Retro challenge and retro fun. It's Ernie Cline, so you know it hits all the right buttons for authentic 80's feel. If mobile space games have left you asking when you're going to get to the action, this is the one for you.

Ernest Cline's novel 'Armada' is a nostalgic romp through the 8bit world of the 1980s. Phaëton is a plot element & I was really psyched to find this fun arcade shooter that increases the verisimilitude of the novel. His other book 'Ready Player One' is fantastic as well & is getting the silver screen treatment from none other than Spielberg. Definitely worth the d/l but I recommend reading the book as well to get the most out of it. Thanks Ernest!!!

Love it, loved the book too, but the controls glitch from time to time, losing complete control over aiming, forcing a loss... Seems to happen only when I'm on a flipping roll too!

Phaeton is just amazing! I am reading the book it is based on called Armada by Ernest Cline, so I totally flipped when I saw they made Pheaton (which is a training simulator in the book) into a real game! 5 stars!

Got to love it when one of your favorite books of all time has a game to go along with it. Read 'Armada' by Ernest Cline (also the author of 'Ready Player One'). Both books come highly recommended. :)
