The app offers a wide range of built-in streaming options: Use Pandora, Deezer, Songza, SiriusXM, play anything from your music library, enjoy songs from DLNA servers on your home network, or choose among thousands of AM/FM/Internet Radio stations and podcasts (ESPN, Radio Disney, BBC to name a few).
The app also handles set-up for your speakers, and gives you full control of volume and speaker selection. Choose one, set up zones, or stream to all of them at once.
Please note that the Phorus app is companion software to the Phorus PS5 Speaker, the Phorus PS1 Speaker, the Phorus PR5 Receiver, the Phorus PR1 Receiver, and other products enabled with Play-Fi technology. It is not intended as a stand-alone audio player.

Good app but still a bit annoying. Favourites should be sorted alphabetically (eg favourite artists). On browsing local twonky server, going up a folder presents a blank screen. And we REALLY need gapless playback. Please!!
App really trying! Look is more modern and the sound quality listing before and while playing improved! 24/192 over FAST wifi still breaks up, dont get! Please fix.
Fantastic update! So much faster to get my media server music playing. The next thing to address should be making the volume button adjustments in smaller steps. I hate having to try and make microscopic movements on the sliders on the screen.
Worst app ever. Makes me wish I had not gotten rid of my cd player. That always worked! Trust me, invest in a great set of wired speakers and a tuner/amp. Wires work, play-fi doesn't.
Got my Polk SB1soundbar to play hifi wifi when no other app would. Shame on Polk Audio Inc. For allowing their apps to be broken for 3 YEARS and despite all the complaints they don't fix but rather make the soundbar app an ad for their newest model! SHAME! SHAME ON POLK AUDIO INC. Playfi is the only method to play the highest quality audio possible on this soundbar as it lacks and hdmi port.
Works just as poorly as every other DTS play-fi. Crashes constantly, disconnects if it's not crashing. The problem is clearly DTS's library, since all of these apps behave the same way.
Great flexibility to control from multiple devices and play multiple speakers. 4 stars because it occasionally disconnects fur no assisted reason.
Newest download will not load stations in Sirius XM radio. Keeps saying no content available. Might load after 15 min. If it does load the app crashes if you change the station. Multiple problem tickets submitted. No reply or updates for months.
The app has been fine and works well, but Amazon Music playlists can't be shuffled, so that's annoying.
Phorus PR5 Play-Fi device does not connect with Spotify Connect when playing recently saved albums in the Spotify account library but able to play album saved before August 2019. Please investigate.
Sirius XM will no longer launch after the last update. Time to finally trash these speakers. They are always crashing and needing updates before I can us them. Owned them for a few years now and not overly impressed Phorus ! ☹️
A most terrible experience trying to set up. After five hours - finally got it.
I like the preset options that let me start my system exactly the way i like it.
Just work great with my Sound System ! its a genius product.
A bad app with faulty software-to-hardware connection at best.
It could not start initial setup for Phorus PS1.

Force closes after last update
Bought two speakers, entered my router's password, but the app connected to only one of them. That's silly. My router only has one password - send it to both speakers. I couldn't connect to the other speaker at all. Minor bug, please fix - the user can't tap the volume bar at the desired point. You must drag the volume from its current position to where you want it to be. Why?
I'll be buying more.

Play-Fi has great sound and the app does well at controlling the Play-Fi devices, but it's sorely lacking in major streaming providers. They need to include Google Play Music and iTunes/Apple Music as well as purchased music on Amazon. How many users actually use KKBox & QQ Music? Their site says it plays Spotify, but that isn't in the app either. UPDATE: I have both definitive and Phorus systems. I discovered that the app that is suggested by Definitive works just as well on the other speakers, handles spotify, and is a cleaner UI
Phorus and Play-Fi by extension is getting better all the time. I've not always been a fan, but now it is so good that I have no complaints.
Add Google play music and get better rating, I've got a definitive technology sound bar and this feature is useless to a lot us. Add more services!

The speakers work and sound great. Easy to network, and use. Amazon Prime Music needs to be able to access your prime library, please. There are a lot of albums saved, and I can't play them. Playlists and stations are a good start, but they also need to be searchable vs scrolling through hundreds of them. Google play music would also be a huge addition.
never get connected or very chopped sound output even wifi router indicated the phorus playfi inside the same network. I have the most updated version of firmware and apps..... However, just found that it may be due to signal strength issue which is not indicated by the apps. Suggest the apps to make warning on the signal strength to user
