Google has tried to make this impossible to use without buying it first. First, the only homepage your can have without buying is Google. You can add bookmarks, so I just added duckduckgo and searx and open them from there. The private browsing is very private! If you have it on, it will delete the page you're on if you leave the page you're on even for a second. It takes some time getting accustomed to it, but I really like it now. Update: After a year, still the best.
was working fine 4 free wi adds. Now it seemingly has removed adds n wants me 2 pay 2 use for a yearly subscription. I never choose or wanted a yearly sub. It WAS working perfectly fine. Trying to work out why it's no longer working and NOW wants me to pay sub when I try to activate flash player. This WAS a good alternative for tablet & android devices wanting/needing to run flash etc but it's not working anymore. EDIT: I uninstalled, not waiting for a fix that's probably never coming.
I installed this once some years back, and it didn't handle flash very well. I wanted to see if anything improved since then but some reviews noted that the flash feature is locked behind a paywall... I checked thinking "Oh great, they'll ask for $3 to have the same performance, right?" TRY $20!!! This is an outright scam and should be taken off the store.
Not recommended. Flash "worked", but was almost completely useless eLearning I needed it for. Could not resize the flash frame, so could only see part of the video. Did not bother testing click functionality. The 404 error seems to be caused by the browser requesting https by default even on non secure sites, changing it to http seemed to work. Going to change my password just in case this is a thief app, as others have reported. Major lag, likely running thru / recorded by a server somewhere.
honestly, this app is good enough for what it's used for. And when it ask you if you want to upgrade, you can still choose no and it'll just go back to the flash. Also it has a setting for a arrow like the mouse of a computer, wich is very unique, and helpful. 4 stars, very good job.
I used to love this browser, but now, whenever I try to hit the lightning bolt to turn on flash mode, it tells me to upgrade to premium to remove ads. Don't know why it's doing this now because it worked fine yesterday. I don't want to pay an annual fee just to get rid of ads (I'm sure there's more than that, but I'm fine with the free version) hopefully this gets resolved because I don't want to pay to use the flash mode.
used to be good....will NOT show ads so I can use free..chromebook, desktop mode. This browser used to be good, now it will NOT work unless you buy. It clearly states that you can use free with ads. Well....I click on the lightning and all I get is a buy to upgrade box and I never see ads and therefore never get to use Flash. Im on a Chromebook, lastest update, etc..... It. Does NOT. work.
I used this for one reason, like every one else does, for flash player. I went to enable it in order to play Animal Jam classic, and I need to pay £17.99 JUST so I can use flash player... not only that, its a yearly subscription so you have to pay every year. I'd rather just boot up my old laptop and wait 20 minutes for it to load.
This app used to work but now every time I try to turn flash on it says to upgrade to remove ads. I do not recommend this app. The only way to re-enable flash is to delete all data on the app which is extremely frustrating. edit: App is completely broken now. Keeps saying site unavailable for everything I type including YouTube.
This app is literal garbage. It just randomly deletes your data if you use it. Your tabs, history, all gone. No "recent tabs" option to get them back, either. You also have to PAY to be able to use the flash player. You know, the app's selling point? Yeah, you have to buy a subscription to use it. Absolute. Garbage.
If you're looking for a free flash player, scroll on ahead because this is now just another browser. It USED to let you run flash for free untill they got greedy and made you pay £20 a YEAR to use it. The flash is not even that fast to be honest and I only used it because I couldn't be bothered to look for another one. Guess I'll have to now, huh? You will have a much better time elsewhere.
It used to be good, but with all the adds it's ridiculous, I'm not paying for it I will go back to Chrome it does what I need. Also most of the time website won't load I get an error that says site is no longer available, but I have no problem getting to it with Chrome. uninstalling as its worthless to me now
This to me was number one! I used the free version and it worked great for what i used it for! I could handle the ads and clicking flash each time! Then it changed brower having to use google which i got a error code, i got that figured out! Now i click the flash the upgrade to pro pops up!! So now unable to use the flash unless i pay 26.00 per year!! Now this all started after adobe flash no longer supports google chrome! Now its a scam!!!
