PHEV Watchdog

The PHEV Watchdog App run's on an Android device and that has Bluetooth available.
If you have a location (GPS) this will add location and altitude data, but it is not mandatory in order for the App to work.

You will also need a compatible OBD2 adapter so the App can connect to the OBD2 interface and collect data from the car.

Check the website for a complete list of adapters reported to work with the App.

Use to be better! When the app wasn't even in the store it worked flawlessly. Since there is a paid version, the free version is unrealiable, crashes and disconnects a lot even if my device is a V-LINK (just so that I won't be redirected to see the list of compatible devices). It still is a good informative app regarding some car parameters. The biggest drawback, none of the information is official and recognized by car dealers, not even the paid version.

Works a treat with the transparent blue el-cheapo "ELM 323 Mini" bluetooth adapter I bought from eBay years ago. Two things to note:- 1) The odometer is slightly out, possibly due to the kilometres-to-miles conversion. My car's done just over 47K and the app reads 7 miles light (I think it was 7). 2) If using the app on your phone, the car's hands-free system will fight over the bluetooth connection and kick off the OBD interface. Either tell your phone to "forget" the hands-free system or use a different phone/tablet for the app.

It's free and does the job but has some difficulty keeping connected with Android Auto operating and hands free connected on my Samsung S9. A little more effort on user interface is needed, particularly when trying to access the menu when either connected or not.

Great app that shows you what is happening to you phev's electric systems under the hood. The layout is not the best/most clear in my opinion, but that's a matter of taste. I totally recommend using this app!!

The ads are very distracting when driving and irritating. I wish there was an ad free version. The app is very good.

Update: After the latest version update, the app is working without crashing anymore. The app crashes when starting immediately, on Samsung Galaxy Note 10 plus.

A must have for all Outlander PHEV owners. Full of useful info/trip/battery data. New version had a few bugs but the developer is hands on and got it working again in ASAP.

This app used to work with my bluetooth obd2 connecter. now it doesn't - disconnects after about 2 secs. when the app worked, it was quite useful.

The Ah is not accurate for my vehicle. The app seems to be doing measurements based on 300v charging voltage but the Outlander PHEV is a 336V battery when charged. This seems minor but makes a big difference when looking at the battery percentage degradation.

Good app. More compatibility of devices needed. No tyre pressure measurements. No updates for last 12 months. Still works

great app. but, one time I connected to my vgate2 obd it starts and after my trip for 6 hours it displays only the first 10 min of my trip. I don't know why. I hope this is an isolated case.

Working fine on my Outlander PHEV, the cell scan took forever, but can't fault it for the information it provides. Is there a paid version, minus the add bar?

After your 6-october update, keeps crashing and now not able to connect. Give us an option to update or return to last instalation

Great app for Outlander PHEV owners. Very comprehensive, and for 5 Euros (and up) the paid version is well worth purchasing.

Works fine and very helpful for me to collect information about my trips. I wish it was updated more often

Why does this app ask for access to all my personal photographs and media? NOTE: Thanks for the clarification. I have changed my ratings from 1 star to 5 star. 🌟 😊

Very useful app. I have a '19 model and at the beginning it helped me in pointing out the issue with 13.8 kWh software battery, for this models Mitsubishi made a fix.

Great until latest update which has stopped tbis app working at all. Now just crashes...latest update fixes this issue :)

A must have for Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV owners. Features include State of Charge, Battery Condition, Trip performance. Consumption & Driving Statistics. My recommendation is use the latest Vgate OBD 2.

Can you change the SOH % to calculate from 40Ah as it should, not 38? mine was the first to apply the tripple procedure and now has 40Ah as 100% which has been confirmed by MML.
