Phonechievements

Phonechievement brings the gaming world achievements to your mobile phone. Using your phone now has a tiny bit of reward. Want a challange? Venture yourself into unlocking the hardcore achievements. There's one for everyone!
Open the app and navigate through the list. Each achievement has a description on how you can unlock it. Want to let everyone know how you master the phone? Share on Facebook or Twitter the unlocked achievements. Just open the app and go to the unlocked achievement and a share button will allow you to do that.

With each update we promise more and exciting new phonechievements and new features. Stay tuned.


* HOW IT WORKS


- The app consists of two main components: The main interface and the background service. The background service performs periodic checks and updates, count data and checks if an achievement has met it's requirements. If so, it will unlock it. The main interface shows the achievements with their progress and allows different operations like sharing on Facebook the unlocked achievements.
- Please note that the progress of an achievement doesn't update instantly. This would drain too much battery. Therefore if for instance you receive an SMS or place a call don't expect that it will be counted immediately. In the background it is counted but in the interface it will be displayed with a small delay (aprox. 1 minute). However if it takes more than 1 minute and it didn't show up it means something malfunctioned and I would appreciate if you reported the issue.


* ONLINE SYNC

Now you can sync your data online. This way you will never lose your unlocked achievements and you can also share them between devices. All you have to do is use the sync option (old android version: press menu key and then Sync / new android versions: use the actionbar sync icon next to the settings one) and chose your Google account. All devices that share that account will be able to sync achievements.Please note that only unlocked achievements and pure counters can be synced (e.g. SMS sent/received count, calls placed/received count, etc.). Achievements that are based on dates, streaks or other any other dependecy CAN NOT be synced at least for now. (e.g. don't call anyone for 24 hours)

For now you can see what has been synced to your profile by going to http://phonechievements.info/profile/inserthereyourusername/ where inserthereyourusername is your google account prefix that you used to sync with (e.g. [email protected]).

Use the Share profile option to share your profile link with almost every service installed on your phone (Mail, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

If anyone wishes to help by providing translations of the app in a foreign language please contact me on the dev email. Spanish, Italian, German, Danish already done.


* IMPORTANT

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU ALWAYS USE THE SYNC OPTION BEFORE DOING AN UPDATE AND ALSO ON A REGULAR BASIS. AFTER YOU UPDATED THE APP IF YOU EXPERIENCE LOSS OF STATS OR ACHIEVEMENTS USE THE SYNC OPTION AGAIN TO RECOVER THEM FROM THE SYNC SERVER.

Phonechievements is designed as an entertainment app. Phonechievements app does not store any confidential data, does not transfer in any way any data used to third party locations.Phonechievements app is not responsible in any way with any damage or inconvenience that might appear by using it.Phonechievements will never share your info with any third party. All data used for unlocking achievements are strictly stored on your mobile phone's internal memory.All permissions that Phonechievements require are strictly used for unlocking achievements and are stored as statistical data (e.g. number of call placed, number of sms received, etc.).
