It basically has everything that I need. I think paying around $4 for the 1-year PRO version subscription is incredibly generous considering how many features one will have access to. It's the definition of perfection for me. I wish the interface would be more appealing, but even though it isn't, it serves its purpose wonderfully. This is my favourite app. Saves me a lot of time and energy.
Not a very intuitive design! Good reference material, and I haven't really found any inaccuracies, but I would prefer to see a scholarly notation, not a jazz notation, in chord names. That said, great for reference, but it doesn't really do anything. I needed a chord progression mapper, and this isn't it. I can find other apps that do the same. Just cumbersome.
I purchased this app so it could help me sketch out ideas while away from my studio. I downloaded the free version, and it seemed like a winner. However, after buying it, every single time I try to use any feature the sound drops and the screen is blank. Also, almost nothing works in this app. all the "locked" features that I unlocked by paying money? NONE of them work properly. I am requesting a refund. I dont have time to try and get someone elses app to work. That I paid for. Sorry.
This app need to support notch and full screen compatibility. To the max the ability to rotate the screen the opposite way would be nice. And a basic tutorial for the newcomer would be useful. It was definitely one of the best piano app for making your custom song finding note and simply improve on piano playing. Absolutely recommend it to every musician artist or singer.
Im a guitarist who is into music theory. This app is great for mapping out music youve heard, or coming up with new music with their scale dictionary. Coming up with new melodic ideas with different scales is a lot of fun and everything feels so new. If you ever feel stuck, like your playing the same things, this app could change that very easily. Real solid app. I spent the money on the app to get rid of ads, and id do it again.
DEVS: there's so many bugs in real-life workflow of this app. FIX THEM! 1. Piano "jumps around" when scrolling view of keys, then pressing record/stop/cancel/record/etc. 2. In Scale Dict. when choosing a scale, then editing the scale to a different root note, then pressing "save" it just disappears?? 3. Scale detector shouldn't playback the full scale right when entering the notes, but AFTER! USE your APP and squash your Bugs. I paid for lifetime subscrip, I better get lifetime bug fixes!
Ever wanted to practice or learn piano or music theory in general? Maybe with guides for chords and progressions with an interactive display? One that shows the chords on the keys and let's you sample what they sound like with the ease of pressing a button? (It does so much MORE than just that) DOWNLOAD NOW!!..........Did I mention that it's free?
I've been searching for an app like this for a long time! I can finally make some chord progressions with ease at the phone and export to have fun later in my computer's DAW! Just be warned: it doesn't allow to save nor export unless you purchase the pro version.
great App and full of information, I love it. only thing I may complain about, it is a bit slower than expected. moving from one part to the other is slow, not sure why, maybe it access a server or something over the internet while using it. all in all, very informative application and we'll done.
I absolutely love it, I'm able to find all the chords I need even if I know a few notes only. While most use it for chord dictionary I actually wanted to use it for chord progressions, however I'm not too sure on how to use the chord progression part of the app. It's kinda confusing, with that being said I do think there should be videos on youtube or something like a tutorial going over the app in detail of all it can do. Especially on chord Progression. All in all it is a good app.
Is there a way to export files backups to Windows? I noticed you denote support for iOS, but do not indicate support for other OSs, nor denote ability to export any files. (I am using the app as a scratchpad for hooks to use in hip hop; I am not a musician or other artistic genious, but this app allows me to graph improvisation to create songs pristine; hip hop and rapping is not just 'a thing', a hobby, something to waste time with, but a door into my consciousness...). c what I did? lol.
The most you can want out of a free starter piano app. It has a piano play, with notes labeled. It has chord progressions. It has a circle of fifths for reference. It's definitely something I found helpful in my musical journey and would highly suggest trying it out!
Got everything I need for playing around with chord progressions and melodies. Chord dictionary and chord pads are great, my only problem is that the buttons to add new chords is too small, and I don't get notified if the button was pressed or not so I have to double check. 4 stars because of the small button problem.
I was very disappointed with this app when I looked up scales and put my phone in landscape mode so I could see them and 90 percent of the screen is filled with an unnecessary box I just want an app with scales why is that so hard to do?
I've always had a passion for musical instruments recently started learning piano/keyboard everything is self taught pandemic got us mentally depressed but learning new things make this time just little bearable. The app really help learning to read notes and understanding the theory side. The best thing about the app is that it's a lifetime purchase.
I like a lot this app, I have used it many times when I practice and I bought the pro version. Although the last month when I'm opening the scales dictionary it shows nothing and it's the reason I gave 4 stars. Please address this issue.
Great app useful for beginners and intermediate players, I like the range of scales which takes my playing to another level , I find it applicable when playing all genre of music....
Really helps me write music, and honestly it's been so beneficial--BUT IT CRASHES LITERALLY EVERY 60 SECONDS when making chord progressions and choosing chords. Pretty annoying, but at least the app doesn't take too long to close and restart? This is with the paid version, too.
I just downloaded this app and I give it 5 stars because of its multiple features. The chords dictionary, the piano and chords progressions features are especially useful for learning to play the piano and write sheet music.
I am not a piano player but, as a guitar player, I wanted to learn more about the structure of chords. This looks like a very professional and powerful app, with no ads in your face. Good work.
I just paid over $10 for an app that has been changed from what it used to be years ago when i had it on an older phone that crashed... you used to be able to tap the choice of notes, on a blank piano keyboard & it would play the sound exactly as you were playing and tell you the exact name of the key or chord you were playing. You cannot do that any longer with this apo. If you are looking for an app to do that, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ONE! 🥺
It is a good and quite useful app if you pay the subscription. I must admit that the interface isn't really friendly, though. Anyway, this a great tool for musicians (Mainly piano players) and it is nicely made, in overall.
Lite version lacks any valuable tools. All is does when you want to go to a section is tell you available in the light version. If then take wants to take you shopping four features that are listed in the title but not included when you download the free version. Sounds like bait and switch to me. I deleted it immediately
Very useful tool for finding chords and countless other features. The basic (free) version is all many need, although after using it for a year or so I am getting the full version. It takes a little time to learn how to use it but to be a better musician it is well worth it. Recommended.
Great reference for me as I begin playing piano and composing as a hobby. Really makes accessible what felt locked away behind hours and hours of music theory study. Super easy to use and complete app. Finally what I've been looking for for years!
As an actual musician I like the fact that you can add chords and things based off of intervals like the extended chords but I do wish they were all there by default. Also it would be cool to have a ear training system in here like interval ear training to be exact.
The kind of app I didn't know I'd want and now don't want to live without. It's easy and quick to look up chords when trying to analyze music and it's also (fairly) easy to add chord pads to experiment with chord progressions in keys I'm not yet super comfortable with. I really like the ability to add new scale and chord types and have them immediately available in any root I want, and who doesn't want to use a sus11+ when you're in a Lydian-y mood? Be honest.
