later, I'm ready to redeem my free bag of food as I've made all the required purchases and i continually get an error that says "Ruh roh looks like something went wrong, try again later".

I'm extremely frustrated. I have been emailing customer service back and forth because the app won't give me credit for two grooming sessions and I have done EVERYTHING they said and nothing has worked. I sent them proof they asked for and nothing. This has gone on for over a month now. Updated app, deleted app, ensured I only have one account, added, deleted, re-added pal rewards number and nothing. I'm ready to just drop this place entirely. I spend WAY TOO MUCH MONEY here anyway.

Difficult to navigate and every screen reminds me that it wants location access (which I'm not going to allow). I know where my local Petco store is, and the staff will know when I arrive because I will be there. I like being able to schedule my grooming appointments but this app is trying to control me and my shopping experience to the point that the promise of a free grooming appointment or free bag of food is not worth it. More trouble than it's worth.

Website is awful. Complete and utter waste of time trying to complete orders and receive earned discounts. Customer service is helpful, but even after Uninstall/reinstall process as well as shutting down phone etc. There are still APP issues. Not worth the time wasted to save a few bucks.

Used be quick and painless using the app, now it's a nightmare and bigger hassle then what it's worth. Constantly signs me out, when I am signed in everything is an error. I'm never even sure the store gets my order anymore as it takes hours til I hear anything, then it's usually out of stock even tho it said in stock when I ordered.

Worst app I have. It used to work, then it got updated a while ago and now it will not login, and because of how it continually fails, it locks my account and makes it to where I can't login on the website as well. Piece of garbage.

So buggy, it doesn't show the items available when I check to only pick up in store. I had to log in like 25 times in order to check out and once lost the entire cart of things I added.

When shopping in the app it's not always easy to tell if the items you are looking at are available in your local store. The app kept asking for location permission repeatedly even after I gave it and it was difficult to find a way to move past that. I love the store and the staff there so I will continue to shop in person but it would be great to save time using the app if it was a little bit more user friendly.

Horrible experience on this app. I found an item they listed for a discounted price and ordered it. 30 mins. later they cancel the order and want the full price.

Great when it works, but when it logs in/out repeatly/randomly, being able to find what I want doesn't matter anymore. I do wish there was related products at the bottom, in addition to the recently viewed. It is fairly easy to navigate, but it glitches when adjusting filters, which make it seem like it's not working. I don't like that it requires me to save the card info in order to pay.

Honestly, this app is infuriating. When I try to use the app, it locks up and never gets past the opening screen. Even worse, when I try to go to the website afterwards, it always tells me my account is locked for an hour after too many log in attempts. The app is repeatedly trying to log in and can't, and on mobile, when I go to the website, I'm automatically redirected to the app, which causes the login loop. It's a vicious cycle and makes for an awful experience with Petco as a whole.
