A great app, especially in the UK. Only problem is (I assume) it relies on people inputting prices, but I'm sure it will become more popular and therfore more accurate! Another note, it isn't obvious that you can increase the search area. Only shows a 5 mile area by default, yet I'd happily drive 10 miles. Another note, the directions button is bugged. Some don't load at all, and some others give directions to the completely wrong garage in a totally wrong area!

This is a very useful app. I've been receiving their email alerts for years, but just downloaded the app the other day. One thing I'd say is missing, is the ability to search an area using the map. The map will show prices near you, or prices near an area that you've typed in, but it would be good to have a 'Search This Area' button on the map screen that allows you to view fuel prices in the viewed area.

I like this app. However be great if when using map I could scroll and prices then appear. Especially when setting up route for traveling, then I can programme what stations to stop at. Instead of having to find out postcode or area then a list to scroll through. It also very slow on adding data, I've tried & it doesn't seem to progress or acknowledge data gone through.

Only as good as the data. This app is a great idea and I've used the website for years. Just downloaded the map app, but there are a lot of gaps and places where premium fuel is shown at the same price as ordinary fuel. I suppose I'd better get adding my contributions to help improve the data. Would be useful if the data moved when scrolling the map. I want to see prices where I live and where I'm travelling to so I can decide before setting off which is the best option for filling up.

Used to be good, but now unreliable I am trying to be more active on here, as I truly believed the concept is brilliant. The past few times Ive tried to open the app, it tells me there's a network error and won't load any info or my account. I can't update prices. Android (fully up to date). I've tried to update on the website, but it's not possible.

For some time now I can't get into this app....just when I need it most. Just comes up with a waiting circle under the log in panels which never ends. Same if trying to register. Have cleared down data and cache, uninstalled and installed....no different. Any ideas ? Update:- Tried all the above actions yet again just now and ....it worked ! I'm in again. So either something magical happened or giving the app 1 star led to a "fix". Editing to 4 now.

Great informational applìcation, saving you money by keeping you up to date with actual running costs. I recommend it to all of my friends and family. It would be more up-to-date if somehow whenever a station changes it prices it automatically changes on the app. I'm not a programmer so not sure how it would be done, it would take out human error.

This apps accuracy is reliant on its users updating prices correctly. Therefore, the app can't be blamed if the prices are out of date or someone has intentionally input wrong ones. With that in mind, I have found this extremely useful, especially with rising and fluctuating fuel prices.

Really bad app, with a few simple changes could be so good. The app doesn't save your search history. Every time you go on it you have to search again, which is annoying. It only shows you the petrol stations in list view, not map view. You can't set a favourite station, or input data such as where you would like to go, and therefore how cost effective it is to visit a station that is cheaper but well out your way.All these things could make it so good, but this app is slow, shabby and useless.

This new version of the app is simply not ready. There is no map view. The prices for diesel in my area are very spotty, including no data for my local Shell - I don't know if you've ended your contract with your data supplier and are moving to only crowdsourced data, but if so that is a huge step backwards. The back button doesn't work. I can't scroll the profile page. Transitions between screens are jarring, and there is a dark flash each time!

This used to be a very useful app, but since the removal of the map feature (along with several other handy tools) and the addition of a leaderboard, which serves absolutely no purpose (this is a fuel price app, not a game, what on Earth is a leaderboard for!?) I have decided to uninstall. I have recommended to friends and family that they do the same. Poor show, PetrolPrices, you've sacrificed the great user experience for the sake of getting an update to market faster.

This app used to be excellent, but since the last update it's lost the map feature (which is key, because often I'm looking for the cheapest fuel on or near my route). Such a shame, also the new interface is tricky to navigate (eg to change the search radius you have to click on sort!). Update: I see you are working on adding the map feature, can't wait to revise my review to 5* when you do 😀!

Back to being a very useful app! I have used this app for a long time and a little while ago the app was rewritten and as a result became next to useless and I posted a 2 star review. There's been a real rebuild and from a user's point of view it almost looks like a completely new app. Maps are back, choice of fuel defaults are back and it seems like it's going to be great again. The reason for 4 stars, I'm getting a message saying "Error, the server didn't respond..." an easy fix I'm sure.

Can't register. "Internal server error" every time, even on a desktop PC. UPDATE - It did register, although I got no notification. A password reminder sorted it out. Please tell the developer that this "Internal server error" occurs if a user tries to register more than once - this is a clear bug. There should be a message saying the user has already registered. Thanks.

Think this app is great in theory, and mostly in practice. However, perhaps due to relying on users to update prices, these can sometimes be wrong or inaccurate. Also, the directions link you click when you've found your station often doesn't work. Most frustrating of all is that despite signing up, I am still asked to sign in every time I open the app. I am hopeful for the potential the app has!

I've re-installed this App as it has reintroduced the Map feature. The Map is essential for easy functional use. It's still more complicated than it used to be, you have to keep putting in fuel type every time you use it. It also doesn't open with the map immediately. Complicated to open an Account so you can update fuel prices too. I thank the Developer for letting me know the Map was back though!

I am so disappointed with this new update!! the Original was perfect! There was no reason to change anything! I was using this app for years and now i just feel like deleting it because it isn't really doing what it's supposed to. For example I want to find super unleaded petrol but it's long winded and complicated and when i thought i figured it out well it was just a waste of time. Please go back to the Old version it was easy simple and quick! you've just wasted your time changing this!!

Not liking this new app version, it takes longer to load (I have a pretty speedy phone; Moto G7 Plus), the homepage contains additional content (leaderboard, garage, explore) which I will not be using, and annoyingly defaults to the explore rather than prices tab; I already miss the previous app version. Disappointed that the map function has disappeared but acknowledge that it is a coding/bug problem. This is the only free petrol price app that I am aware of, so I will continue to use it.

Not close to the old version. Slow to start-up and response and *regularly 'forgets' the login requiring to sign in again* (usually at an inopportune moment). Slack and annoying. And it gives the screen that ultimately you require (petrol price lookup) the 4th option instead of the default giving games and fun ('leader board' and competition) more priority. The clue to the choice of the people and what they want is in the title of the app. "Petrol Prices" (not 'get more points'). Needs work.

Absolute Junk it just doesn't work after inputting all the details it requested it did absolutely nothing. This app has been around for sometime and I've always been attracted too it. I've tried installing it on both Samsung and Apple devices and it just doesn't work. Before I decided to write a bad review I tried to contact the developer for a fix, but the postmaster general always advises that the email is undeliverable. Hence this bad review, my advice is don't bother with this it's a waste of time, UNINSTALLED on all my devices unfortunately it could've been so useful.
