PetScanner - Find.Scan.Reunite.

Had very limited success with the wired scanner as it would only work on one of my devices but cannot fault customer service for trying to get me up and running on all devices . However, I have just received the Bluetooth scanner and it is excellent! Found my dogs chips very quickly and transferred the data to the app. First class, easily portable scanner that does exactly what it says it does.

Works amazingly, really nice to use on animals scared of objects and thinks your just going to pet them! I carry my scanner everywhere! Its nice and compact! The app is easy to use with no hassle! The app itself is not the "scanner ", it is only the program needed to use the actual scanner. I highly suggest reading the description of this app before downloading and then leaving a terrible review because you didn't read. The makers of this lovely app and scanner are amazing life savers and will go so much farther! The scanner is able to scan all types of microchips too! Unlike the common Halo scanner that has limitations, bulky, and expensive!

I held out and bought the Bluetooth scanner as I wanted one to work with any phone I have. The app is great. The scanner is good, found my chips no problem. A little slower than my other scanners, but that's because it scans the databases to find registration at the time, rather than having to go online after scanning and use chip checker site. Great for keeping in the car, as I'm a volunteer with a rescue. Recommend this scanner and app.

At first I was impressed, but... I purchased a device through their store. The next day, I stopped being able to log into the app. No "bad password", no other information. Just "unable to log you in" error repeatedly. The system let me change the password, but still the same issue. I contacted their support via the webpage. No reply. Finally received the Bluetooth tag scanner, but it is useless since I can't log in. Just before the issue, after signup, I received what were ID scams calls.

Nice idea, and cheap scanner, but effectively useless without a subscription as the database is not going to expand quickly enough otherwise. There should at least be a limited period trial subscription with each scanner sold. I gave it 2 stars because you can at least find the chip number, and so perhaps find out which existing database the chipped animal is registered with.

Brilliant app! I bought the scanner from Amazon (usb c) and downloaded this app. It works faultless. I scanned all my 7 cats, and it gave me the chip numbers and who they are registered with, with the phone numbers to call as well. Cant wait for the bluetooth version, as it reads older chips as well. Also registered my cats with petscanner and customer service is excellent. Highly recommend these guys 👍🏻🙂 superfast response to problems and app updates, if they're notified 🙂👍🏻

As others have said, it works great the first time. Then it never works again. It sends an SMS message to verify the user. Support told me the contracted company only sends the SMS back ONCE. That would be the first time you use it. They said they would TRY to validate my number manually. Why can't it just scan and give me the number??? Strays just don't want to wait around while you get your technology working. Wanted to scan a cat that visits. STILL waiting for this USLESS scanner to work!

I had a few initial problems as I had 4 cats to scan and subscribe but they were all sorted very quickly with help directly from the developers. I would definitely recommend this app just make sure you have the scanner as your phone can't scan the microchips on its own.

this app worked flawlessly in obtaining my cats microchip number, that's three cats, the only negative is when putting date of birth, its very fiddly having to scroll through the years would be much better with an option to input it manually, other than that excellent product. THANK YOU EXCELLENT

Great item, (you do need to purchase a scanner £9.99) Very easy to use and whilst it can't give u contact details of most chips it will allow you to contact chip provider directly so they can contact owner on your behalf. Does need to have your personal details but let's face it WE DO want to know who is scanning our pets. I cannot stress how easy this is to use and how quickly it picks up the chips. 5 stars from me *****

4 dogs with microchips. 2 recognized using the usb scanner. support explained the 2 chips not able to be scanned were old and that format will be supported in their new bluetooth scanner. i will get that one when it is released and then will be very happy.

Works perfect for my needs, I support rescue dogs from Cyprus and didn't want to carry a bulky scanner in my pocket so I took the plunge and ordered this scanner. Downloaded the app and it's perfect, I float backwards and forwards between Cyprus and Germany so do not need access to an online database, I scan the dog and save the chip number then check online databases in the relivent countries. It's a 10 out of 10 from me.

One star. All im getting is. Waiting for permission to access the scanner. What ever that means. Been sat here for 20 mins. UPDATED. 23/06/2021. Just tried it again. It wont even scan my mastiff x and his chip is fairly new, so not likely to have moved. Oh yes I've got 6 pets. It only managed to scan two and yes I've got the scanner, that's why I downloaded the app.

I just downloaded this and I do not see why you need a full address when a phone number is sufficient. I will uninstall. I was looking for an app that can scan for a pets microchip, not one that wants access to all my files, media and photos and my full address. One star because it was needed to post.

Those giving one star you need to buy the £10 scanner to attach to your phone, then go to settings and turn on OTG and now use the scanner and the app. I am a volunteer dog rescuer and local dog lost volunteer this is amazing and even tells you which database the animal is registered to. My cat who we adopted had a chip and was able to contact the company to update her details. This certainly is quicker than using the halo as it searches the databases automatically where as with a halo (five times the price) you have to then type the number into a chip database website and then search. Totally recommended.

Brilliant app, good multipet deals if you wish to subscribe. Love the fact I have this to hand if any lost pets are come across (reason for purchase). If there are any issues, the customer service is very prompt, staff are helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

I've just bought a scanner and downloaded the app for our rescue kennel, so far it's brilliant and if it keeps working it will be invaluable as it is small and just plugs into your phone.

once understanding how it works was very easy to use. Seems well made. Ecellent product for the price. Very helpful responses for help. Highly recommended iPhone version would be very useful

I find it quite strange that this app asks fir permissions to storage and media files. Why? I dont see how having acces to my personal things will make it work. Its a scanner, not a camera. I uninstalled it right after the request was shown!

A set household rate would be my suggestion for protection, with a single animal option as well. Other than that it is a very useful piece of equipment Lost dog radius search is too small at 2.5km ours was 'found' while out working and taken 50km away before the dog warden scanned it. You are missing selling the app to owners that don't buy a scanner you have online registration but it needs flyers in vets. Doesn't register DK & other country's dogs on a database (when they are) confusing

It would be nice if the 99p "pet registration" fee was per household, rather than per animal, as I have 6 cats, but the fact I can scan and identify if a stray is chipped, and if so, who with, is great. Love the price of the scanner itself too.

the chip scanner with usb c was not able to scan my dog chip. however local Vet clinique had same problem with 1 of 2 chip reader she tried. Probably cheap reader version are not so sensitive The app is showing me 2 icons when checking my pet menu but shouldshow only 1.I managed to add my pet with camera bar code scanner. it would be nice if you are able to find other people with same breed for breeding purpose or just to play togheter.

The "quick glance" description is "a pet scanner for your phone". very misleading, especially since nobody reads description. I'm sure it works after paying, because there are reviews saying so. I'll give it 4 stars, because of the misleading intro to the description i will not give 5

The USB C device only cost £10 direct from Petscanner and quickly identified the chips in all four of our pets. I wanted to check the chips were working OK as we have had a chip fail before. There is a monthly charge for registration of your pets but the service is optional.
