Phoenix | The Bitcoin wallet from the future

Hi, I keep getting a message that my Phoenix has detected a hack attemp. I'm using Android, with Tor enabled. It's updated to the lat version. Could you, please, help? I've tried re-installing. Thanks.

I haven't used it but have seen it in action. It seems to be BY FAR the most straightforward and simple to navigate #Lighting wallet I've seen so far. I REALLY LIKE that's it's a non custodial and gives you the option to add your own node for confirming if you have one running on the BTC network. 👍👏👏

I liked Eclair better. I always feel like I have no control over what this wallet is actually doing with my channels. I don't like it, although it seems to be working.

My favourite Lightning wallet out there! UX and UI is great. Also knowing, that I can recover my sats anytime using another wallet that supports BIP39 is a big bonus. The only thing is the fees, that are okay when making bigger payments but I noticed that each transaction requires at least 10 sats in fees, which defeats the purpose of making transactions below 100 sats

I was not able to receive a payment since app was not open in the foreground, having an option like "wait for payment" would be nice. Also I wish I could set a custom expiry timd for invoices. Otherwise a great job!

great app, nice user interface, easy to get started, you control your keys and no channel headache, i didn't face any problem at all, the only issue is 10+ sats lightning tx fee which is very high in lightning as compared to other wallets

Wanted to show off LN to my non techie friend... And it completely failed. Used Phoenix to Phoenix wallet. "payment fee was below the minimum required by the trampoline node". Why would it fail like that? I had plenty of balance and I'd be happy to pay a fee. But it just failed. Before it was working fine even with smallest amount. Moving my funds and uninstalling.

Often the app offers really nice UX. Sometimes payments are confirmed on Phoenix although they do not confirm on the receiving end (for example OpenNode invoice). Other wallets have no problem paying the same invoices.

Exactly what I needed. Non custodial, plenty of inbound capacity, control over on chain fees. Deals with all the background LN channel management. I spent hours trying to figure out channels, nodes, inbound/outbound capacity and almost gave up on lightning before I found this wallet. Deals with it all for minimal fees and I am still in control of my BTC. Using this wallet makes me feel like LN is about ready for the mainstream.

Great overall experience. Perfect for lightning Network noobs. Get to store your own keys, however cannot open up new channels. Can only connect to ACINQ nodes.

It doesn't work most of the time :( Edit: read below that an upcoming update on LN will address these issues. I will be checking and will revisit my rating if it improves. Edit: updated score to 4 stars, it has improved. Still some UX issues, but it's getting better. Will revisit in the near future.

Non-custodial wallet which allows to recieve sats instantly without a complicated setup. Although it didn't work at first for me. I tried sending money to the wallet a few days later and it worked.

Works perfectly, did not had any problem. It probably works good for non-adversarial users who are actually using it for payment.

Crazy cool experience that really puts all the complicated btc and ln work in the background, creating a simple user experience. Im excited to see how far they take this.

The most convenient Bitcoin & Lightning wallet. Non-custodial, with joined Bitcoin and Lightning balance. And very easy to use! Incredible!

This is as easy and fast as using PayPal or Venmo. However unlike PayPal my balance can never be frozen. My money is always mine. Thanks Phoenix!

Almost the perfect wallet, the only thing this wallet needs is a SegWit compatible address (starting with 1 or 3) to be my go to BTC wallet. Please make this possible.

I don't know anything about the lighting protocol but thanks to this wallet I've been doing instant lightning payments like a pro. Never thought payments could be instant and so so cheap

Perhaps the best non custodial lightning wallet I've used thus far. Very easy to use, works seamlessly with regular Bitcoin addresses as well.

Works amazingly, when it works. Sadly failed to send one payment for a restaurant I was at. Had to fill in the bill with real money.

Very easy to use and to set up, this is a bitcoin wallet for everyone. Highly recommended.

Made it to the launch screen and I agree to the terms and conditions, but neither buttons work for create or recover a wallet. The app is bricked.

Doesn't work at all. Planned on using this wallet for storing my mining profits. Transfer fails every time whenever I try to add money to this wallet from my NiceHash wallet.
