Used to love it, now it won't work on my Chromebooks anymore. Can connect to my phone but not Chromebook. Can't confirm when the dongle connects to the app. Update it won't connect to my phone now. And yes it's a new phone on android 12.
So far not good, the only android devices I can connect to is my mobile and my Samsung pad, the Bluetooth Phigolf device is not recognised by my new Sony Bravia TV, or my Samsung TV ( software has been installed on both these devices via the google app store with no problems ) using MSI App Player on my Alien Laptop to install and play Phigolf, but the laptop does not want to connect to the PhiGolf device .... someone really needs to snag test this kit and drop an update, at the moment the software / hardware is awful, I was going to take out a subscription for the WGT Golf Courses but there is no point now :(
I have been reading a lot of negative reviews on this site about how terrible this Phigolf is. I myself simply love it and had no issues in installing the app onto my Galaxy S20 phone. I do wish however that someone could explain how to setup 4 players on WGT App? I paid the $1.99 a month fee to play multiple courses,but I cannot find a way to get more than 1 golfer at a time. And also I wish to change avatars but do not know the secret to that one either. But all in all the game is awesome.
Not even close to accurate yardage. I routinely carry my driver 240 yards, this thing says 150 - 170 yards total. I just hit the 3 iron 95 yards. On the course I can hit a 60⁰ wedge 90 yards. Please fix the ridiculous yardage gaps. I tried playing a round and couldn't carry the driver over a water hazard that was only 100 yards away from the tee.
Just got this, I've opened the app and then at the point of trying to accept the terms and conditions a notice box comes up and says you need to be connected to the internet.. which i am, then the app just closes. I've reset the internet, I've deleted the app and tried again, still not working. Please help. *edit: got it working now from the latest update. customer service was pretty good. not sure how accurate the sensor is, some shots seem a bit off but for what it is it's pretty decent.
Hugely under rated! Annoying to see only a 3.7 rating on this game as it improves all the time and would love to see it grow! It may not be the most accurate but its cheap for what it is and great fun with friends. Would like to see a VS AI mode for practice and have a competitive game on the go without Internet and maybe an online tour mode would be awesome were there's an annual ranking. Sounds of club contact could also be adapted. Overall great game and can't wait for future updates.
Update, have an Samsung s21 5g, when playing against others online had a lot of disconnect issues. Now using my old Samsung 9 seems to have little issues now. Would be nice if the game supported my new phone better. Glad I kept my old phone.😆
Nice bit of kit makes practicing into a net in your back yard more interesting and fun, distances are bit off but most golfer think they can hit further than they think 😂🤣, like have your own personal driving practice range in your own back yard haven't tried it with WGT yet as far as I can tell there a small subscription to pay around £2/m. courses can be downloaded in the app my only gripe is changing the sensor between clubs but it's just a small!! not flight scope or gc2 but works well
Do not waste your money. Biggest disappointment for a xmas present. Load of s**t. WGT app takes you straight into a game so you can't connect to the phigolf app. And getting the phigolf app to work on the tv is also a nightmare.
Update 2022: I just started to utilize a one year subscription to WGT golf. All of these new real courses are at my disposal. Particularly during a pandemic, I really enjoy my PhiGolf at home more everyday.
Can't get the app to work says turn on app Bluetooth permissions which has been done 10 times still can't get it to work. Worst gift purchased!
It crashes (on my Google chromecast) just after it connects to the phigolf sensor. I can't go past "Confirm".
This game was super glitchy and the connection goes in and out constantly on the Bluetooth. You have to get a special adapter to play on a TV and so many of the game features require additional purchase. The connection would go in and out and everything was super delayed making it unplayable. Interesting concept but POOR execution by the company that made this game. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! Not only all that we just missed 30 day return window and only got portion of refund.

Quick setup and playing on my big screen TV. Been having a blast playing WGT. By the end of my first 18 holes I figured out all the nuances of the phi device. I followed their setup and play videos. A few swing error messages, soon realized the pause at the top of my back's wing was causing it. Lots of fun!!
