Totally poor design and useless. I would rather read a paper but us old folks don't get a say in the matter.
4 stars mainly because I can't access the the comment section of the article like you can on the website. I REALLY wish this feature was included, otherwise it does what it is supposed to.
Opened after install and it asked if I wanted PUSH NOTIFICATIONS but did not open keyboard or a box to check to say yes or no. I will delete and try one more time.
How hard is it to hire competent programmers and designers? Do what the TR did and go fully digital if you can't balance print and digital.
App crashes right after opening. Was fine right up to today. Now it's useless.
Push alerts are illegible because they're truncated after the first li...
Even though I miss the feel of the paper in my hands I guess I will have to get used to this.
Much prefer this app to the new PG news slide.
No reader comments attached to articles. Update looks better, but very lacking. Update June 2017 keeps shutting down every time I try to view a saved story. Horrible app Last update October 2019 makes it unusable. It constantly closes down. Very poor app for a major newspaper
Feels outdated. Tells me to log in, but in the login screen the only option is a log-out button. Cleared cache, data, reinstalled, always the same thing. I don't know why I bother paying for a subscription when basic login and subscription management features are non-existent.
Very disappointed with the Post Gazzette's right wing stance of firing long time political satirist cartoonist Rob Rodgers, because he did cartoons of trump. I will no longer support the Post Gazzette's silencing of the U.S. 1st amendment rights and turning it into a soviet union style newspaper. I hope Post Gazzette's subscribers are outrage by this and cancel their subscriptions. I just subscribed to The Incline the local Pittsburgh online news with balanced news❗😕
Can't support the P-G with their inability to air other views and silencing political discourse. I'm deleting the app and will get my Pittsburgh news elsewhere. So sad.
New update from June or July 2017. MAJOR improvement over previous version. Just wish that it had a print option!
Terrible app, always have trouble with pages loading.
I am a paid 7 days per week subscriber which I believe should give me full and unlimited access to content through this app. I am logged in but the app keeps asking me to login again and I cant access content. Very disappointed.
Clunky to use. Slow. Only a few words in the title of the article display.
Subscribe?? I don't think so.
Can not upload the obituaries
Would be nice if it accepted my subscription id and password and quit telling me I have read my quota. PG and ePG android applications are poorly written and poorly maintained, so this is par for the course. Complaints and bad reviews seem to have no effect nor is there ever any feedback from the developers.
The post-gazette had to downgrade their app so it worked again. I would suggest that given the fact that the post-gazette is spending millions of dollars on digital technology, it should invest in an Android phone for its tech support department so that they can test the app before it is released on the unsuspecting Android population. When I called in to complain that the newer app was a POS, the person who answered the phone said that the only thing they could test the app with was an iPhone. Pitiful!
Facebook log-in does not work. Spinner runs continuously. I'm a paid subscriber and cannot use app.
The most recent update gives me push notifications, even with the push notifications unchecked in the settings. Will easily 5 star when fixed
Now I can keep up with my loved ones who live there!
So stop giving them.
Obits r hard to pull up
Still pages notifications even when I say don't
Since update, it crashes on opening. Although clearing data allows it to work, I will cancel my PAID subscription and delete the app.
App crashes every time I try to use it. Have to uninstall and reinstall. Not worth it. I'll read the paper version.
Love this app. Silly thing I wish they had, but something like a check mark when you are done reading an article, like The Athletic Pittsburgh has.
