I like the app it looks useful but it would be nice if when you change a setting manually... after measuring that the other settings adjust to compensate... even if it is a separate function.
Great meter app and usually my first port of call when shooting. If you could add a calculation of reciprocity failure for long exposures with popular film types it would be perfect!
I understand ads are necessary, but the ads here are incredibly intrusive, noisy and completely devalue the point of using this app. What a shame. Update: Finally bought the damn thing as it is the best light meter app - considering a brand new light meter costs about 150£, this is quite a reasonable deal.
This is the finest light meter app, period. Not only is is seriously accurate, but having the ability to manipulate the exposure and play with different combinations is hughely valuable especially for Large Format and Medium Format photographers. Very impressed.
No exposure calibration/adjustment, so on certain phones its unusable. Changed phone, found out that metering is shot after two rolls was overexposed whole 4 stops. Checked different app readings with pro luxometr, metering on phone is 100% shot to hell. No app fault, but still.
Ads are too aggressive. Bought it though. Essential additions would be an measure button that locks the measurement, even better would be an aggregate measurement mode to take multiple measures and average. Also, it would be useful to be able to preload lens profiles with focal length, min/max aperture, film size. Shooting on Mamiya 645, RB67, and 35mm. Also need to be to lock ISO setting. Typical workflow: Set ISO. Set lens. Measure. If backlight, measure again. Calculate. Shoot. Repeat.
Nags to upgrade almost every tap of the screen. Also, not so good an interface. David Quiles light meter app is more useful and looks like a real world light meter.
This app is perfect. I've used it for my medium format tlr, and as a reliable substitute for old cameras that have lost accuracy in the integral meters. It's spot on 😃
Excellent tool for approximate low light and long exposure analog photography. Allows you to change variables with sliders based on readings obtained with your phone camera.
Seems to work, just not for what i need. I need a histogram to assist in taking flat frames for astrophotography. Just need to see a histogram of a flat frame picture my phone is taking.
Excellent. I use it for my film 3d Realist stereo camera. Very accurate and practical.
Great App I tested wit my DSLR and got better results than its own Program mode (auto) so I started using it wit my Hasselblad film camera 😍
pop ups to remove ads EVERY SINGLE TIME you meter. extremely annoying.
Works. Used with my large format and Hasselblad 500cm. better then wasting film on guesses.
Could be good, but the number of ads makes it useless.
Great for incident light readings and trying out the zone sytem.
useless. hard to use
Works very, very well. It helps figure out the right exposure and shutter speed for available light. Almost exactly what my Sony A7 internal light meter says. If developers could make the numbers larger and easier to read, it would be even better.
By far the best metering app I've used!
One of the best free apps. Very customizable.
Great lightmeter with more options than others. I can recommend it.
Easily my favorite lightmeter app. I originally downloaded this to try against a seperate app. I had grown increasingly frustrated with the other apps largely skeuomorphic design and just overall bad UI. This app really stole the cake, and I had no problem paying for the ad free version. Constant updates and improvements just make it all the better!
fantastic, great updates all the time, wonderful UI
Very happy with the app, easy to use and recent updates to keep on improving.
Loving it .will see results after film development
My light meter broke in iceland and I used this for about half a dozen rolls through my hasselblad. I wash shocked how well it worked! I even did some blue hour long exposures that were over 30 seconds and it nailed the exposure. I'm using a galaxy note 4 so I'm not sure how well it would work on older phones but I couldn't be happier with this free app
Super app for taking along with my 50 year old fodor. One thing I would love to see is a 'lock function where for example the iso (asa) value can be locked, would be great when using analog film. Keep up the good work.
Great app.. very useful But would good to be able to lock multiple settings.. I'm trying use this to select the correct nd filter for a gopro .. which has a fixed aperture of 2.8 and iso set to 100.. I'd like to lock these settings and shutter at around 1/120 so that it shows the correct nd filter to use. Also, what sensor size should be selected for a gopro? I has a sensor size of 1/2.3 inch.. I don't think app has this as an option?
