PhoneGap API w/ jQuery Mobile
All of the current PhoneGap APIs are demonstrated in this app, which uses jQuery Mobile UI Framework. Test drive the PhoneGap JavaScript APIs on your own Android Device.
Mobile Developer Solutions currently offers two tools for developing PhoneGap for Android apps: an Eclipse Plugin and a Cloud Solution. This is the default PhoneGap example app and template for both AppLaud Eclipse Plugin and AppLaud Cloud
- full source code is available.
MDS wrote and maintains this demo app, which is also used for PhoneGap Training. MDS uses the latest versions of PhoneGap (soon-to-be-renamed Cordova) and jQuery Mobile, and provides video and written tutorials to get you up to speed on PhoneGap quickly.
If you feel this app does not perform correctly or look nice on your device, please email a description of the problem or join the support forum. A version of this app using pure CSS is also offered (title: PhoneGap API by MDS).

Emphasis should also be put on making the UI super smooth and fast. Unfortunately, your decision to use jQ Mobile is a poor one because it is slow and clunky in Android's current web view. Performance is crucial these days. Try iScroll instead. iScroll animates the scroll position of a containing element instead of animating the top or left position of an inner element, which makes it perform much better. Try the "Go 2012" app for an gazing example of native-like animation. 5 stars when fixed.
