PicaDup: Duplicate Images
This application can delete photos on the SD Card for the Android Lollipop version and above.
Select one or more directories on your mobile and PicaDup will search for you all the pictures with the same views or subjects. Once the analysis is complete, it is possible to delete images in each group found.
This completely free application has no restrictions.
PicaDup incorporates advanced algorithms and features from the Panaustick application from the same author (http://www.panaustik.com). Hence it does not give false positives. It can handle a large number of images quickly. It detects duplicates even if the images are not the same size, have a different orientation or exposure, or are more or less sharp...
At the first run, images are scanned and analyzes are saved which can take some time. Then next runs are very fast.

Most through app! I downloaded 8 apps in all and this one found hundreds and the others with 4 stars could only find a dozen or so. This app will find similar images even if they are rotated, resized, different colored(filters), and so on. It's simply the best I've ever used and I've searched far and wide.
I have tried several other duplicate photo apps and this one is by far the best!
more then 300 duplicate pics on my SD were deleted.
After scanning is turning off
WORSE THAN USELESS! MANY NON-SIMILAR PICS MARKED AS IDENTICAL FLAGGED TO TRASH... BEWARE LOSS OF GOOD PHOTOS...
Ran this twice, found many duplicate but when trying to delete those selected it hangs at a red circle please wait screen, then says it's stopped. Tried twice more and same problem. Lenovo tablet with 5.1 android. Please fix

Takes forever to scan and shows no duplicates when I know for a fact there is. Dont waste uour time this app is absolute garbage.
You can't get passed step 2. It runs through your choice and finds the duplicates then goes right back to the beginning... Sorry but I tried running it 3 times....uninstalled....
Unfortunately it doesn't support HEIC images. I'm sure it works great with older devices, but new phones that use HEIC will not work... The app doesn't detect the photos at all! Additionally, when looking between two duplicates, there is a scroll animation when you click between the photos. This is a problem because you can't see which photo is better due to the sliding animation.
