App does what it claims it does. Timer works and different light effect work. Why the 1 star review ? Because the app requires access to my photos, my files, my location and runs I. The background when not used. Sorry developers, that is totally unacceptable and the app has been uninstalled. BLE does not require GPS and neither access to my data.
Cannot use it without having location services turned on. It's Bluetooth and my location is not important yet the app is worthless if you don't share your location. Why does Phillips have the need to see my location, when I turn on the lights or what color sequence floats my boat? I am returning these to the store in exactly 5 days unless they can fix this issue. I'll check back and see if they actually.monitor the feedback.
Lights and app worked fine until you turn them off with the app and then unplug them. Now, my lights are stuck in one pattern and are unable to be controlled by the app.
NO CONNECTION App always shows device but tells you to reset device/application/ and/or outlet source of lights. Which is just a waste of time!
"No device found" without even searching. I can see the lights among Bluetooth devices, but it says "need app for this device" I agreed to all permissions and still could not connect.
Wish there was Alexa skill to allow voice control and use the mic to control music shows since phone times out causing the lights to stop
Shuts off more than it stays on. Really poor design and functionality.
There's no reason why a basic app like this needs access to everything to my phone. Unacceptable.
Coding glitch on the app makes it so that multicolored are white and white are multicolored lights

These are awesome and simple to use.
The app works as it is supposed to; the timer, brightness, and light mode all have run fine. Occasionally the app forgets the decide or the light don't turn on when I want but it's no big deal. I think all the permissions for the app are to access music on your phone and stuff because of the audio feature. Overall, the app works quite well 95% of the time.