The courses that come w/ Phigolf aren't great. They're very outdated, even for Android, and the physics leave a lot to be desired. WGT looks better, but they hammer you for money at every turn, including a $2/mo sub unless you want to play the same one course over and over. The real bummer is the calculations on distance. I hit over 300 yards in real life, but with accuracy/control issues. In Phigolf it's exactly the opposite. I hit a ton of fairways/greens, but can't break 250 with the driver. It's embarrassing how off it is. I hit a PW 150 in real life. In Phigolf, it's 105. Each club is about 30-50 yards short. Full swings are one thing. You tell the app what club and give it the same full swing...that allows you to eventually dial it in. Even if it's not accurate, at least it's consistent. Chipping/putting are another story. I'll have a 20 ft putt and run it 10 ft past the hole. I'll give the comeback putt slightly less power and it'll go 4 ft. A full SW goes what, 85 yds? Yet a half SW goes like 65-70? It just doesn't make any sense. Their whole distance algorithm needs to be rewritten...by someone other than the person who did this one. It may be enjoyable as a casual party game between drunk friends, but it's far from being anything that you could use to actually improve your real golf game via data analysis or swing practice.
At first, this app wouldn't connect to my samsung galaxy J7, bluetooth kept on searching, and searching...no connection. So i dug up my old samsung galaxy S3. Then it connected right away, and found the phigolf sensor. Apparently, the phigolf sensor, is somewhat picky, and particlur with some phones' bluetooths. The phigolf app is ok, but prefer to use it with the WGT app!!
A few bugs but over all great system
I like it for driver and irons, but chipping and puts are no where near realistic. A put swing between your feet sends the ball over 40 feet. Even worse than tha are chip and wedges. If I swing the club anywhere above my ankle, the ball will go clear over the green, and sand shots, even worse. Can't you just dampen the algorithm down. Make chips, wedges, and sand shots go proportionally less, like 70% less than what it does now. And the same for putts, dampen it down, sent it 50-70% less
Great app and very enjoyable, However I have encountered a problem with connecting to the sensor on my Android box. It seems that because the box does not have gps it will not connect. Is there a way to fix this? I bought the Android box so I could play on my tv. This is a recent problem and everything was working fine when I first installed it.
Really good game, worked fine for a long time but since the last update the aiming lines have been dancing all over the place making it really difficult to aim exactly where you want (especially for putting.) I'm sure this will be sorted soon and I will update to 5 star but untill then I wont be playing because it's too frustrating!
Great purchase and lots of fun. There is only one thing the computer genius needs to do and that is on WGT mode move the address ball banner that takes up the middle of the screen and move to where you can read the greens. It would be better if they did just a small box notification. This is the only issue. Best $250 spent in my opinion.
Reverts to Chinese characters, un-reliable loading. Network of Phigolf is down tonight. Rest of programme really good when it works! Thanks for your response but I can't read Chinese! Here we go again. Unstable front end. Will not accept password I wrote down or get a password reminder. Oh dear. June Has been loading okay recently but the message now says that their 'server terminates without reason'. Must be overloaded.
No connection error for days now. Nothing wrong with my internet with every other app working fine ! Not good enough for a quite expensive piece of kit. Now they're responding in Korean ?! I've used Google translate and it says updating to 3.17 will fix it. I have done this and still get the connection error
Great subscription free fun as long as you don't get a dodgy sensor. Pound them with bug reports if you do. Never ever buy a box with broken seals, saves you a lot of hassle. The app might be sluggish if it stores the data on a slow SD card. Make sure it's stored in faster internal memory for snappiness.
Horrible! I don't know how anyone can rate this app more than one star. I got the club for this app Christmas and have not been able to use it yet because the app won't install. Further, I've gone to the website and left messages and I still haven't gotten a single response. Too bad. I was looking forward to enjoying the experience. Until they work on better customer support, I would recommend staying away from this and sending back the club.
This looks great and feels great quilty but omg it's so hard to get the app to work, works fine on my phone but my tablet has major errors the ball falls though the fairway and won't stop so the game crashes. Can anyone help I am running Android 6 on my tablet which is the latest version !!!
Really enjoying this app some interesting reading on my swing the way the chart shows how my swing comes together is very interesting. Would like to see some added features such as tips on how to improve also a view back available after completing a round just like the practice range would be very beneficial. Looking forward to testing this out using my own clubs as see how the path flight of my ball compares to the sim. Hope to see updates on this app in the future.
