Well worth what the price for the app. The best photography planning app out there. It has everything you could possibly hope for and want in a photography app. I love it and I only have the highest praise for the app and those who developed it!

The essential tool for any astrophotography. You're sitting there wondering if you should spend the money. You should. Support and tutorial videos are excellent, and had a bunch of tools for making your shoots easier and better. Do it.

I don't like doing any editing from a phone platform - it's just not intuitive to me and generally speaking most apps are severely limited compared to comparable PC software - but PhotoPills is one of only two that really impress

A fantastic app for planning landscape and nightscape photography! It's well worth the price. Support documents and how to guides are very helpful. The development team was very quick to respond and even fixed a random display issue I encountered with a new phone. I'm not a pro photographer, but Photopills makes me feel like I could be!

From what I've seen this is the best and most developed collection of photographic tools in a single app. The Planner alone is worth the price of admission. The other tools are generally simpler but still very useful. While many of the calculations can be done mentally it's very nice to have the tools for, if no other reason, confirmation in the heat of battle. About the only thing I'd really like is a desktop version of they Planner, at least. It would be much easier on a big screen.

This is a great app. I usually use it on my phone, but it still works great on my old Nexus 7 tablet. This app isn't for the casual photographer. The planner is an amazing tool, but it is also a complex tool that takes time and instruction to understand and master. There are very detailed instruction on their website, and hundreds of video tutorials. My only gripe is minor and that is they want your email address do download their ebooks. Like I said.. very minor gripe.

What an invaluable tool for photographers. It is chocked full of capability, and complete with videos to help you manage it. It single handed helps me to achieve best shots. Every serious photographer should have PhotoPills. Customer support has been incredible, as i had some unique issues with my app and the PhotoPills team were very prompt and patient in helping me quickly resolve. Amazing product and genius tool.

Awesome, but I'd like the custom date to be kept after re-entering the setup menu and not be selected at "Now" automatically as I like to explore different hours in the same day. Besides this, this app is perfect for my astrophotography project.

This is a sophisticated (paid) app that takes time to learn, but its broken down into separate articles depending on what you want to accomplish. The developer is amazing and provides tutorials to walk you through each step. You don't need to know the whole program, just use what you need. I plan on using it for all of my night photography. Thank you!

You can't just go to a map and see where you are and how the sun and moon positions for that place will be that day and night. You have to first make a plan. It's not intuitive and not spontaneous. There is a lot of knowledge in the app, but it fails to make that understandable and accessible. To use the app you need to know just what the app pretends to help you with so you could do without it as well. For the money I had expected more from it, it's mostly based on one USP.

I would do without every other photography app I have before PhotoPills. I use it all. The. Time! The ONLY criticism I have is the DOF calculator doesn't go into macro values and starts just showing 0. This app is a miracle and should be on every photographer's phone.

I love this app, it is well balanced between simplicity and complexity. I haven't learned all its functions yet but it seems that is missing a database to find planets and comets in AR mode, or maybe I couldn't find it. If there were, it would be the ultimate astrophotography app. By now is awesome "just" for 🌞,🌛, Mily way, and meteor showers, plus a series of calculators. Hope they will add those missing things.

Been using PhotoPills for years and LOVE it! Such a powerful tool for such a crazy low price!

I read about this app well over a year ago and just started using it several months ago. I am truly impressed with all of the features and abilities within (still working my way through lots of them). I happened to get shot of the moon over a bridge some time ago and was able to use your app to get me back last night to take some pics again. The planning features were a great help in lining up the shots with the when and the where. Great AR features!! Keep up the great work.

Through my use of the app so far, it's clearly very good. It is well laid out and intuitive, and contains many useful tools to help with planning and on the fly calculations. In comparison with Plan It Pro, the main feature it lacks is a VR mode to visualise the contours and to help clarify if your photographic subject will be blocked, but I gather this feature is on the development roadmap - once in place, this app will be unbeatable! It's great as it is though, and I highly recommend it.

Been looking for a photo app for a while that pretty much does it all. And this is the one. So many wonderful features, especially for landscape photographers. So much of making a good landscape image is about planning and being able to imagine what the shot will look like before you take it. This app contains all the planning tools you'll need to capture your perfect shot. Love the milky way augmented reality. It's a game changer.

Astonishingly useful app. The more I use it, the more amazed I am at the level of detail and functionality (and they add more regularly)! Takes a bit of work to become proficient with it but there are lots of good video tutorials online (for real, you should watch them.) Any effort you put in will be highly rewarded. A "must have" for serious photographers.

Fantastic, but missing weather. I absolutely love this app design, very intuitive, and the amount of tools availble is unlike any other photography app I've tried. So many helpful measurements, and the ability to create shoot plans is so handy. This app would be perfect if it also included a weather forecast, and the ability to create weather/activity tracker parameters (like in the "Weather Underground" app) so you can plan your shoots around when the weather conditions would be perfect.

Great program, it's improved my milky way photography so much! And it has so many other useful tools. They have great YouTube videos. But what I learned is they have great tech help. Had a problem with my AR, found them on Facebook and that I could message them which I did and was able to msg with them about my issue. They were patient and had me go through some tests and was able to figure what the problem was. So impressed! Best $9.99 I ever spent!

As a newcomer to photography, I have been exploring a wide range of useful apps. Some I have downloaded then discarded, but not PhotoPills, which I came across in a photography magazine. PhotoPills is incredible for the amount of information and functionality it contains. You definitely need to subscribe to Outdoor Photography School on YouTube and watch the very well put together tutorials to gain maximum benefit from the app. Worth every penny of the fee for app.

Just installed and tried some plans. It seems that everything works fine. Very impressed with the quantity of functions, the way they fit everything in the interface for usablility. The tutorials are well done and the use becomes more intuitive with the time. Great work, the app brings some fun too. AR is great.

I think it's the best app for photographers in the playstore. Beautiful to use and with the help of the website guides you can take full advantage of every function. AR it's my favorite. Super fast and helpful assistance, I had a hadware problem, the magnetic sensor, and they helped me to identify the cause.

At first I was hesitant to spend this much on an app which I may not use very often. I have to say, once I started using it, it changed my mind. This is one of those apps where every little detail is executed so well. From the planner to the DoF calculator, Photopills makes it super easy to vision, plan and execute the photograph you have in mind. Highly Recommended 5 Stars

This app has so many useful features for photographers. The challenge is learning how to use them all properly! The more I learn about it the more impressed I am. The planning tool is amazing!

Tries to be all things to all people and as a result is needlessly complicated. It also suffers from the same fault as TPE - no offline maps, no ability to download a sector so you cannot use the terrain maps when out of range of a cell tower. Last but not least, that blue layer superimposed on the map after sunset achieves nothing other than reduce readability. It is plain clear that the sun is down from many other indicators, don't be too fancy. Too bad I missed my Play Store refund window.
