Raiffeisen PhotoTAN is an innovative security tool for login and transaction signing in Raiffeisen e-banking. It can be used instead of the security card or SMS-TAN. Raiffeisen e-banking customers can enable PhotoTAN within e-banking ("Einstellungen > Sicherheit > Login"). Instructions can also be found there.
How it works:In this method Raiffeisen e-banking encodes the login and transaction data in a colored mosaic. The mosaic is then photographed from the screen using the built-in camera in your smartphone. The data contained in the mosaic and the associated signing code will be decoded by this app on your phone, and displayed. Due to the unique activation of the PhotoTAN app with a personal key, the mosaic on screen can be decrypted only by the smartphone.
If you are using Raiffeisen Mobile Banking, the PhotoTAN app installed on the same device reads the code in the background, and returns it automatically to the Mobile Banking app.
For this method your smartphone requires no Internet or phone connection.More information can be found on www.raiffeisen.ch/phototan

Last version just opens up a browser to tell me to update the app, which I cant. Apparently im on the newest Version. Help! Edit: tried reinstalling but that doesnt help.
The best PhotoTAN app I ever used, it's fast and works always for me. Thank the devs for making such a nice working app, should be a role model for others :)
Crashes on Android. Was simple and good when it worked. The recommendation to send a screenshot is, well, not very practical as the app disalows screenshots :-) ... Issue: Camera shows color matrix, then stops with unknown error. Android 9.0.6 on OnePlus 3T .... 27.Mai... immernoch defekt...
Used it since years with my smartphone with no problems, but since 3-4 months it does not scan well and I have to use the Phototan unit instead. Hence this de-install & re-install to hopefully fix it.
The previous system with a little card was more convenient and safer, since I could hide the card, while I might loose my phone everywhere. They say it is safer, but cannot explain why. Locking my phone is not an option I can consider.
App has worked well for me in the past. Updating to Android 12 broke it for me. Switching to PhotoTan after login still works but I get an infinite loading screen
Minimalistic, easy to use, but also inconvenient. Verification code must be typed manually. No additional security by finger print.
very useful app. not working on my nokia 5 with android 9 anymore. i don't need the ebanking app. what do i have to do, will there be an upgrade? edit: it was my android problem. just keep scrolling :-)
newest update removed the tan-icon and replaced it with e-banking. where is my tan-scanner now? (i still can open the app through google playstore, just the icon has completely disappeared)
Doesn't work. I can only see a green screen where the camera preview should be.
Very good, but the icon disappeared from the phone screen, so I have to use the app from the app shop
Errrmm dinosaurs may built this app. Does not look very trustworthy for a "banking" app.
In the past I installed the app in an android 5.1.1 but now I can't anymore, did you remove the compatibility?

Since a few months, the app has been slow. Now when it vibrates after scanning the mosaic, there's always a 1- or 2-second delay, which is terribly annoying. The previous version didn't so that. Also, one should be able to use the front camera, in case the other one is broken. Would give 4 stars with the previous speed and 5 stars for the front camera feature.
Easy to use & practical
Latest version is broken again. Instead of seeing my camera, I have a black area in the middle of the screen! Previous version fixed the issue, but latest version is broken (again)! PS: you disabled screenshots in the app, so how should I provide you a screenshot?
