Here's what's included:
ADVANCED PHONE AND TABLET LOCATOR:
If your device is close by, you can make it ring - even if it's in silent mode or has the do not disturb setting turned on. If the device is further away, you can get its approximate address. Just say something like "Ask Phone Link to ring my phone" or "Ask Phone Link to find my tablet".
PHONE CALLS:
You can ask Alexa to start a phone call on your phone. It will even turn on your phone's speakerphone if you don't have a Bluetooth connection. Just say something like "Ask phone link to call John Smith".
TEXT MESSAGING:
Phone link can read out and send text messages from many popular apps, including Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, your phone's SMS app, and many others. It is also able to read and reply to messages received in Gmail. It works by monitoring your notifications for incoming messages. This is the same system used by Wear OS and Android Auto. Just say something like "Ask Phone Link to send a text to Jane Doe." or "Ask Phone Link to read my messages."
If supported by your Alexa device, you can optionally have Alexa notify you when you have unread messages. When you see the notification light, just say "Alexa, what did I miss?"
WORKS WITH ECHO AUTO AND IN-CAR SYSTEMS:
Phone Link works with the Echo Auto and in-car systems, providing a safe way to send and receive text messages hands-free.
SUPPORTS FAMILIES AND PARENTAL MONITORING:
You can use phone link with multiple devices in your household. Just include the device's name in your voice command (e.g, "Ask Phone Link to find John's Phone"). Parents can use it to monitor the location of their children as well as the text messages they are receiving.
COMPATIBILITY:
Phone link works with Amazon Echo devices, the Echo Auto, Fire TV, and third party devices and apps such as Ultimate Alexa.
GETTING STARTED:
Install this app and follow the on-screen instructions. You can enable the Alexa skill and link it to your Amazon account within the app.
PRIVACY:
Your privacy is very important. Text messages and contact information are stored on your phone and nowhere else. Even when you ask Alexa to read or send a message, the message is routed between your phone and Alexa device without any storage occurring on our servers.

Without this app I was sending messages on Alexa Echo Auto and it said it was sending the message but it didn't actually do it. Phone Link resolved the issue and I can now send text messages using my default texting app Textra. Thank you for developing Phone Link!!!
Shy a star because whenever you ask Alexa for your notifications, she repeats the name of the app or skill being used first which is a mouthful prior to actually getting around to giving you your notifications. It is redundant. Other than that flaw, it's a pretty useful app when it comes to allowing you to use Alexa enabled devices to send and receive your text messages, emails and other notifications.
So much to do, so much fun! Great app! However, if you have "My Media" set up on your PC, you can always say, "Alexa, open my media and...add same content as used in this app. For example, ALEXA, OPEN MY MEDIA AND PLAY MY 70'S MUSIC PLAYLIST.
Do not get, virus present. Tried to use it, it auto filled my credit card information to "confirm identity" and I had to put in my security code. Next day, I got charged from a shady website that no longer exists. Highly recommend staying away from virtually any app that prompts you to put in credit card info for identity confirmation, especially when it's the first thing they ask.
This looks like just what I've been looking for!! Just one quick question for the developers before I download.... it says it works with fire tv... but will this work with a Amazon fire stick the one that comes with the Alexa voice remote??? Haven't been able to find a app that's like this that does this far.. I'll change it to a 5star rating if so!!!
Intended for a failsafe if you lose your main device it is synced to such as your phone, only have so many uses and commands and uses per month and can do more if you pay. never really a need to pay i imagine as the alexa service is free and this is like an extra or a safety net if you will.
This is a great application. The biggest problem by far is that apps of this type are only relevant by the up take by consumers. This app and many others defeat itself by the requirement for others to download and join in. WHY? I would love to sit at my desk and get Alexa to do all sorts of magical time consuming things, however it's impossible if no one I know,work with,or have to communicate with doesn't have the Alexa app. The question then is,do I dump the app,or keep it for years doing zero
Alexa was working before IDK that Alexa or Google had to be chosen until today so I chose Alexa & now I can't play songs downloaded Amazon music plus a playlist for nothing & downloaded Alexa... recommended in the Google Play. Now it says my phone's not compatible? It was 4 hours ago when I started this. Metro revel 4+ Android HELP
This app does what I need from my phone. Control my lights to ask Alexa a question, updates on sports teamsters playing to anything I need. And no it doesn't cost anything but I'm gonna try the Ultimate Alexa app to see which one I like better, we'll see I guess
Awesome feature. It could use some fixes...maybe able to say less words to get the same place?but still would recommend it. Works great with my Alexa
You're required to sign up for amazon free trial for books to sign in for this app. This is already starting to look bad. You can cancel in 30 days, i don't want to sign up in the first place. This app was a good waste of 15 minutes this morning, that I won't get back this morning.
It is a good app. I don't see much it does more than the original except cost money though or I haven't had to use much other than what the original does. In the even though that I may be needing something the original app doesn't do though I hope I already am ready. I got my fingers picking my nose, I'm sorry the expression is crossed I almost forgot. Be aware this app won't work unless you tie a major credit card to it. 3995 a month is way too expensive for me!!
Full of ads. Asks too many permissions, so much that I found it risky to use. Also, my objective was to use phone as alexa while driving. Didn't see any such feature.
Brilliant if you're using Alexa, everything is synced now so everything in your phone sync's with every device I use, very Handy, just wish it could make the tea.
You get 50 commands free after that you have to.pay. You cannot use it to answer your mobile. If you have the Alexa App on you mobile you can make calls from.an Echo show WITHOUT this App (and far more easily).. I can find my phone by ringing it........So what is the point of this App?
I installed the app and provided Amazon login as requested. The next page didn't do anything and didn't have a link to proceed. Nothing happened when I tapped it.
Did not see any difference between this and Amazon Alexa app. Good app, but not sure of why use? No use case for using instead of Alexa app. Needs to come up with a major difference to justify having both.
BS. Tricked me into subscription and I can't sign in to cancel bc I don't know my username (random & assigned by the app). And there's no option "forgot username". So how do I cancel. I'm very angry about this. And I'm reporting to BBB.
I like the setup but the fact you have to pay after so many commands was really a BIG bummer. Definitely turned off by that factor and deleted the app.
I have to try so many times to put a email and password and so forth and won't work not good for app need to fixs so many things to make it better for people to login to... I will not recommend this app to anyone
Cannot Enable Skill. Junked it. Too many ads. I didn't know Amazon is that poor but trying to make extra money on junk app.

I love this app I just love being able to text friends and just be able to do a lot of things with a free app and you don't even have to have the right kind of phone

This app is an absolute life saver! I haven't had it for long, but it has already saved me a ton of time not having to search for my phone.

I really don't like this experience like this anymore because I loved that so much Phone Link for Alexa I can play games and sing Heart FM for that I can really remembered that for Alexa since I had enough for Alexa and my friends had been fallen apart for me I don't have that for the deal and my life I can do this anymore this time I let down for my friends in class and I'm not Inloved this term for my friend down this time hopefully I can do that for my future
I would not suggest this app. I tried opening the app but it just froze my whole phone and would not do anything for half an hour. (Tried to make this short)
Horrible.. it wants permission to read all text messages. All, or it won't run. And it wants to run constantly in the background, using your entire battery. I won't give any of those permissions. Guess I know what's using my battery even without permission. It doesn't want these things until a month or more in. Uninstalling right away.
