PhotoTime: Golden Hour Calculator

Paid for a lifetime membership. On the app, when I click on the Sun, it shows me the Moon. It's not going back to the 'sun' page when I'm exploring around.

Beautiful & simplistic.. What got me most was the design aesthetic, just lovely;..it has all the cool features too & info..😍

Super simple, super easy, super clear. No clutter, gets right to the point, no ads even in the free version, and the full version is cheap enough that you can just go and buy it. This is basically a weather app orientated around taking photos. It gives you the same information you can get for free from google or... another weather app. However... it's specialized which makes it super convenient. Data are just there, clearly and beautifully presented. Bought it almost immediately. Well worth it.

This is the best companion app if you like to take photos of the dawn and of the sunset. ☀️

An ok app. I tried to like it but the limited functions put me off. Not that I'm complaining, especially when they don't push ads in the free version. But still. . . It seems their target is professional photographers who have shooting schedules and all and who need to be aware of the various hours all the time. Not someone like me who started photography as a hobby and not as a profession that pays. Again, not that the cost is in the regions of an Adobe crapware. It's worth it, if you need it.

Good app, main screen is very aesthetically pleasing and tells me exactly what I need to know. I will say a few small, nitpicky things though, having the settings icon in both the top right and in the left menu panel is a bit redundant. Also The highlighting on the menu panel is a bit inconsistent, as I'll leave the settings menu and be back at the home screen, I'll pull the panel back out and settings will still be highlighted.

This is a simple, efficient sun tracker app. It gives you exactly the info you need without unnecessary fluff. The additional paid features aren't necessary, but do improve the utility of the app. The simple interfere and quick access to relevant information has made it one of my most used photo apps.

This app sent a spam notification about supporting Ukraine. Unrelated spam notifications are not appreciated, removed and will use something else in place of this app.

Excellent easy to use app, helps when planning a photo shoot.

(have yet too test it enough too rate it but you asked for ideas/suggestions, so here goes!) Add interesting photo opportunities into the calendar; for example natural phenomena like meteor showers, eclipses, migration patterns (?) or community events like parades, Arts & Music festivals or other events with potential interesting photographic subject matter would be a wonderful addition!

Love the app and the handy little widget. I've never had a single problem with the app. It's reliable and accurate in telling sunrise/set and golden/blue hours and I use it regularly for photography but also in many other things. I love when an app does what it says it does simply and without hassle. Great app!

Great app! Tells the timing of golden hour, blue hour, sunset and sunrise timing! Bought the weather add-on, but the weather add on wasn't as detailed as I expected. I was unable to see in detail the precipitation for each hour of the day. Only the current hour. But overall, still a fabulous app!

Nice photo tool for your photography needs.

It's Ok but keeps asking me for a rating. I've noticed that after opening the app after connecting to wifi I get prompted for a rating, However, if I never connect to wifi I don't receive the prompt. Other than that seems to do exactly what is says it does. Developer please fix this annoying behaviour and I'll give you more stars. Cheers 👍👍

I just downloaded it and I like the app and upgraded for lifetime access. One issue I'm having is that when I click on the sun/ cloud icon(weather??) the app closes and gives me this message. " Unfortunately Phototime has stopped." I'm not sure why it does that. 2. (added question to post) When I click on that particular icon, what should I see? Thanks for your response, I appreciate it. I'm more cyclist and walker than photographer, so if I'm honest I use the app more for checking if I'll be caught out by failing light than atmospheric shots. It's great for both purposes and so simple to use.

This app is simply superb. This is my go to app for my golden hour, sunset and sunrise shots. I have the widget on my screen. It contins all the info I need. The widget has a nice layout, and is simple to read. Support if you need it, is excellent too, friendly and professional.

The first golden hour without being looked to a 24h clock. Would love to see widget support for this, have the times right on the home screen. An alarm button could be super useful, tick would you like to be reminded or something so you always are informed. Otherwise Great App.

This is my favorite sun/moon photo app. I've tried the others and they were fine, but Phototime is the most straightforward, easiest for me to use. I don't need a lot of bells and whistles. I realize that's a subjective thing. For a while I had been using the free version, but went ahead and upgraded. I'm glad that I did.

Update Nov. '21: minus 1 star for exploiting notification system to spam upgrade offerings, which I did over a year ago. That move exudes arrogance, lacks class, and I do NOT appreciate it. Notifications thus turned off for this app. ---- ORIGINAL 2020: Superb widget, reflecting an exquisite app for photographers.

Excellent app! One minor note (just a question, really): In the (v2.0) "Theme" setting, are the labels identifying each of the two available choices ("Bali Mountain" and "Moonlight Sky") reversed, in relation to the background images actually displayed by the app? (Moto G4+, Android v7.0)

Simple and elegant! No adds, no trash. I would like to humbly beg for an alarm/notification for each of the values, but that is not part of the original design, not a criticism. Good work. Brilliant.
