Photo Frame&Grid Widget

This is my first Android app. Basically I want to replicate the grid-style photo widget from HTC so it can be used by other phones or in AOSP ROM.
I developed the widget and tested it on my HTC Incredible S. If you're interested, please install it in other phones of different brand and screen size. If you encounter any issues, please feel free to report here or give me a PM. Or if you have any request for new features, I'll also consider in future versions.

Been looking for a widget like this for ages. My old Xperia phone had a scrollable photo carousel widget, but it doesn't work on modern Android. This does largely the same thing and a lot more. Could have a better UI and it does have some bugs (adding nested folders doesn't seem to work), but once it is setup it works quite well.
I like it. Pretty good substitute, in stack mode, to the original Sony carrousel however very jerky and thats the first issue. Another one is a missing option to set the stack with the newest on top, that would be handy. Also the settings menu should be more user friendly. Otherwise well done. Thank you
So far this is the best frame that I have come across in the Playstore. I am very happy and had to get the paid version. It has beautiful frames and you can play around with the settings. I like that it lets you choose a particular folder or lets you shuffle all the photos.
I wish there was a way for stack to finish on most recent picture. As it rolls around it makes difficult to pinpoint where the beggining or the end is. A little shaky transition on stack mode. Otherwise brilliant.
This is how you do it. Random pictures from any folder you want, alter interval time, frame size, frame colour, info on/off screen, lots of set up options but keeps it simple. Recommended app.
App is pretty awesome. Add the ability to shuffle photos and I'll add the last star. Edit: Randomize already existed. Just had to change the display order to random. Awesome job!
I really like this widget, and it runs great on newer high powered phones. Would love to see an updated version with thumb nail sizes to match new hi red displays.
Useless without recursion. Not worth it when you have to manually go though hundreds of folders to select them rather than simply selecting the main folder and having it auto select all subfolders
Old but works perfectly on Android 11! The best way to enjoy a pretty stack of photos of your last fun event.
One less star since it's not updated since 2016, but overall does wonders in making random photo albums in your homescreen.
Just what I've been looking for. Works great, although I'd love to see recursive selection as a new feature. Still, thanks for a very good and useful app!

extremely confusing interface makes it basically unusable.
Did not work i would have it on my screen and then it becane red with a x so who gets this app do not it is a wast of time
Must already have a Photo Frame & Grid widget on my phone.. Wouldn't need to download the damn app if I had!

I adore this.
Love it but I'm only giving it 4 stars because it seems like it lags my phone a bit. I am using the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Ever since I got this app, I sometimes get the error message that my UI or Touchwiz stopped responding and have to force close. Other than that, it's perfect, easy to use and customizable. Great app.
I need an app to add a photo widget to my home screen. I downloaded the app to be told I can't use it unless I have photos in my.home screen. Makes no sense. I need to the app to have the photo in the screen.
Great work. Runs on CM14.1 / Nougat with ability to use external SD card. Widget shows up as 4x4, but can be sized after adding it to the home screen (I'm using 4x2). Flawless. Thanks.
App won't start on the Google pixel xl. Constantly stops when trying to add the widget to the home screen with no explanation or way to stop it. Will check again when next updated but until then it's 1 star, don't bother if you have a pixel
Can't find all my pictures in a folder. Statistics shown are different and when I have to select my photos, I can't find them. Ironically, all the photos that I do need on the widget are invisible. I use One Plus 5, upgraded to the latest software.
Great customization options but unstable and lagging even on high spec flagship phones as of 2017
Searching for such app for long. Providing provision for adding video will make it more attractive and better.
It appears too have not been updated in sometime. Should have the ability to zoom on preview, screen rotation and is very slow reloading the pictures in the widget grid.
Finally a well produced, free slideshow widget that actually works and looks nice. Great job.
This makes me so sad because I've been using this app for at least 6 or 7 years. 8t always worked, was simple to set up and wasn't a battery drain. However, now on Android 12, if I set up a widget and leave it for a few hours, it will disappear. The images don't load and I have to go through the process of re-adding the widget to my home screen. It has become tiring. I'd be happy to keep using this app if devs fixed the whole thing...
