The editing functionality is very limited but the app has an excellent collection of filters, effects, frames and collages. I often use the effects to add interest to clip art and icons in presentations and web sites. I took a star off for all the ads. I would happily pay for a pro version to get rid of them.
Love the app! Nice photo enhancement features. Being able to make notes on photos and screenshots is really nice with text or writing with your finger or pen. Sweet![Edit] crop does not work and that is a key function for me. It does not save the cropped image when done is pressed. I left five stars because I like the app, but if that is not corrected I will uninstall.
My previous photo editor started tripping after i SUBSCRIBED. I saw this app and gave it a shot and you should too if you like editing your photos. Its the best in this category (that i've used so far ofcourse but non-the-less, a great editor). Its got lots of variations, adds are ok, and its FREE! Until the variables change: ★★★★★
Yet ANOTHER of those scam Subscription apps...the biggest money-making con EVER! You never actually "own" the app, it's more like "hiring" it, and if an update alters or removes something you like/use a lot, the dev. does not care, as they STILL have all your lovely money...go figure! Also, MANY of the "Effects", etc are not exactly exciting, and results leave a lot to be desired! NOT recommended!!! Uninstalled.
Downloaded and uninstalled a half dozen free apps until I found Photo Effects Pro (app icon says Enjoy Photo). The pre-set painting filters turn photos into unique works of art that make print worthy results. Hope to see the developers continue adding painting effects. I would pay .99 cents for the carnival effect alone. This app made my weekend unforgettable! Wish I could show the results here!
Absolutely hate what you did to this app. You had unique photo styles and great filters to accompany them. You reinvented your app to look and do what every other photo edit app has already been doing. Problem is, your new design is just the base editing tool for countless apps. They offer much more than these basic settings. Very disappointed with the changes. Plus now there is an ad every 3-4 clicks now. This app is just the price of entry tool for most photo edit apps.
Put the text back ,app not as good since so called change, i still see no area for putting text on photos ,try updating again ,or put text where findable ,i found the shadow effect i sometimes use ,but found nothing in effects for text, it used to be under effects I thought ,next X just leave how it was,shouldn't have been so hard 2 find text area
The update removed the only feature I liked about the app -- the mode that made the photo look like art work. I have no use for the app now. I'm not going to uninstall it in case they do another update that restores the feature. I'd pay for the app if they restore that feature.
The app is very good but the ads that pop up inbetween are very annoying. Please let me know if there is a pro version to purchase without ads. The ads appear very frequently and makes it very annoying to work. It's there any paid version?
The best edit app so far...wish it had a few other features but cant complain...still searching but for now I'm in love with it...its only been a few minutes of use but that's all I need to keep my attention its almost listening to a song for me with these apps...I'll be back to let you know in a few months if I'm still in love or if the honeymoon is over...again...so far love it!
I give it a 2 overall. 5 on performance and -3 on the annoying ads that are now 15 seconds compared to 5 when I started it. I CLOSE everything down to avoid their pesky ads. I guess they haven't figured out that if something is not popular, you DON'T triple it!! MORONS
The art effects in particular were brilliant. I found the best result on all of them was achieved if you reduced the opacity of the selected effect by moving the graduation slider down to an intermediate position, so that more of the original image shows through.
This is a nice little app for doing quick edits on photos (I don't do anything fancy :-) ). There are ads when you save but they're short and sweet so no big deal.
It's an amazing app, so many cool tools, for editing your photos, very user friendly, the only thing is too many ads. I hope that the developer would remove them, I would gladly pay for this very useful app
Come man, too many ads. Every 5 actions I got invasive ads. Even if I like the app, it ruins the user experience. Ads are cents. If you want money, just make a premium version. Still the free version must use non-invasive ads.
+ 1 Star it's a really good app and loads of fun to play with. Would be nice to be able to manipulate the frames like you can the background. But all in all very good.

I don't want to even give it a one star rating so here's my true rating of Photo Effects. 👎👎👎👎👎 Addition Too: 👍👍👍👍👍 Photos Effects fixed the problem and the app works great once again. It's hard to see how this app works if after every three moves you make, you have to view a 5 second ad. Worthless.

art effects are brilliant!!! sadly your gallery regular effects are not adjustable. if they were this would be the best app there is.

Hands down it's the best photo app that I found!, It does everything that I needed to do plus more, it's easy to use and there's a lot of choices to enhance pics.

Pop up ads appear just as you click on an effect and you're zoomed off to the ad page. Extremely annoying. Deleting this app.
very refreshing. I picked a photo from my gallery and tried the Art work. The first one I picked was it. I poked around a little to maybe add something more but it was too perfect ! That has never happened before. Great app. I was looking for a frame but couldn't find one, but I barely got started with this clean easy to use tool.
