Doesn't work properly on my Roland FP-30X because of the "server data acquisition failed (E003). Other apps work fine.
No way to zoom in on sheet music to use my phone for practice, too many times needed to "connect to sevrer". Navigation is not intuitive at all, some places you click on a song brings up a waterfall notes thing, or go deep in to song list to get the actual sheet music. Would be nice to have even a basic set of practice guide, chords practice or even 3wsy links for beginners to videos.
Huge Disappointment. One of the reasons we went with a Roland digital piano was because of the bluetooth connectivity and associated apps like this that would allow control of the piano and also display the music while playing. While this app does basically work, the interface is horribly clunky, making the app almost worthless. Even on a 10 inch tablet, the sheet music is too small to be legible and rotating to landscape only makes the music smaller. It doesn't scale. Terrible UI.
After using this app for several months I learned it is poor. If you are considering purchasing a Roland digital piano reconsider. The app is really slow to connect to the server and Bluetooth. I have purchased sheet music through the app and it only lets me print one copy - so it's a shame if you lose or write all over that copy. The sheet music player does not have variable tempo or a-b loop feature. No support at all. It's a shame because the hardware is good and the app has potential.
It works absolutely perfectly with my fp-30x, though bluetooth doesn't always work, usb OTG connection is reliable. It has a perfect exercise for learning to read sheet music, but the one thing that I really, really wish they added is the ability to change how many notes per exercise you get or add an endless mode, restarting the exercise every 5 notes is really annoying.
First time using it, tried the flash cards and it's the most basic program possible, 5 different cards then an annoying drum roll, stop what your doing to restart the flash cards. No settings available, I dont want to imagine when I start looking at other features. This app is not a reason to buy a roland piano and is absolutely poor quality so far. No effort or time gone into these features that they are advertising and to advertise it next to an expensive piano is embarassing.
Great as a controller for tones and metronome. Wish there was an option to add manual entries to the practice log. Everything else too basic or doesn't work (sheet music doesn't show up after being bought)
This app has great potential but is useless as it won't connect to my FP-30x. Troubleshooting is ineffectual. Bluetooth sees the two connections, just not MIDI through the app. Certainly spoilt my excitement of getting a new piano!
Rotating screen crashes app. Sync between current bar in sheet music and piano frequently off (or the app stops updating which bar it's on). Cannot zoom sheet music so using the app to read and play is not practical unless using one hand to hold phone to face.
I can't connect my piano by Bluetooth and not able to play any of the rythm
Does not work with my LX-705 using my Android 6.0 tablet. Prior to the latest release of the app, I could install it on my tablet, but I was having problems. I was hoping this update would solve my problems but now I can't even install the app to find out. I was told a few weeks ago by Roland that Android 5.1 or above was required. Last week the app was updated and now requires 7.1 or above. I hope this does not happen to Piano Designer because it runs well on my Android 6.0 tablet.
Fails every time I try to pair (bluetooth or USB) to an fp-30x saying "Server data acquisition failed[E003]. Please connect to a different internet, or try again later." My internet is fine as I am able to post this. Useless app
Almost useful, but can't practice a portion of a piece. You can only play/pause and restart from the *beginning*. I hope that feature is in the works at least.
The app freezes a lot. It also fails to record my playing time even though it records me playing! And whatever is the point of telling you how often you have 'hit the key'?
Piano Every Day only works on my 2018 Samsung A8 phone, and is therefore of very limited use to me due to the screen size. I wanted to put it on my Samsung S2 Tablet, but the tablet is maxxed out at Android version 7.0. Piano Every Day will not work with any Android versions below 7.1. So it appears that I cannot use the app unless I spend another $500 on a new tablet -- over and above the $1500 I just spent on a Roland keyboard and accessories. Rewrite app to work with 7.0, please?? Thx.
Your app does not have the permission to download something from your AWS S3 bucket every time it tries to connect the piano, making it completely unable to pair with FP-30X. Please fix!
Registered an account, and then moments later got an email that i had been registered at another site. Could be a coincidence, but i don't trust this app not to have been compromised.
Will not connect to the server. Asks that I use a different Internet. My Internet is working just fine. It is disgusting that Roland use this app as selling point but seems make no effort to ensure the app is working. Zero stars is more apt than one star!
7 dollars per one sheet. Come on, you must be mad. Good that I've checked it before buying a Roland digital piano, because with these outrageous prices of scores in the app, I've suddenly become more interested in Kawais and Yamahas.
Worst experience ever. Don't buy any music score through this app. The app just steals your money and you have no access to the score. I complained it to them but they never reply.
Can't even undo fixed key touch, now all the sensitivity is gone and every note will be blasted as if it's on full volume.
I can connect this with my android phone but unfortunately I can't connect it via my chromebook or andriod tablet. It will downloadband works but refuses to connect via Bluetooth
It's useful but I can not connect to the server. When I browser the store it shows "Failed to load".
Would not connect to my rp500. Finds the piano and acts like it's pairing, but no luck. I hope this app is being maintained, as the other piano partner 2 hasn't been updated in a year.
This app even exceeded my expectations. I don't understand the low ratings... It works perfectly fine with my OnePlus 6 and FP-30X
Appalling. Easily the worst app on any device. I have installed both Android and iOs versions and I could not be more disappointed. Barely functional, terrible user interface and experience. Unfortunately the log of practice time and the music/MIDI files used in the app are useful for accompaniment and as a way to learn without having to buy sheet music, otherwise I would never consider keeping this awful app.
