Piano Chords and Scales
App contains large library of chords, scales and chord progressions. You can change root note, inversion, and the quality of progression. Audio playback is available for all the list and elements. Chords and scales contain detailed description. App contains ascending, descending note playback. Notes can be displayed on virtual piano and staff views. Scale fingerings are available for all scales and they are displayed dynamically when scales is played. App also includes song composer that allows you to easily layout chords progressions. Song composer has recommend chord feature based on selected scale. This lets you find great ideas for songs or improve your existing songs. Simply listening to a key in its different modes can easily strike up an idea for a melody or riff.
You can see and hear how chords relates with scales and forms chord progressions. It can be used together with real piano and while you are studying for music theory or piano exams. You can benefit if you are playing by ear, but what to become better at sight reading.
Tool is based on fundamentals and very helpful for beginners. Experienced musicians can also benefit from song composing tool, that allows you to put together chords that work. It allows you to easily visualise how chords are built and how scales work. Very useful for you when writing songs.
A lot of focus on is put on simplicity and ease of use. User interface is well structured and does not contain too much details. Navigation is consistent and easy to use. Most details are contained in height of one screen, so information is shown in clean and focused way.

This is a very good app that teaches the chords. I give it 3 stars because in my opinion it needs some improvement. If you could add a full keyboard with all the piano keys that allows you to scroll either left or right to see the positioning of the chord on the keyboard. If you could also add an option to switch to left hand that allows you to see the positioning of the chords for the left hand as well. Again, this is a GREAT app, just a little tweaking is needed. Thanks!
Great for beginner. But you should know that you're learning triads instead of actual chords. For example in a c chord you play the notes on C E & G in sequence instead of the actual cord played together. I also noticed that some of the sevenths chords were off, but most beginners will never notice that. It would be nice if you could play chords with the left hand, and you highlighted the melody notes on right hand that would go perfect with that particular chord. this is 4.5 Stars.
I play guitar and just started to learn piano so I needed an app where i could see the scales. This app is so useful. It has everything i want and no advertisements. I'll upgrade in the future to support the developers so they can keep on creating great applications like this one. Far too good to be free and also free from adverts. Top job lads.
Paid for the upgrade twice and it still hasn't unlocked all the features and is stuck on the free mode.... Absolutely criminal
I like this app, as it has a large selection of chords. However, the chord sounds are not clear enough compared to an electronic keyboard. I sometimes have to test it with my electric keyboard to compare sounds to make sure it is the correct sound.
Don't use this app. If you want an app for checking on chords, this one has most of them disabled. Instead of wasting four bucks on this, go to a music store and pick up a paperback full of chord listings, that way you'll have all the chords plus a few cents left in change.
Very helpful, no advertisements, the free version gives you so much. I'll buy the premium version (which is only £3) later when I need it. The only criticism I have is to make a dark mode that's easy for the eyes. Apart from that, solid app.
i have purchased the full unlock and the system still doesnt recognize the purchase ( i still have the google play receipt)
The unlock doesn't work on Samsung s5e. Total ripoff.
OMG this app is just what was missing in my life. The Compose Song feature, and the Reverse Scale/Chord lookup features are simply god-send. Purchased the Premium Upgrade within 10mins. Kudos to you Dev
The chords all seem to be triads (There was no apparent way to construct sevenths) and while it had a Chord section and a Scale section, there was no apparent way to combine them. So you could ask for chords in CMaj, or notes in E Harmonic minor, but not the chords in E Harmonic minor. It's possible that it could do more stuff but it wasn't apparent how, so that's a sign of a bad UI, whuch us another reason to downvote it.
I like it good for dyslexic can be repeated no confusing stuff not to bad atoll you can learn a little bit at a time
With a just a fraction of Music knowledge, this is very help. All the chords and scales one will ever need clearly displayed.

I used to love this app a lot now I have to reduce the stard, I purchased the upgrade since last year but now it shows that I don't have one. I'm happy to pay 5 Euro yearly but please fix this
Great app. Just what I need. I even pay the upgrade for more. There is no ads and no pushy sales messages. The free version is giving me a lot already, more than I need at this time. I still pay the $3 just so I can have the rest of everything. I am very happy with this app.
This is THE ULTIMATE chord finding app. It has EVERY CHORD (including m7-5 ... which others dont) and much, much more . a work of art and organisation ... PERFECTION . . THANKYOU!!!
The free version still got everything you need as a beginner/casual player! P.S. can you remove the caption "(Major)" on Ionian scales because it's different (why does Aelioan don't have "natural minor" and others)
Works well. Navigating through the different screens is not as efficient as it could be, but otherwise, a very nice app.
Very helpful to give all the basic info a beginner to intermediate player would need without upgrading. Easy to understand to implement
Mediocre and have to pay for free information that is easily accessible from Wikipedia. Uninstalled & bought music theory pocket dictionary for $5- which one us the more comprehensive and accurate you can guess.
Im a guitarist, but just bought a midi controller for my DAW. Just want to learn a few chords to add more depth to my tunes.. This is perfect for that.
Thats about the worst music learning app I've seen. You have to pay for practically everything in there, so definitely not FREE as falsely advertised.
Do not buy, it will briefly gain you access to upgraded content but after opening the app again later it reverts to unpaid status. Complete theft, should be removed from Google immediately!
Great tool to use as a beginner! If you want to learn piano, scales are a great place to learn!

This is best app ,cause i was confused about chords and notes,now i have a better understanding of how i want my music to sound
Really useless unless you pay 3.99 (to start) and no description of what that gets you. I did not pay, so can tell you no more.

Hello! I purchased the full version of this app, but it still shows all the advanced chords as locked. When I try and purchase (again) I get an error message from google play saying I already own this item. I love this app but this is an annoying bug!
