PH Weather And Earthquakes
A worldwide earthquake list is also available based on data from U.S.G.S (U.S. Geological Survey).
This app was formerly known as PHIVOLCS Earthquake Alerts. The change of the app's name is important because the app now includes weather updates in the Philippines.
Other features include:
- Tsunami and volcanic activity updates.
- Weather update features include 4 hour forecast, 4 day forecast and cyclone updates (typhoon, hurricane, cylcone).
- Monitoring tools like doppler, sensors like stream gauge, rain gauge, tide level and weather station.
- Hazard maps for floods, landslides, storm surges.
- MT Satellite images and videos
- Ovitrap (dengue) reports
- Boundaries map for provincial, municipal and barangay levels
- Critical facilities listing for schools, hospitals, police stations and fire stations nationwide.
- Emergency tools like flashlight, strobe light, siren and compass.
- Twitter updates on government agencies like PAGASA, PHIVOLCS, MMDA, DPWH, NDRRMC and Red Cross.
- Weekly and hourly weather forecasts based on custom searched cities.
The Valley Fault System meanwhile has a visual map section and a download section with links from PHIVOLCS where users can use as reference on where fault lines are located. Both PHIVOLCS Fault Finder and LAVA (Local Active Volcano List) are also integrated.

This app is very helpful and useful for updating earthquakes, situation of volcanoes like taal volcano, tsunami and updates in weather forecast . The app is great and it work fine. Thank you for this app for I know whats happening in ph and worldwide. Recommendly 5 stars thanks.
Had this in my previous mobile, and I just have to download it again. This is a very reliable source of weather and earthquakes. I was surprised about the new look (I remembered it didn't look this way before, but maybe because I changed from ios to android?), but one thing I did noticed, is that I cannot filter magnitudes anymore. Not a deal breaker, but I hope you can fix it though EDIT: Was able to talk to the developer. A very accomodating fellow. Kudos to him and his work! 5 stars indeed!
I am changing my rate from 3 stars to 5 stars, because even though the app is not working on my phone, the seller was kind enough to respond to my emails and showed me several ways to try to fix it and when it still won't work after trying them all, he or she gladly gave me a choice to have my payment for no ads to be refunded, which I will have just requested. I hope to download this again, if I buy a new phone in the near future. It's really hard to find apps that would work with this phone
I just went through this for 10 mins today and all I'm gonna say is wow, this is so compherensive and complete. It has access to the maps and reports themselves (via Twitter). It contains storm, earthquake, tsunami, volcano reports which are essential for knowing what's happening in nature. Hazard maps and moon phases included, and I really love those extra details. Very thoughtful and organized UI. Wonderful work on this app!
I like the application and I felt it even though I didn't know it's intensity .
I'll give four stars for now because there are still some bugs in the app like when you add one city, it'll show two instead of one. However, its a great app and has a lot of potentials. It just need some improvements because some functions are still not working.

This is a super useful app for me as I am in charge of disaster relief. The problem occurred just recently when the local earthquake page no longer displays and shows an error 404 message. Would appreciate if you can fix it asap. Thanks
Great app. I like using when i want an update in calamities and hazards and it is helpful for us civilians. Im gonna recommend this with my friends and fams. May I suggest that you may add feature of a widget so i may not struggle opening it, especifically the utilities when comes of disaster happens.
Hi, This app is brilliant but there seems to be a little trouble after the latest update. I couldn't check local earthquake unlike before. It just says "Page does not exist." I wonder if you can fix this? This is really a huge help and it would be a loss if it won't get fixed. Thank you!
It is nice app, but do not rely on automtic warning....it works for few days, maybe weeks, and then suddenly stops, i did not even realized. After updatw again works, and gin fter somentime does not. Anyway, what has to come, it will come. Good luck!
The app didn't capture last earthquake yet other apps did. The interface is lovely but it doesn't allow filter countries (or tricky to find), nor does it show a map of close earthquakes. It require more work. Good luck 👍
I got this app for a recent trip to the Philippines thinking it was only good for the trip. However it's fully loaded to the point where it's still my main weather app for Japan too. It tells me the low tides, typhoon radar, local weather, earthquakes, pretty much anything you might want to know, in your local area. Awesome app!
Badly need a widget for temperature and weather. Edit: Thanks for considering it. This app is very informative that's why widget is a great feature for the app. It's okay though if it's not possible.
Yeah! Been using for 4 years, really great app! Earthquake and Weather updates are awesome! ! It really gives you a really good idea of the situation of not just PH but around the WORLD happenings, Thanks for putting the NOOA satellite back, Also has alot of other tools, even has NCOV Tracker!!! It's basically an all-in-one app!! Absolutely recommened! Easy to use, BEST App and it's free to use unlike others but do try to support the developer for making such an amazingly useful app.
Would it be possible to have an update where there is a legend box to understand the colors given? Especially to the natural disasters indicated in the hazard hunter and the radar? It would be really helpful. But overall, the app is great. ☺
Having friends and family in the Philippines, California, Israel, Guatemala, Japan, Kuala Lumpur and various other countries, its extremely important to me to be well informed. The problem I have with this app ... When I try to open SETTINGS, it shuts down!!! Please fix this bug! It's very irritating. Otherwise, thank you for this service.
I hope you can use this app without internet connection because we don't know if there's something happens and all connections were down, you can still use this. And i think it's a little bit nice if it has features about what to do when earthquake happens, some tips for safety and protection because i think that's the main goal of this app is to let know people about whats happening, right? It's a good app tho. Will still recommend to my friends.
please fix the weather radar..to show current weather conditions rain and wind etc..will change my rating if fix.. update..you did fix the problem, mentioned to you before, and you tried, did work temporary, until the next typhoon came..then went down again.. can tell now it is going to be very hard, if not impossible, to keep active and see current radar conditions for the philippines.. know you tried still great app weather app for the philippines..
Outstanding app for Philippines. Filled with valuable data. Make sure you look for drop down menus on top of some pages, some pages look blank until you choose the information you are looking for.

It helps and give awareness. But need to understand some of the terminology
I'm very impressed with this app. My filipino wife that's been in my country for nearly 24 years was happy that I found this app showing detailed weather information of what's going on back in her hometown Bohol, Philippines. Some of her family still lives in the Philippines so now I can keep up on what's going on there and let her know if something is important going on there. There's a lot of valuable weather information so that's why I gave this rate a high 5 stars! 😁
Particularly use the satellite weather imagery, the up to the hour earthquake alerts and the daily volcano advisories. Very helpful for Philippine residents
