There are five VERY different game modes:
*Pandemonium:Some enemies explode when they die, and the other spin maniacally everywhere. Hide from the explosions or deftly go through them.
*Dodge this:As you collect boxes, there are more and more enemies moving around. Naturally, you have to dodge them all.
*Assault:You fight against waves of enemies. Spoiler: at the end, they win and you die.
*Chromatic Conflict (NSF color blinds):Enemies of different color appear. You can only destroy the ones that are the same color as your ship.
*Asteroids:Need I say more?

Now a few notes:-Kill as many background app you can, this can considerably increase the smoothness.-Seriously, kill them all.-On some devices (such as my Nexus One) the touch screen has trouble handling touches on the same horizontal or vertical axis. That is why by default the joysticks are in diagonal. You can try moving the joysticks to the bottom using the settings menu, but it might result in poor controls.-No personal data is sold and there are no ads. I'm really sorry ads-lover.

If you enjoy(ed) Asteroids & were good at it you'll probably like this Ecstasy-fueled version of it. Unfortunately, I sucked at, & hated, Asteroids so PewPew had a very short life on my tablet. I did notice that when stationary the ship will fire 360° w/ red controller, but when moving thru space using yellow controller, the ship fires in only 1 direction regardless of red controller movement or ship direction. If a player can't shoot in the direction they're aiming at then the game is useless.
Not a single reason to not give a full 5 star.... Great captivating music , no ads , and pure retro gameplay, one of the best experience in play store in such a small size .
WOW this game brings back so much nostalgia, and I don't mean nostalgia for the 80s. Like another reviewer, I also first found this game on the BlackBerry playbook; that was 9 years ago! This game has really aged well, it's still the same as it was before. People who say the game is lacking need to realize that this isn't a newly developed game, you're playing a game made in 2011. The dev also stopped updating after 2016. It's a simple game and I like that.
I LOVE the music and the graphics are vibrant and amazing. The point system, the controls and the difficulty is unprecedentedly impossible! Took me all of 5 minutes to realize I wasn't going to get ANYWHERE! I wouldn't recommend and I WILL be uninstalling!
perfectly captures the atmosphere of geowars 2 and other great arcade games, wish pewpew 2 was free looking how cool it looks but i see how much work is in it makes sense. hey, we have this though!

Can you add more game modes? It would make more fun and make me happy, theres just 5 gamemodes, but its ok, so could you please add more gamemodes?
one of my favorite mobile games! I have been playing it since I first found it on the Playbook. I am glad it was ported to android. The games much like asteroids, but more intense and fast-paced.
I think one of the best games to play with controller. Also you can select different types of rendering (Google glasses, 3D)
Simple and challenging game. My problem in the game the sfx gone when playing for minutes in any game modes then only music I hear.
Ah yes, my childhood game. I remember playing this on the BlackBerry Playbook about 10 years ago maybe. I really enjoyed playing this as a kid and today I decided to download it and enjoy it again!

Z3 Moto mods I was very impressed how well it worked with my Moto mod game controller it was very smooth this is a very cool classic retro video game!

Such a cool and nostalgic game like (Asteroids)! Takes me back to them late 70's, early 80's!
I love the game but the global hi scores are hacked to ridiculous numbers. Watch the replays and you'll see.
The most fun thing about this game is quitting when you realize how bad it is. I won't play the sequel due to this one being horrible...but, who knows, maybe you will like it more than I did.

As a geometry wars afficianado I heartily approve of a well built casual fun game like this.
Really good retro style game. Similar to geometry wars. Has elements from classic games like Asteroids, Robotron 2084, & Tempest. Actually has an Asteroids mode, true to the B&W original, not the 2600 color rocks. It's a little hard to start off. There should be difficulty levels. If there is i didn't see them. And especially games like this i wish it supported Google Play Achievements. Almost a perfect 5* game though. If you grew up in the 80s you'll probably like this one