Went from 5★ to 1★ the momemt I saw this app hounding its users for money on something that used to be FREE. Reason: Why waste $20 a year on this when I can be using that money for my Nintendo Switch Online? I can easily just use my PC for free instead, so the compared value just isn't as good. I will give the 5★ back on one of the following terms: 1) $20 yearly becomes a $20 one-time payment. 2) yearly sub goes way down. I'm talking around $5 mark, $5.99 if you still wanna push for money.
Since upgrading the app to the premium. Flash player is not working at all. The webpages are asking to activate flash and download flash player. And there are many bugs that are yet to be fixed. I am thinking of uninstalling the app.
flash player does not work. purchased the year premium upgrade since i use the flash often enough, only to have it tell me to change the port number and try again. did all 4 options and even went and uninstalled app restart phone redownload app for it to still not work. would give worse rating if possible.
I already posted a review, but apparently it's gone now? Anyway, it was (keyword: was) a very good app when it was free to use and only had ad support. Since the most recent update made it's most definitively good property locked behind a paywall, it is literal garbage now. Only way I'll download it again is if they revert it back to how it was about 1 year ago, short of that... not even remotely worth it. Now to hunt down a new Flash Player, not going to be easy...
When I click on the lightning bolt to bring up the flash player, it just prompts me to buy the full version. I really liked this app the first time i used it but this stinks. You could at least let us use flash temporarily in the free version.
If I could give 0 Stars I would! I heard about them allover the Internet that Photon web browser with flash player is the best there is so I had to download it because i can only do video visit w/ fiance & Flash is required +i only have & Android phone. I download browser I follow instructions do everything correct and it was a black screen when flash turned on! I tried several things other ppl online says & it doesn't work! + thy charge 17.99 b4 allowed to use it, not even allowed a free trial!
It's a great app. it just don't know why it keeps turning off the flash session. I find the full version a little too expensive. I would buy it for a fixed price but not on annually renewal basis.
Used to be Ad supported, now just tries to force you to buy the £18/year subscription. No mention of this change in the description. Still says you can use flash free with ads, which you can't. Very misleading. No reason to use this browser. Uninstalling.
Why would I ever pay for using flash player like this on mobile? Other people could've made a better version of this browser without the micro - transaction. Even if you want to put the transaction, at least make it cheaper because this browser can literally being rebuilt by other DEVS. Please remove the micro transaction from the app
Absolutely garbage. You have to pay money to get the premium in order to use the flash capabilities that you downloaded the app for. Complete waste of time and space on your phone. I'd go as far to say it's false advertising and should be removed from the app store.
This app actaully allows me to view things I need to that use a flash player on my android phone and even on my Dex platform the only downfall with it is when I am plugged in to the Dex platform it will not go full screen and makes it a bit harder to see the materials being viewed but otherwise it works! Thank you!!!
Honestly, I think it's incredible to see what flash games can achieve. Anyway, on to my opinion about this. It's decent but the main thing I wanted is to play flash games offline. As in locally playing flash games. Don't get me wrong, but I just can't seem to find a way to play flash games locally on my device. unless, there is a way to play offline. If it is possible to play offline, do respond when you can, it would be much obliged. Thank you for taking your time to read this.
It plays flash video sure, but you get such a horrible experience with this browser. *You can't even use fullscreen without paying £20! *Ads cover half the screen in wide video view! *And you need to keep on enabling flash, which is ridiculous... *The controls and address bars keep showing even after selecting to hide them taking even more screen! This Flash Browser is actually just an AD_Viewer the price of this app is also stupid and ridiculous. Find another app...!
The free version worked ok. Had to purchase the latest version, now it doesn't work at all when using the flash player. Photon just closes down. I changed all the settings but nothing worked. Reduced bandwidth, modified mode, port, browser engine. Cleared cache. Have 2 different Android phone and the same thing happens. One phone is running Android 9, the other 6.1.
