Works really well. Glad for the loudspeaker option for a hearing person to share in the conversation. Surprised it only works over data connection and only if you call using the app - you can't received calls and run the app. This app performs its task almost flawlessly for calls under good conditions but I'll be looking for an app that does not require data connection and can process any audio information.
Great app. I was ready to give up on the dream of voice mail or even a redirect to voice mail. Finally it's here. I find that thus app give me more accuracy than other voice to text phone apps. It's a keeper now. Only two more items on the wish list. Show both sides of conversation in transcript and allow the wait time for redirect to vmail to be configured. The current hard-coded setting is much too long.
It is generally great and it gets 90% of transcription correct. Yet I wish the app can improve with incoming call notification. It is normally just one sound notifying me there is an incoming call. But one can so easily miss it. It would be great if the notification can behave or sound or vibrate like regular incoming phone call notification, which whatsapp / wechat does.
Had previous version. While it looks the same I can no longer figure out how to truly use the bluetooth headset function anymore. Which a real disappointment. Can't even take calls which makes the app simply a remote which is over kill for space on my phone. If the other features will not be returning my hands work just fine for off/on and volume.
It's a pity that phonak have not got a credit plan for 2hr's as I'm sure there are plenty of customer would sign up I find myself that 1hr is not enough and unlimited is miles to much especially when you cannot carry unused minutes over into the following month.
Appears good and easy to use, but number pad shown on screen, on Samsung galaxy s20 5g, is too big for screen display and numbers 1 - 4 do not show for use in dialling numbers!
Pretty bad that no name brands are rated higher than the supposedly top rated apps. I can't even find the good older version V.2.1.0.1684, that first came with my earing aids package in 2017, that worked really good for the far away remote place I live in. When I got a new cellphone in 2019 I had a hard time to get this same version, but I did and it worked fine. Last June I got a new cellphone and couldn't and still can't find that same good older one. The newer one is not what I need
MyCall-to-text does what it's supposed to do impressively. Few mistakes in the transcriptions, which it does quickly. I'd give it 5 stars but for the priceyness of its plans, one of which is needed to transcribe calls that you place to people who do not use myCall-to-text. All calls you receive are transcribed regardless of whether the caller uses the app.
Love how it types what others are saying it helps to understand the words more clearly , however the bluetooth connect did not function as it should, had to use phone as normal , through speaker phone. Other than that it works great. I would definitely recomend it to anyone, hearing impaired or not!
it's not working so it's useless. I had the other person install the app and when I hit the call button it hangs forever in "connecting" status. the other person said they never received any notifications each time I tried to call. I tried without the app to app mode and it is thr same thing. Why is it not calling??
So far I like the app, some of the words don't come through correctly, but I notice if people are slurring or dropping vowels and or endings to words then, no that will not translate correctly. With clear speech it is awesome.
Terrible app - requires buying minutes Google app translates better, faster and no charge. You get a very minimal amount of minutes but have to buy minutes after that. This is a hearing aid company trying to make more money rather than help their customers. Their customer service is terrible !
I haven't tried this yet but to my surprise that you have the gut to charge per month for this app in using this to make or receive calls!!! As a hearing impaired person this crazy! Especially on a fix income.
It works ok but misses some words. However it is just horrible that Phonak is trying to squeeze even more money out of their handicapped hearing aid customers by charging a ridiculous monthly fee to use the app. We should be able to buy the app and then use it with no limits. That's how most apps work and I'm sure someone will do it with this sort of app soon. You should be ashamed of yourselves Phonak.
Entirely poor transcription! The phone keypad in the app doesnt work to navigate menu systems! These issues render it useless to me! Too bad there isnt a zero stars or negative stars rating!
Too expensive for someone who is on limited income. it should be free for people with severe hearing lost like me. I want to be able to use it without have everyone downloading it so it can be free. the other people to download the same app is not an option for me. so I wont be using this software.
This is cute, but not $30/mo cute. Also, 30 min is definitely not enough time to see if it's worth it. Perhaps for someone who cant hear on the phone well at all - it might be worth the $360/year.... Phonak should consider including this subscription with the sale of their $6k hearing aids to perhaps boost their hearing aid sale marketing efforts.
Speech is sometimes weird with silly responses but my disability over phone is more frustrating. I pay for the whole shebang and am supposed to be able to bring up/save transcriptions but have never been able to.
Works really well fir outgoing calls but don't know how to set it up for incoming calls. I like the fact that app is set up with all my other phonak apps
Everyone who is deaf should use this app on their phone. It is remarkably accurate when clear speech is used. In fact everybody should have it so deaf and hard of hearing would be able to talk to everyone and that would be fantastic. So download and install as soon as you can. Definitely a five star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 app!
I like the fact that the words I missed before ar er now typed. My hear is bad.
The app seems to work as it describes. But it cost money to use if both parties don't have the app. That one thing has prevented me from using the app. People who aren't deaf or hard of hearing won't have the app and most won't download it and use it. It needs to be free to use or most won't use it at all.
It worked first time. I could follow a conversation at last. I thought it would be dependent on having Phonak aids but it is not because mine are Starkey aids. Thank you to the developer.
At $10 per month introductory rate seems fair for the quality of transcription. Certainly not worth $30 per month after the initial 3 months.
Doesn't work for incoming calls. Works ok with outgoing calls. For this app to be useful, it must work with both incoming and outgoing calls
The basic concepts of the application is great. However, the microphone pickup needs improvement.
I thought this would help with my conversations through hearing aid. I have the phonak B90 direct.I was able to hear the other person but they could not hear me.It did write hello, hello, hello.I thought it would still work through the built in mic in the hearing aid?.no luck so far.
Not 100% accurate but pretty good for what it is, super helpful since I have auditory processing issues!
Im 10 percent to the good in hearing. phone conversation has been poor and fearful up til now. im smiling. great app! didn't miss a beat.
Glad to see the option to buy pay as you go credit, but the option for incoming calls seems to have vanished. You can click for help on how to get a number but it just opens the play store app! Is this feature gone? It's the feature I wanted.
