Since I installed the app certain features doesn't work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled app a few times. I even restarted my phone but no luck. Photos at recipes aren't displaying and when I try to go to "Meet the Airfryers" it shows Sorry no network coverage, even though I am connected to Vodacom Wifi or mobile data. My mother and sister are connected in the same way but they can view everything. Tried sending an email as well but no response is received
This app, sadly, is utterly worthless. And it comes from the maker of the very best rated air fryers. None of the videos work. Recipes are poorly written, poorly chosen, not logically arranged, and useful to very few people. None of the instruction pictures are installed for step by step help for the new purchaser of the Philips air fryer. Even the comparison of Philips models does not work. Simply start again, do it right.
No pictures, no videos, no other functionality operational except recipes - which *are* there, but text only. Some recipes are definitely wrong (e.g. brownie recipe - butter is listed twice at 10g and 75g. Which is correct? Both?). Erroneously states I am not connected to network... This app has potential, but overall current version is pitiful. Such a shame. Please fix.
This app does not work. It always says I'm not connected to the network. Their support is non- existent. It sends you in circles. When registering my airfryer and in the drop-dowm menu, I chose my fryer, clicked search, it says equipment not found. Then leaves you hanging at that point with no resolution for getting your equip registered. The airfryer is really good, the rest, not acceptable at all. 😔
Seems like the programmers of this app got the end of their budget and closed their laptops and went home. No photos to polish off what would make a pretty decent recipe book and I'd sure like some photos to go along with the tips and tricks. But apparently that would have been over budget!
I have a Samsung phone and downloaded this app. Unfortunately, I could not get anything to come up. None of the photos or videos would appear. So I had to uninstalled it. ☹ I am not certain if it works better on an Apple phone. I am looking forward to something changing so that it will work better on an Android phone. 😊
Disappointing (& Concerning!) Like other reviewers - says I'm not connected when I am. No pics or videos as a result. Tried uninstalling, reinstalling - same thing. And as another customer said...now I'm worried about the overall quality of the airfryer! Not cool Philips.
The app is not working. Every time I try to go to the "Discover the Philips Airfryers" page it says "network unavailable" and nothing loads despite the fact that I'm on WiFi. I'm assuming for the same reason that none of the images are loading for the recipes.
Useless! I have to comcur with other reviewers. This app requires you to select your airfryer model, but mine (for a brand new airfryer) isn't listed, either! As a result, I can't even get to the actual content on the app. I uninstalled it immediately. Probably won't buy anything else by Phillips!
So far not at all impressed with the app. It asks two questions right off the bat- which airfryer I have and which country I'm in. I have the XXL which isn't listed, and I'm in the US- and the app still gives me cooking temps in celsius instead of farenheit. So that's two strikes but still- I can work with this. Then I get to the recipes. The very first one I look at instructs to marinate raw meat, cook the meat, and then pour the remaining marinade on top of the cooked meat. What the what!
Great app! Over 200 recipes for my model 974x. Original set-up didn't have my model but I found it in settings after app started. Aside from that, the content is excellent as I have only basic cooking skills.
Just would like to say that this app doesn't include my appliance, which is a part of the HD9650 series. I'm not sure why only some appliabces are supported seeing as they're probably all pretty similar.
Images are not visible which is taking away the total charm of this app. This app can be really helpful based on the content it has.. however the internet connectivity issue and images are a turnoff
Bought the airfryer yesterday and downloaded this app to get started. Have no idea what the machine can do as the app does not work at all! Won't let me do anything, constantly says cannot connect to network!? Pile of the proverbial pants.
just another way of advertising , my machine isn't even available as an option , and the recipes are good but what about telling us how to cook the stuff we already cook in a fryer , like frozen french fries i don't care about making fresh french fries i want to now how to cook the frozen one's they fryer is and always will be a way to cook bad for you food quick tell me how to use this thing to cook those foods, 10min to cook french fries is ridiculous , frozen food recipes would be helpful
1. didn't explain properly, how to operate and which button does what 2. The android based application is out dated. hd965.. not available 3. On youtube 3rd party video, the box got some thing like rubber tray but I didn't get inside sealed box 4. there are two rubber cover inside and under the tray, just making me worry due to high temperature operation, one has to keep it or remove it 5. they consider SA buyer inferior therefore the name of our country also not in application list. POOR SHOW
Cannot get anything to come up. Cannot see video, search for recipes limits number of characters to too low an amount. Always says network nor available, i am able to access network on every other App and have full bars.
None of the videos work on this app. Very disappointed since my new air fryer did not come with detailed instructions and pointed me to download this inefficient app. I really wanted to learn about the appliance
Functionality very poor. Bought the XL 9240 a while ago with approx£120 worth of accesories. Only used for basic stuff but now i have time on my hands i thought i would ge more adventurous. i have experienced same problems as other customers. it would appear that the app budget was blown on IOS operating sys and android was an afterthought. Come on Philips get your act together. Remember customer satisfaction.
The app crashes repeatedly upon trying to open it. I have uninstalled and reinstall with the same results. It is currently unusable.
It’s really awesome! I used to cook on my airfryer and this app helps me to understand and improve my cooking skill. Lots of recipes to follow and all are delicious. 😍😋 It turns cooking an art.
Recipes are limited and poorly written by non-English speakers. The app has ineffective filters - I am vegan, as there is no vegan filter and precious few vegan-friendly recipes I tried filtering for vegetarian which then included recipes for lobster and prawns. Since when are shellfish vegetables? I cannot say if the shopping list aspect works as I have been unable to find a recipe I could make.
I can view all the recipes but none of the images are showing. Not very enticing to cook something without seeing the finished product.
Dont have much recipes. Dont remember last search preferences. I am vegetarian and use the filter for that. But everytime I need to set it. Not much recipes from India. I can search more recipes on YouTube than search in this. Just try for some basic veg pizza using half baked readymade pizza base...I did not find it in app!!!!
What a terrible app, nothing works, very disappointing. The only thing that opens is the same 22 recipes that it comes with in the recipe book. I will be uninstalling immediately.
App doesn't work, I have tried several times to reinstall but there are no pictures, no video's nothing like the pictures show, very disappointed as I have just spent a fortune on the airfryer Avance XXL
Just bought the latest Air fryer and you cant even select my model in the app. Receipe don't show any pictures. The machine is self is great but the app is terrible. Might be better for apple users but not android
Same problems as others, tells me I am not connected to a network. Recipes are poorly written, ingredients are vague (need more description than a piece of chocolate), or not commonly known. Very disappointed.
Needs work!! C'mon Philips you guys put out an app for your product and not put the time into it. None of the pictures or videos worked. Disappointed as the app has potential.
The airfrier works great, my family loves it and we wanted to explore more options with it. So with great hopes we downloaded and installed the app, but the app is USELESS. Nothing works, keep saying. "Sorry no network available". How is this possible, when our mobile phones are connected to the Wi-Fi with full signal strength? Interestingly in the household we have Samsungs, iPhones and Sonys, all latest models. I would expect better from the brand PHILLIPS. Make NEW and OPERATIONAL.
