I have otosclerosis with tinnitus. This app works better than any real hearing aid device that I've used. Using the microphone on the phone, rather than the headset, is genius. The phone then becomes a remote mic that, for example, I can place in the center of the boardroom table during meetings. The slight audio delay is mildly disconcerting, but not enough to lose a star!
It used to work quite well, and now I can't even use noise suppression, even with a subscription. Also, when I attempted to use the volume controls on my phone, it plays this loud voice telling me that my volume is dangerously low, and subsequently adjusts it back up to maximum. Once a great app, now spoiled completely. I'm very disappointed.
Horrible! It would be really great if there were an option to use the headset mic instead of the phone mic. It's ridiculous to think that someone holding their phone is a good idea!! This would only be good for situations where you can leave a phone on a table and pickup what you need to hear. Terrible for anything else! Having to hold the phone means the biggest thing you pick up is noise from your hands touching the mic, which friends out what needs to be heard. Uninstalling and cancelling.
I'm using Galaxy S8. Right now I only have wired headphones to try with this app. With free version, I think it performs really well considering real-time sound. It doesn't lag at all in my case. I also tried 2-3 apps but they have sound lag really bad. For bluetooth headsets, I'll update again if they work the same as wired ones after I receive my order. In my opinion, it would be great if you charge only one time instead of subscription though. For the comment about this app doesn't work, my assumption is, the mic doesn't pick up any sound at all. I had this problem too. In my case, I installed other apps as I mentioned earlier and they might authorize the mic instead of this app. I fixed this issue by uninstalling all other hearing aids apps and completely closed this app. After I open this app again, it works normally. [For now]
Purchased the subscription for noise suppression and boosted sound and it keeps telling me that I need to upgrade still yet when I go to upgrade again it tells me I have already signed up. Yet won't allow me to use the features of the thing I've paid for. It's stupid. I want my goddamn money back...
The app doesn't detect subscriptions whether with free trial or not. It also offers free week subscription if you rated it 5 stars, which I believe again TOC. Otherwise, the app looks fancy but all the premium features I couldn't test
I found the app to be almost worthless. While it did amplify sounds, there was a delay which made it into an echo. Also, the app didn't allow me to suppress my own voice (although there was a setting for that) which, coupled with the delay made the app unusable.
Even with only test mode enabled it's a great app. Almost no lagging in the sound, option are great to choose your cellphone or your head set microphone. Settings is pretty quick and easy to do. Of course having a good headset is a great help.
Perfect for anyone who wants to hear their surroundings clearly, and it's the best thing for any friend or family member who is hard of hearing. I am using this app since last 4 or 5 years. It's amazing how simply it does it's job in a great UI environment.
I highly recommend this application, but only problem I have found is with certain phones the hearing aid application isn't near loud enough for me to hear, sometimes I have to use a volume booster with it just have a normal conversation with people, so I say again the application is nice depending on what type of phone you have!!!!!
This app is a piece of .... junk. Read all the one-starred reviews, they all say the same. This app has a 1/4 second delay in processing the sound, creating an UNGODLY ECHO, which makes it TOTALLY USELESS ! They require you to buy a subscription before you can even try it out! $ 64.99. NON-REFUNDABLE ! Get this: GOOGLE refuses to refund my money. This is a SCAM, and Google is unwittingly a part of it.
Far from useless, but low quality. I tried it in a pinch while waiting for wet hearing aids to dry. The trial's sound quality is below that of a good phone call. Would the Premium version be better? I'll never know b/c the trial on my Note 9 is bad enough to go no further. Default mic and wired ear buds are best quality sound, but still like listening to a TV down the hall (or in the next apartment) while standing in a deep hole. Poor echo suppression. Using the headset mic was even worse.
Actually works better than prescription hearing aids. It cancels out background noise and doesn't have that static sound with most hearing aids. Only issue is you hear the sound a second behind actual sound, but thats still pretty good. also works with phone screen off so its not a nuisance at the movies.
