Petharbor: Find a Shelter Pet
Petharbor.com is a national database of lost, found, and adoptable pets. Most of our animal records update every hour directly from the animal shelters themselves. We only list animals from animal shelters, humane societies, SPCAs, and registered 501(c)3 (nonprofit) rescue organizations. We do not list animals from breeders.
Now you can browse adoptable, lost, and found pets in your area from the comfort of your smartphone or tablet! PetHarbor Mobile uses your geographic location to locate animals near you.
You will receive the same results and have the same search functionality that you would using the web version of PetHarbor but optimized for mobile devices!
You can easily look for your lost dog, lost cat, or other animals (such as lost birds, lost small animals, and lost reptiles, etc.). You can search through the shelter listings and public listings for found dogs, found cats, and other animals (such as found birds, found small animals, and found reptiles, etc.)
We also list adoptable dogs, adoptable cats, and adoptable others (such as adoptable birds, adoptable ferrets, adoptable reptiles, adoptable horses, etc.). So download our app to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, or adopt other animals from your local shelter, rescue, or ASPCA.

It would be a great help to be able to search animal ID #'s from the App, instead of having to go to the website. Also, other options of searching shelters & rescues, aside from just a zip code? Thank you!!
It defaults to a 20 mile radius but when you try to refine your search it shows nothing. I've uninstalled and I'll stick with the website.
the best for both searching posting lost and found as well as looking for available animals to adopt basically the only app i am aware of that allows to search for adoptable pets listed from all shelters and services in chosen area love it so helpful as well if looking fir lost pet by allowing search through all area shelters rescues etc
I cant see any pictures of the adoptable pets!! Just a small icon that doesn't open!! Why can't this be updated? I'm using my Android phone.
This app is the perfect place to find your lost pet, or the owner of the lost pet you found. It's also the perfect place to find your next furry family member.
Can't list a found pet in app or on web site. Fix this broken app. If I'm selecting found pet why on Earth send me to a list of adoption centers instead of to where I can list the pet I found? Useless app with a great idea
Helps you find new paw friends or lost paw friends. Sometimes it put nonprofits in the mix which really should be a side option and not first.
Screen goes all white when I press open. So I guess I downloaded a blank app? Now I guess I will uninstall it.. the BLANK SCREEN that is!
Please put a place on the front page, or at least on the search criteria page, to search by a specific pet's NUMBER that was assigned to that pet by the shelter holding them. Thank you.
I use this app daily... And since the update of my Android I no longer get pics on here... Which renders it useless;(
Refining the search for a specific breed didn't bring back accurate results.
It shows a lot of homeless dogs and I appreciate the way they bring these dogs situations to light. Don't shop ADOPT! is my motto.
I love it! I check it all the time for my local shelter. Great way to find a shelter pet.
They were awsome about returning and answering my email. Very resourceful but couldnt help me in my current situation.
Would be nice if it had all the info the website does like the animals bio. But not bad.

I'm not sure if it's my phone or if they really don't have pictures on the dogs for like some of them 68 days 73 days I mean a lot of the dogs don't have pictures and how are they supposed to get home without pictures and I apologize if it's my phone's fault but if it's not somebody doesn't care about their job
When you put in for a specific shelters get you a whole bunch of shelters when you send you an e-mail I only want the shelter's I picked not a whole list of a bunch of other ones this is ridiculous I ask for two shelters not a whole list of another bunch that have nothing to do with what I want
very sad that this many dogs run away from there home but very happy that yall do your best to get them back to there love ones. it's very sad to loose your pet. so sad when you cant find them. very good website to find your love one. Thank you for being there. shannon

Doesn't let me register a Lost pet. Need to go to the main site to do that.
I only found two pages that come on my cell of lost and found.
I used this app to help an elderly friend of mine find a chihuahua to keep her company it works well

I didn't end up getting a dog off here but very nice app, helpful, and I had a pleasant experience as far as all the pictures loading just fine. Great way to see all a shelter dogs in your area, I like the search within a certain radius feature. Easy to use, easy to understand app!