Excellent for people with hearing impairments and needing assistance to hear. I would highly recommend and works the best out of all of the ones I've tried. Great work from this dev team. Tried emailing the team 2 times for my free month with my rating screenshot submitted. They are just ignoring me and not fulfilling their promise. I'll give it a few more days and if not I'll just say adios to this app as they can't keep their deals. Hope you are a respectful company...
It is a good app in a pinch when the battery on your regular hearing aid does, but the android system has too long a lstency for it to actually replace a hearing aid. For some reason the IOS doesn't have this latency problem. Its something for Google to address in one of their upgrades.
Offers free 7 day trial but app doesn't recognise it, so it's basically useless. It's olny purpose seems to be to try to get me to pay a subscription fee. It doesn't even try to offer anything else.
Useless - doesn't work with wired earbuds plus VERY EXPENSIVE! Tried using a pair of expensive Monster Turbine Pro IEMs. Zero output to them, just to speaker (maybe). EVERTHING is behind a pay wall. Cheapest is about £55 a year but you have to sign up to a subscription to get the 7 day free trial - NO. If you want to sell such an expensive subscription App you need to give a free trial period with no commitment. You might have a brilliant App. Unfortunately I, and most others, will never know!
Paid the full amount for the year, and still it shows to subscribe again. When I tried to contact them, they told me that they cant do anything, so just use the free version as subscription is scam
I am going to share some observations for everyone's help that if you are not being able to use your Bluetooth headphones microphone try this trick : switch to headphones mic mode, using the slider in home screen then just turn on and off airoplane mode of your android device, it will now work with your headsets mic. I also request the app development team to check this bug and resolve for the betterment of the app. The self voice cancellation slider will only work with headphones mic enabled
Just started using the app it's the simplest to use and so fare I like it just a few things like being able to adjust the frequency and the sound level at the same time instead of having to go back out of setting to do so or go into setting....
Apparently doesn't work with Bluetooth. Was going to try with bone conductive headphones. The app's hearing test stated my hearing was "normal", but I am deaf in one ear ! ( plugged in some standard headphones to get anything to work ) It kept sending the notes to the wrong ear ( " Testing left ear " ....but the notes play in the right ear. ) I quickly pressed the free trial button to see if I could get the app to do anything, and now I fear they have ( or will charge me ) DELETING
I have hearing loss in my right ear and with this app I can hear better such as my TV as well as other sounds. For instance I can hear my partner in our bedroom when she is cleaning watching TV etc. Overall really great app and would reccomend if you've got trouble hearing to use this app or if you just wanna amp UP the surrounding sounds really great app
Did not try all features, yet found very good. Had a little trouble to come back to the hearing aid mode after receiving a phone call. I mean I had to touch to reactivate. Otherwise found it very cool. Thanks the team.
It has a definite time delay of 2-3secs. But the sound quality is pretty good, and so is the test I think. It's jus the 3sec delay is a deal breaker.
I lost my hearing a week ago. This app I tried today and it started working. Did the profiles. Stopped working, when needing to perform other phone functions. Created second profile (which seems to be the max before having to pay) it started working again then stopped when again started different functions. Now I can't get it to work again. Frustrating at best.
Great works with my Bluetooth headset I like the different environment settings and it will cut out pitches you can already hear like the dump truck in the parking lot right now I can hear the engine rumble and it begins to transmit the back up alarm only for 1.5 seconds and fades it out with the tone filter this is my 6th app and this is the only one I've found that actually works highly recommend it
A little bit easier to navigate than other apps and this one is fully legit. Wish the FAQs we're a little more clear in putting info across and I haven't found any where for support but digging the app. As my hearing loss is very significant I use to be a heavy machine gunner in the military. Ma Duce 50 Cal.
My quality of life has taken a hugh downturn. I used to have hearing aids and I really miss having them because now either I feel lost, confused, or even left out not being able to hear. When I do ask someone to repeat themselves I feel like it's bothersome. I'm excited to try this app so far with the free version the test results were right on spot. The software adjustments after testing seem appropriate but may need a little more tweaking to refine some tones/echoes/playback delay.
